Goodbye mama, now you can have ice cream in heaven! I'll see you again tonight when I go to bed in my head movies. But this head movie makes my eyes rain!

I guess the fact that it's raining and Cam looks a little cross eyed, but I'm not sure either.

so glad I always bring a poncho. The monsoon was great, not something I would want to sit through week in and week out but definitely a memorable experience for Cam's first win. Never could get definitive proof about Stewart's overruled circus catch but that should have been a late half score for us. On to Chicago next week, hopefully Greg Hardy can keep his QB hunger going and really pound Cutler.

I still don't know if it hit the ground or not, pretty difficult to tell when the only views of the replay are cameras with water all over the lenses

It looked like it had to have been down at some point there and I am pretty sure it was down, but...

there was never a shot showing the elbow actually touching the ground. Its bullshit, are refs in the NFL allowed to make leaps like that? Show me the shot with the elbow down and I will recant.

yeah, there was nothing you could categorize as 'irrefutable evidence.'

based on his trajectory, his elbow should have hit the ground, but you never saw it.

Sunday a fan was presented with an official "game worn jersey" and it was a #2 Jimmy Clausen. I would have protested hard for them to take it back

they should remove all the #2s on his jersey and replace them with skidmarks

A "game worn jersey" from an inactive player is an egregious fallacy. At least give the dude Jordan Senn or Richie Brockel.

Apparantly the Panthers are a looking at WR Donnie Avery and LB Aaron Curry.

Avery is a free agent and would be a no-brainer pick-up IMO. Gives us some serious speed in the slot.

Curry is still playing for Seattle, but recently lost his starting job. He was the #4 pick in the draft a few years ago, so there's definitely upside there. Seems like a classic case of the "light" not coming on yet.

Anyway, I'd take both for the right price

Won't Curry still have a high contract as the number 4 pick in the old system? Something like tens of millions of dollars?

Yeah, shit. Forgot about that. I wonder how long his contract is.

Pete Carroll seems pretty detatched from Curry, so maybe they'll just cut him out right. Doubting it happens mid-seasont though.

There's also a rumor that Clausen is being discussed as trade bait for Curry. Not sure if I believe it, but it's pretty hilarious if true

if they trade anyone for Clausen, with their recent history of of QB acquisitions, they deserve to be blown up or relocated

in bank of America stadium the way water drains down off of the top level was just dumb as hell its like 8 seats are fucked with dirty ass water and then the whole ring around the field got crazy flooded, people in the end zone were just splashing water onto the field which did flood pretty damn fast. I still had a great time and I stayed in my seats through the whole 2nd qt until halftime

^^where else do you want the water to go? and did you notice how quickly the field drained once everything funneled from the upper levels to the playing surface? A minor inconvenience for those number of seats that would have probably never been noticed if not for the storm of the century.

should have Godfrey and Gamble for Sunday.

i've been impressed with Greg Hardy and Charles Johnson so far. in my eyes, Johnson has earned his contract through 3 weeks.

i have to feel like with how injury prone he is, he needs to lose weight. someone his size and weight with knee and back problems? not hard to figure out why.
