I've had a smart phone for 2 years. I'm not sure I've used more than about 1GB total.
12/14/2016 3:16:14 PM
RW is still a good deal but i see now mintsim is $11/month for 2gigs on same network as RW t-mobile https://www.mintsim.com/
2/8/2017 5:16:56 PM
Got a moto G5 plus last week with RW. No regrats
4/9/2017 7:19:20 PM
It looks like a solid phone. I'm still clinging to my MotoX first Gen and refund plan.
4/10/2017 5:15:30 PM
^^^ WHEN YOU BUY 3 MONTHS, FOR NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY
4/15/2017 5:31:08 PM
^yes the regular price is $35/month. if you were going to switch would want to sign up for a whole year at $11/month then switch to something else if you want
4/16/2017 9:55:15 AM
^^^Same here. Got a pair of Moto X's for the wife and I. One son has a Moto E and my youngest uses my wife's old Moto G (but not actually activated on RW). I do want to try out that new phone though as mine is getting pretty slow.
4/16/2017 10:36:49 AM
^Our MotoX's are slow as well and hang on certain apps. My OK Google rarely works anymore and hands free texts and calls only work half the time. Lately it's had trouble connecting to various wifi. I did replace the battery on both of them a few months ago which made a big difference. The refund plans are hard to beat for me as I use less than 500mb/month. I'm hoping I can make it until the end of the year. I doubt the wife will put up with it that long.
4/16/2017 5:35:56 PM
anyone tried mintsim(linked a few posts up)? I just bought a 3 month ride, curious as to how people like/hate/are satisfied with this provider
4/26/2017 4:29:54 PM
^ i seriously thought about it but like someone pointed out its only cheap for 3 months then its $35 for 2 gigs. RW is $20 for 1 gig which is plenty cause i download all my podcasts on wifi before i leave the house. it should work the same as RW since its t-mobile network also[Edited on April 26, 2017 at 5:27 PM. Republic Wireless got sold off to DISH and now is being converted to Boost Infinite. After nine years I'm finally porting out and going over to Google Fi.RIP Republic Wireless.
8/26/2023 12:05:02 PM
How much does it run annually?
8/26/2023 1:58:01 PM
I've got 4 phones for the family, so I'm doing the $80/month family unlimited plan.
8/26/2023 3:58:05 PM
8/26/2023 8:31:01 PM
i still had RW but going to boost now, im ok with $25 for unlimited data with infinite price guarantee.
8/28/2023 6:57:13 PM
Yea for one person it is fine if you don't use hotspot, which you lose with the transition to Boost. I am an occasional hotspot user, both for work and for my hobby, so I wasn't interested in paying an extra $10/month to get hotspot back.Actually been pretty impressed with Fi already. I bought a Pixel 7 last year, but got a credit of $150 paid over two years for activating a 7 on Fi, which was a promo they had going. My wife has an old 4a, so I used another two year credit for buying a 7a and then did the two years 0% financing to get her a new phone at no out of pocket cost, and then two credits will pretty much wipe out the cost difference for her phone. Even if it is a couple bucks more, my new plan is about $20/month cheaper and almost doubled our data for every phone, going from 20GB a month per line to 35GB.
