[I don't actually care]

Lot of GS fans are butthurt over this championship. Its kind interesting. Like they can't enjoy because everyone is saying it was too easy.
6/27/2017 4:41:22 PM
Yeah we're crying ourselves to sleep right now because Westbrook won the regular season MVP and it was 'too easy'. GTFO. It's going to be a long few years if they re-sign Iggy and I don't want to hear it from you salty 'fans' when you have to endure another California dynasty. [Edited on June 27, 2017 at 4:49 PM. Reason : haters]
6/27/2017 4:48:31 PM
^Prime example. Defensive, butthurt fans. Very strange...but I guess it makes sense.
6/27/2017 5:04:54 PM
I mean I get that you're trolling, but try harder.
6/27/2017 5:25:30 PM
Trolling or not...doesn't change the fact that GS fans are defensive as shit about this title.
6/27/2017 6:18:55 PM
I think most 'real' GSW fans are a probably a little tired and bored with all the hate they've had to deal with from internet trolls like you people over the past three seasons and listening to the non-stop excuses for Lebron and Cleveland knobslobbers for not putting up much of a fight this year, but that's about it. Life as a Ws is actually pretty fucking great- especially if you can afford to live in the Bay Area. I get why everyone else is jealous of us, but it's not our fault we've got it so good I would have posted about Draymond's DPOY win or pictures from the Dubs parade the other day, but none of you care about anything other than Westbrook, as evidenced by my troll post last night.Looking forward to MAH DUBZ winning it all over again next year
6/27/2017 7:40:50 PM
brings up westbrooksays nobody cares about anything but westbrook when they respond to him bringing up westbrook
6/27/2017 8:00:50 PM
I think its bandwagon fans that get the most defensive because they're the ones that have to prove their fandom the most. They know that they just became "hardcore fans" once the team started doing well the past couple years. That would definitely explain UJustWait and a lot more recent GS fans.
6/27/2017 8:06:17 PM
Sportstalk NBA trigger words: Westbrook, Lebron
6/27/2017 8:07:50 PM
i've said this previously in this thread. where are all the real oakland fans at? bunch of silicon valley types sitting in the lower levels. apparently they really gave these things out -
6/27/2017 9:54:32 PM
I'm not going to give GS a lot of hate considering they did a lot of building from the ground-up and I can't knock good management in a league that operates with a salary cap. They're not the Yankees or the Red Sox, who just bought their championships. They're clearly the class of the league that meets historical metrics. Expectations are high. Anything but a repeat next year would be an absolute failure.

6/28/2017 7:21:03 AM
6/28/2017 7:21:41 AM
who gives a shit if you "buy" a championship. the point is to win. going out and getting the best players to accomplish that is a good thing, not a bad thing.
6/28/2017 8:16:17 AM
Those "authentic fan" signs aren't new. They've been around forever. The A's have the same signs, and I'm pretty sure I've seen Giants and Sharks ones too. It's a CSN thing, so I guess you can laugh at Comcast on the internet if it makes you feel better about not having your own championship parade.
6/28/2017 8:25:48 AM
Get out of here with the "buying a championship" crap. If you could just buy championships I believe the Yankees, Los Angeles Raiders, and Redskins would have many more titles. You do realize that the Cavs actually have MORE cap space than the Warriors right? And both of those teams are significantly over the cap and paying a hefty luxury tax. Don't act like the Warriors aren't buying championships too when they have -$29 million in cap space.
6/28/2017 9:03:25 AM
you realize the cavaliers just had the largest team salary in NBA history this past season (by a large margin), right?
6/28/2017 9:12:47 AM
Didn't the Cavs as a franchise lose money in 2016, despite winning the finals, due to their crazy roster?EDIT: Heard on a podcast a while ago so I could be entirely wrong.[Edited on June 28, 2017 at 9:39 AM. Reason : .]
6/28/2017 9:38:43 AM
^^Yeah but GSW is top 5 in spending and they're about to spend a lot more. I'm talking about 2017 salary cap numbers, but yeah, the Cavs have spent a ton, but this whole "GSW is using cheap talent" narrative went away last year when they picked up KD. They're going to be doing the same thing the Cavs did and paying a huge luxury tax the next few years to keep their talent.I mean Gilbert has been paying out of the ass but he was a KD acquisition from having 2 rings in Cleveland..a city ravenous for sports success. Feels like Gilbert is about tired of spending the money though.
6/28/2017 10:04:39 AM
I'm just thankful I don't have to live in Oakland
6/28/2017 11:55:07 AM
holy shit Houston is gonna be damn gooddidn't think CP3 was really gonna leave the Clippers
6/28/2017 11:55:12 AM
Please explain how the team that's had the highest team salary for like the last three seasons has more cap space than golden state. I can't find anything to back up your statement.

CP3 would have been better off with the Spurs. The Clippers got hosed in that trade, but I don't think the Rockets are actually any better. They've got a great back court now, but it's not enough. Just ask the Blazers how's that's working for them. And this "fan" stuff is tired. It's not surprising rich SV types are driving up ticket costs and ruining everything, but they've done that with housing, the dining scene, and everything else in that was nice/fun the Bay Area before. You can't blame working class people for not wanting to drop $300 for a pair of nosebleed tickets during the regular when rents for a studio are 2k a month in Oakland these days. If you want to see what "real" Oakland fans look like, go to a viewing party at Mad Oak or a dive bar like Merchant's. Or, they're like me and they stock up at BevMo or Costco or craft beer and watch the game at home or at a BBQ with friends.

Yeah, you aren't gonna get what a player is worth when they're going out the door. 3 decent players is much better than nothing. This is way better than what Chicago got for an all star in his prime.
6/29/2017 10:38:00 AM
My bad, didn't read all details on the trade. Didn't see they got Beverley AND Lou Willaims AND a first round pick in 18 (plus more). Yeah nm [Edited on June 29, 2017 at 11:31 AM. Reason : .]
6/29/2017 11:30:01 AM
You left out dekker and harrell who are possibly the centerpiece of the trade.MDA about to go with his classic 7 man rotation lol. They cant rid themselves of ryan anderson though no one will take him. Thats gonna screw them hard.

6/29/2017 2:34:55 PM
James Harden is better than Blake Griffinjust because you don't like a player doesn't mean that their new team isn't gonna be good

6/29/2017 2:40:18 PM
I only got the memo about your Mom.
6/29/2017 2:45:06 PM
I mean, Clippers got a starter, 6th man, 1st round pick, and a bench player for a guy that could have left in FA...I'm not sure how they lost that trade.
6/29/2017 3:28:18 PM
which is infinitely better than losing him in free agency and getting nothing at allthe person who said that has no idea what they're talking about
6/29/2017 4:28:24 PM
NBA offseason is just the bestany herbs who shat on Durant for joining the Warriors want to shit on him for waiting to sign his deal so the Warriors will have more money to spend on Iggy or an Iggy replacement?
7/1/2017 2:51:16 AM
Because everyone criticized Durant for going to the Warriors for the money...
7/1/2017 5:43:06 PM
The Ws def overpaid to keep Iggy, but it doesn't matter. Crazy money is being thrown left and right to players who haven't achieved nearly as much as he has, so I think most Warriors fans are cool with it. Glad they kept him, but I bet he won't be around for three years.
7/2/2017 2:13:49 AM
Warriors finally getting paid. Good for them. Not sure why anyone would want to give the owner a break. Make him pay that luxury tax. The value of the team has gone from $400M to $2.8B. Players are not getting anything near their value to the team. That is why durants taking less money talk is so foolish.[Edited on July 2, 2017 at 8:39 AM. Reason : B]
7/2/2017 8:16:22 AM
but durant is going to take less money. there is no way they could have resigned livingston and igoudala if durant was going to take a max contract. this iteration of the warriors will be around for 2 more years at the most.
7/2/2017 9:18:44 AM
So two more rings? Sounds good.
7/2/2017 5:17:17 PM
Man, between the POTUS and my GSW, idk what I'm going to do about all of this winning.
7/3/2017 2:14:57 PM
please let the hayward sources be true, I need some reason to watch the eastern conf playoffs; I wonder if that would leave tatum as trade bait, I think he'll be solid but can't see him as a star type player so I was a little disapointed in the pick (not that I even like the celtics, just like IT and want some challenge in the east)[Edited on July 4, 2017 at 3:40 PM. 7/4/2017 3:39:51 PM
You got your wish, but the likelihood for yet another Ws/Cavs final is still pretty damn high. I feel bad for the Jazz since now whatever momentum they had for the future is gone, but even if Hayward stayed, it's not like they'd really have a shot to get past the first or second round. The West is still stacked like crazy.

Despite the huge talent disadvantage, Spurs will still probably end up being the 2nd best team in the West. I honestly have no idea which 3 of the next 5 teams will be around outside of that cluster of 3 new superteams.WarriorsSpursThunderRocketsTwolvesBlazers?Pelicans?Clippers?Grizzlies?Lakers?
