^^ uh so what?
10/22/2011 6:48:59 PM
the espn announcer was wrong though in defining a muffed punt. the ball can touch the ground and still b considered muffed. the key is the punt reciever cant control the punt. if control then its a fumble and can be advanced.
10/22/2011 6:50:22 PM
the other team who stalled on offense doesn't deserve a free td just because i guy didn't catch the punt.
10/22/2011 6:50:24 PM
Good point E. Can't have all those TDs.Damn free TDs.[Edited on October 22, 2011 at 6:52 PM. Reason : .]

Better make sure you get players that catch punts then

If you see some muff, you're just supposed to dive right in on it.

daddywill and I are the only ones who had faith
10/22/2011 7:11:00 PM
i had no faith, i can admit.[Edited on October 22, 2011 at 7:12 PM. Reason : i still really don't, but a win is always nice.]

So now our only bowl hope is to beat Carolina, Maryland and BCBecause no way in fuck we're beating FSU or Clemson
10/22/2011 7:53:59 PM
^ Have faith. Every year we always lose a game we're not supposed to (already did that with Wake and Cincy) and win a game we're not supposed to (see future opponents of Clemson or FSU)

^^where did you make this prediction?[Edited on October 22, 2011 at 8:32 PM. Reason : ^]
10/22/2011 8:31:40 PM
I feel you but theres different type of fans. Theres fans that are happy going to bowl games and theres fans that want more. I can't really knock the other group of fans but I disagree and personally, I would love to have a relevant team in the conference race. I rather risk not getting to bowls at all for the chance to be a contender some day. There are many that share my feelings but there are also many that would rather be guaranteed to go at least 5-7 every year than taking that risk.
10/22/2011 9:04:06 PM
^^ idk where he did but i made the amerson pick 6 prediction on page 1.

outlier[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 12:03 AM. Reason : i didn't mean once. i meant typically. ]
10/23/2011 12:02:52 AM
But this year isn't an outlier considering our extreme amount of injuries? Your logical progression is extremely lacking.
10/23/2011 12:04:40 AM
we had an extreme amount of injuries in other seasons. we lost 7 games in every other season. those are clearly norms.
10/23/2011 12:05:37 AM
So a normal level of injuries is an outlier for an NCSU team. In other words normal is abnormal for NCSU. Nice to know e-man...Holy shit I just figured it out E-man references Ohboyeeeee and don beeebe two of your past troll aliases. WTF do the admins on this board still put up with your shit? 10/23/2011 12:16:40 AM
wat
10/23/2011 12:30:48 AM
O'Brien said he has never seen anything like the injuries we've seen this season. i can't remember specifically, but i feel like there was a season or two like this (injury-wise).
10/23/2011 3:33:33 AM
E Man is so obviously NOT OhBoyeee.I may not agree with everything he is saying, but yes the year we lost Nate for the season because of his accident, we had an absurd amount of injuries as well. This is the third season we've had an abnormally high man-games lost during the season.Team is looking better though, we can get to 7 wins and make a bowl. And if they do I will be satisfied.
10/23/2011 9:34:42 AM
10/23/2011 9:54:49 AM
Broken feet/ankle injuries could be a problem with the practice field's surface.
10/23/2011 9:59:16 AM
So is this what we are going to argue about for a week since we won and can't complain about that?
10/23/2011 10:08:37 AM
^^ True enough is that something that will be fixed by a different head coach though?^ Certainly looks like it...
10/23/2011 10:19:29 AM
the hating really died towards the end of this thread. did we outscore them?
10/23/2011 10:50:13 AM
Pretty sure I remember UVa being 5-7 on 3rd downs at one point in the game...they finished 5-17. So 10 straight 3rd down stops for the D. Very impressive. Also Glennon wasn't sacked yesterday. [Edited on October 23, 2011 at 1:14 PM. Reason : ]

i'm wondering how many of these injuries are being exaggerated because guys just don't want to give it their all for TOB[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 4:18 PM. Reason : .]
10/23/2011 4:18:27 PM
The play yesterday where we had 2 guys down is a good example -- our lineman got injured by a player getting beat on the other side of the line. The opponent just rolled up on our lineman's leg. When you have no depth and guys who can't play their position, it leads to more hits from unexpected angles. Who knows if it is training, equipment, etc., as well. Bad players are dangerous to everyone else on the field. All of this is on TOB. His poor recruiting and coaching had led to big gaps on our lines for most of his time here.
10/23/2011 4:28:48 PM
it's been statistically proven that State would win 2 or 3 more games per year if the fans didn't bitch out like little girls constantly
10/23/2011 4:38:28 PM
Hahaha, this chode is looking forward to winning 2-3 more games this season -- none of which would even get us to the shittiest bowl. Have some self respect.
10/23/2011 4:53:47 PM
skokiaan is still pissed about Glennon being an above-average quarterback
10/23/2011 5:01:21 PM
3 games would put us at 7 wins and a bowl. At the beginning of the season, I would have been happy with 7 wins.Let's be real here, this is NC State.
10/23/2011 5:12:17 PM
Surprised we won but don't get used to it. This team isn't good. Just beat unc please
10/23/2011 9:39:54 PM
^We might not be good, but neither are 3 of our 5 remaining opponents. I don't think anyone here is thinking we've turned a corner and are now challenging Clemson for the division title.
10/23/2011 9:50:14 PM
when underwood made that huge TD i was all....underwood who??and then i was all.. aww yeh bryan underwood. my boy.ps. unc, bc, and maryland are garbage like us too. we have a shot at all 3. but not too likely we actually beat all three :/
10/23/2011 10:23:39 PM
opened as an 18 point underdog to FSU
10/23/2011 11:11:01 PM
i saw -19.5 actually. i'll take 18 thoughwe were 6 point dogs to uva and won by 14. so does that mean this game is going to be a nail biter?[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 11:15 PM. Reason : x]
10/23/2011 11:14:49 PM
uva was in the clouds. fsu is pissed and will be on a mean streak over how we stole the game from the last year (or how they gave it to us). We lose by 21. NCSU 14FSU 35
10/23/2011 11:22:34 PM
this is a cold hard revenge game.they are out for blood for that shit that happened to them last year.for some crazy reason i see our defense matching up well with their offense. but their defense literally grinding our offense to a halt as well.something like 21-17 type game.[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 11:29 PM. Reason : x]
10/23/2011 11:28:24 PM
UNC, BC and MD all may be just as bad as us. And in typical NC State fashion, it is likely we will win 2 games going into the MD game. And like always, we will pull some NC State shit and lose to Maryland. As much as we play big against FSU and upset them at the most unlikely time, Maryland has a habit of being the NC State spoiler. Mainly because we often play them at the end of the season and NC State shit never takes a season off.
10/24/2011 12:07:28 AM
I actually see us giving FSU a run for their money. They are NOT as good as everyone thinks. That being said, we will lose, but I think it will be much closer than 18 points or whatever the most recent prediction is.
10/24/2011 12:42:41 AM
^ who thinks FSU is good this season? They're a 'middle of division in an average conference' type team. Only Clemson is unbeatable this year.
