I guess we have to wait awhile to see how it turns outWe have several story lines that don't seem all that good.Maybe they will have a common wealth when they all come togetherAnd it looks like Maggie is coming back
4/7/2020 12:11:29 AM
I feel bad for people that still watch this show that have to read and interact with ^ lazy ass "clever" spoiler posts
4/7/2020 8:58:53 AM
I’ve been complaining about them for a few pages now, I appreciate your sympathy
4/7/2020 7:46:31 PM
Stay strong
4/7/2020 11:10:37 PM
Maggie coming back is a spoiler? It is common knowledge
4/7/2020 11:55:41 PM
^No, it's his constant mentioning of "Commonwealth". It's not a huge spoiler, because average viewer won't know what that means, but still, seems unnecessary to include those things. Hell with the way they've deviated from the comics and started setting up the spin-off series/movies, even as a comic reader I consider it "loosely" based on the comics.
4/8/2020 8:40:27 AM
ok, I wish the final fight with Beta had been longer, but it was believable.I wish they had gotten the mask off during the fight, and Negan could have had an oh shit moment And season 11 will be the last, not sure if we should be sad about that. With all the new shows coming out, its like TWD is a commonwealth of new characters.
11/5/2020 10:22:12 PM
I assume there’s another thread for “Fear” but I think it makes sense to just consolidate everything at this pointAnyways:- I enjoyed the finale, I’m kind of glad the final fight wasn’t so drawn out...Darryl already beat him once anyways- I stopped watching “Fear” about 3/4 way through the damn season because I thought the show was so bad. With all the time on my hands now I decided to catch up...seems like I stopped at just the wrong time, because the season where Morgan joins is probably one of my favorite dead seasons between either show...Dillahunt is probably the biggest reason for that- World Beyond sucks so far, but I guess I’ll keep watching
11/6/2020 8:05:05 PM
Are people still watching this? I stopped around season 8. Did I miss anything of value?
11/7/2020 8:26:28 PM
Yes. No.
11/7/2020 9:07:15 PM
I've watched the first few episodes of The World Beyond. I really like the concept of seeing how the world has returned to nature ~10 years after the outbreak. TWD has kept to the Atlanta area for the majority of its run and we haven't seen too much of it. It's kind of cool seeing all of the zombies completely covered in moss/wasp nests/etc. I'm also enjoying the flashbacks to the initial outbreak. I would really like a spinoff show that focused entirely on the initial outbreak and the initial survival a few days and weeks after that. That is always my fav part of zombie shows/movies.The downside of The World Beyond is the characters. The acting leads a lot to be desired. I'm gonna give it a few more episodes to see how it goes.
11/9/2020 11:19:05 AM
^ agree, I didn't really expound on my opinion that it's not good, but basically, it's a good idea and welcome addition to the world, but the acting and writing is somewhere between "not good" and "awful" at this point
11/9/2020 2:51:56 PM
^^I stopped after 1-2 episodes (honestly can't remember). Good concept for a spinoff in TWD world, but the writing and the characters were horrible.
11/16/2020 11:01:01 AM
Yeah, lazy writing and horrible execution of the concept. So many things that don't make sense too. Kid wears a perfectly tailored corduroy three piece suit at all times because he claims zombies can't bite through it. That would be so restrictive in movement that it just wouldn't be practical.Main girl has a stick with a freakin fossilized triceratops horn strapped to it. Why would she not just strap a knife to it? Or steal one of the tools with a switchblade on the top specifically designed for stabbing zombies.[Edited on November 16, 2020 at 1:12 PM. Reason : corduroy]

Anyone watch the last few episodes? Standard meh stuff but I will say that I enjoyed the last episode showing Negan's backstory. Although this show jumped the shark years ago, it occasionally has a good episode here and there.
4/7/2021 11:09:19 AM
Yep that's the only good episode in a WHILE. Second best recent one is "One More," the bottle episode with the Russian rouletteThere's a sweet Easter egg in the Negan backstory. When Lucille changes a radio station from a news report on cannibal attacks to loud music the song is Partytime by 45 Grave. This is a song from the Return of the Living Dead soundtrack. [Edited on April 7, 2021 at 11:53 AM. Reason : -]

The second half of this season has been fairly pointless(though the Negan episode was solid). I'm taking it as being limited by COVID(thus the socially distanced zombies and the episodes focusing on groups of 2 or 3 people). Also feels like they're dragging things out a bit, hopefully with restrictions lifting the final season can get back to advancing the story and wrapping this show up in a semi-satisfying way. I have low expectations but will be interesting to see how they wrap things up considering how far they've departed from the comics and basically removed any chance of following that ending.
4/7/2021 1:08:12 PM
I try not to shit on this show because it's still better than 90% of what's on TV, but the Princess episode was kind of horrendous. I'm not sure if I thought so because it was obvious pretty quickly that everything going on was in her head, or just that it was a whole episode about shit that's not actually happening regardless of how obvious it was, or just that she's maybe the most expendable and inconsequential character on the show right now.Regardless, I've generally been enjoying the character focused episodes even if it is frustrating knowing that the show's ending and they've basically moved the plot forward about an inch through this recent run

isn't that what the new show is going to be? https://walkingdead.fandom.com/wiki/Tales_of_The_Walking_Dead[Edited on April 8, 2021 at 12:00 PM. Reason : ]

Which episode number is the Negan backstory? Because I'm not wasting my time anymore with all the episodes, but I would like to watch that one.
4/8/2021 1:18:31 PM
I don't know the episode number, but it aired on 4/4 and my DVR listed it as the season finale for I think season 10.DonMega I hadn't heard of that but hopefully it will be good. It has the potential to be very hit and miss.[Edited on April 8, 2021 at 1:34 PM. Reason : ]
4/8/2021 1:33:21 PM
And so the end begins. Not sure what I make of negan right now you know Maggie's not going to die and she's going to be pissed. And that one lady seen her picture started a revolution in her mind and she decided to stay.
8/23/2021 1:33:01 PM
My God the writing is lazy.
8/31/2021 1:51:39 PM
Oh this is back on? I thought they usually waited until October/Halloween to get started on it. I had no idea.
9/1/2021 4:23:30 PM
It's the final season, so they started early with more episodes. But things don't look good for Maggie and friends. And Eugene basically admitted his V card in an attempt to start a revolution in the minds of his interrogators. And Stephanie was black in the comics.
9/1/2021 11:37:28 PM
Well no update at the commonwealth, but the reapers slice and dice.Maggie didn't want to leave that guy, but he started a revolution in her mind and she realized she had to.Carol must have used to work at IKEA
9/5/2021 10:59:02 PM
So Darryl found his girlfriend, but she is hanging out with a rough crowd, I think he wants her to start a revolution with her, but I think she is loyal to her family.
9/12/2021 10:53:19 PM
So you can't use the two way radio without permission, what could you possibly use it for, starting a revolution or what?
9/21/2021 10:28:17 PM
Just watched it on DVRSo pope is suspicious of Darryl?Maybe worried he is going to start a revolution against him?I think his men are too loyal.
10/2/2021 12:53:56 PM
At this point how has anyone survived that can let a walker sneak up on them? It's been 10+ years, don't be a dumbass.Still beyond me as to why people are still using knives too, instead of poles/swords/machetes, etc...really ANYTHING other than a knife.
10/6/2021 12:27:52 PM
10/7/2021 11:08:46 AM
Haven't been in this thread in a while, but saw this
10/8/2021 2:56:11 PM
Yeah it's what I do.But looks like Darryl is trying to get Leah to help him start a revolution inside the reapers against Pope? And Eugene punched that privileged kid right in the face, he deserved it, I doubt he could ever hurt a fly.
10/9/2021 7:21:33 PM
10/12/2021 9:04:14 AM
It looks like Leah wanted to start a revolution, but not in the way Darryl had in mind. And Eugene done messed up again but I agree with him.
10/16/2021 4:02:03 PM
WhatTheFuck?(Revolution)
2/18/2022 10:46:49 PM
Well it looks like the revolution will not be televised, or will it?Looks like they found the secret room hahaHow much has been sacrificed for this society?]
2/25/2022 9:38:16 PM
She was never real? I wonder if that incites Eugene to revolt? It sounds like lots of people sacrificed something dear to them.I don't know. ]
2/28/2022 9:16:58 AM
The whole Darryl set up was pretty much a fake out, and the yes man is almost inviting a revolution with his shit, and now he mixing up Darryl's girlfriend in all this She will probably kill him herself
3/29/2022 11:00:22 PM
so darryl had to kill her, and yes man has all but caused a revolution
4/16/2022 12:04:28 AM
Is it ok if I ask what that lost his head stuff a few years back was about?
4/16/2022 12:57:07 AM
the whisperers marking their territoryit kinda flew right off the bat, it took guts to pull off, i think someone shit their pants, but the whole common wealth of the ideas came together, as long as gimple didnt burn it all downrevolution]
4/17/2022 1:05:25 AM
So they cancelled the Rick movies I'm favor of a show.Maybe it will be better, but somehow I doubt it Remember seasons 3-6, when people actually chose walking dead over Sunday night football? Remember?Maybe it's time for a revolution against gimple.

Anyone watch the new "Tales of the Walking Dead" series? I caught the first two episodes. Glad to see some stuff in the universe that isn't tied to the existing stale characters.[SPOILERS BELOW]First episode was actually pretty good. Cool to see how different people react differently to an end of the world scenario. In this case, preppers who actually ended up being right, and how they deal with slowly going insane.Second episode was an interesting premise but I don't get why they introduced a Groundhog Day-esque time loop. Makes no sense in the Walking Dead universe why suddenly these two random people are reliving the same day over and over again. Cool seeing some of panic going on during the initial outbreak though. I think it would have been better if they just showed that day from the perspective of all the different side characters.
9/6/2022 1:41:08 PM
That sounds weird, although I suppose you have to mix it up a bit before every spinoff turns into the exact same story
9/6/2022 6:35:22 PM
9/6/2022 6:39:50 PM
It's been different, but I have liked it.You nailed it with the preppers, I like how that one lady immediately tries to kill him upon meeting him.The groundhog day thing was out of nowhere, doesn't fit the universe at all, but was entertaining.More backstory for Alpha, hopefully they follow that up with how she became alpha (I wonder how it fits with how we already saw her meet Beta)The scientist guy doing his "study" and the reveal at the end was kinda sad, I expected he was going to die and she was going to continue his work. Then "The Village" and it turns out the leader lady/and son and is the killer, and not the outsider, and then the guy has the amnesia that slowly goes away. It was ok to watch but I feel like this kind of story has been done over and over across different genres.
9/10/2022 3:56:48 PM
i dont even know where to start with that shit
9/11/2022 11:35:24 PM
Well, that was unexpected, it looks like the revolution will be televised.
