4/3/2011 10:10:16 PM

4/3/2011 11:43:18 PM

4/5/2011 3:19:27 PM
Apparently your B-spec driver is E.T.
4/5/2011 4:21:37 PM

4/5/2011 11:09:32 PM
I need a wheel if I'm ever going to earn the X1.

^^&^^^When you get to B-Spec Level 35 you automatically get the Red Bull X2010.
4/6/2011 8:32:12 AM
I came across that abbreviated tuning guide that I was talking about- it is pretty simple while giving you a lot of very good tuning advice.http://www.gamershell.com/faqs/granturismo5cartuningguide/1.00/
4/6/2011 1:04:21 PM
Just borrowed Pat's F2007 for the seasonal challenge. Holy crap that thing is fun! 1st place!
4/6/2011 2:10:08 PM
You get a lot of loot from those Ferrari F1 races too
4/6/2011 9:00:00 PM
Biofreak70 = tater_926figure i'd go ahead and throw that out there
4/8/2011 11:17:53 AM
also, I think this is how remote racing should have been done in the first place:http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=185890although, I wish they had more options for information to be displayed, I like that it automatically runs it for you (I always forget to go in and start a new race)... this should make getting $$ a bit easier!PS- that is a link for a widget for bspec racing that allows you to start it up, and it will automatically start races for you, and you can set how it wants to run the races based on several factors:
4/8/2011 11:34:56 AM
that widget is cool
4/8/2011 11:50:08 PM
Just set it to run til tomorrow afternoon!
4/8/2011 11:55:18 PM
GD widget won't login for me even though I can login via the website
4/9/2011 5:59:15 PM
it actually shut down for me at somepoint over night, and looked like it was having some problemsbut the lady wanted to use the PS3 to watch some glee blu rays ( ) while I was at work so I never bothered setting it back up
4/9/2011 6:01:18 PM
last week i went back to doing seasonals for the first time since I got the game... is it just me or have some of them gotten much easier? a few of the races don't have any max tuning/PP/HP limits, just info on the typical power of the opponents' cars
4/15/2011 12:35:39 PM
they lifted the strict restrictions, reduced the payout, and made them repeatable.
4/15/2011 12:54:25 PM
^you're confusing two different things. The current races that are updated/added are 5 race groups using the same type of car. What ^^he was talking about are the bonus races that we used to have. They're not the same thing. And IMO they suck b/c they're ridiculously easy
4/15/2011 1:19:31 PM
yeah but no one has access to the old bonus races anymore, so that's moot. i was combining the two. the seasonals now used to be unrestricted entirely, now have PP limits that don't really make them hard still. seasonal bonus race (old) - one car choice, can only mod to meet strict HP and weight settings, everything else is game. typically ranged in difficulty from being moderate (lower payout) to harder (high payout). can only get first place credits and exp once (1). seasonal bonus race (newer) - one car choice, unlimited modding. result in dramatically reduced difficulty overall. payout scheme and repeatability the same.seasonal 'bonus' races - mini series races, unlimited modding, limited to car make, type, or certain drive trains. dramatically lower payout. not very difficult. fully repeatable for exp and creditsseasonal 'bonus' races (current) - mini series races, PP limited, else unlimited modding. again restricted to car make, type, or certain drive trains, lower payout but have been remarkably ok recently. fully repeatable. i for one would like to see a monthly or bi monthly or for real life holidays a bonus race of the old style (strict or not) for both a car experience and a nice hot wallet injection. but other than that the new series have been VERY entertaining. (Kei car and the Lambo events have been great)
4/15/2011 3:19:37 PM
there are at least 2 current series (sport pickup and 4wd) that are completely unlimited (other than class=pickup or drivetrain=AWD). not sure about the others[Edited on April 15, 2011 at 6:19 PM. Reason : .]
4/15/2011 6:16:25 PM
If anyone's interested the next race in the league I host is May 2nd. Lounge opens at 7, race starts at 830.350Zs versus S2000s...PM for details.
4/21/2011 3:18:28 PM
Any of you haters interested in a race in two weeks?Race Mod NSX '91 vs Race Mod Elise '96 at SSR5
5/26/2011 10:03:18 AM
Damn, I haven't played since PSN went down.
5/26/2011 10:54:20 AM
I started doing 10-15 lap races around High Speed Ring with a bunch of people every Monday night. They do the races from around 8-11pm and people are constantly coming and going. But there's always at least 12 people racing so it makes for a lot of fun! Here are 2 pics from the races from this past Monday:I'm in the white M Coupe
6/1/2011 9:37:41 AM
nice, I might drop in there every once in awhile.
6/3/2011 2:33:53 PM
btttjust spotted this in the News box in game, found more info online:
10/5/2011 6:58:55 PM
keep us posted! I haven't gotten one, and I'd love to have it (the wrecks I got with TKE-Teg's were amazing!)
10/5/2011 9:24:32 PM
They better not do that while my PS3 is broken.
10/5/2011 10:02:56 PM
Just picked this game up and I'm a bit overwhelmed.
10/6/2011 10:36:43 AM
10/6/2011 12:45:30 PM
^Other good advice, after doing the licenses, is to do the online seasonal races. The cash payouts for those races are huge (most are $500k+ for 5 lap races).I saw this thread was bumped, and the X2010 news is good however this news is even better (and is the reason I thought it was bumped actually):
10/6/2011 1:05:17 PM
I wished I still had a ps3 just for this game, but I got tired of waiting. Its an amazing looking game considering its an old game engine. I've had to replace it with shift 2 as of late, but no where near the same experience that I remember from the GT days.
10/6/2011 1:25:08 PM
Are you guys in any leagues or structured races? I think some structure would get me playing more. Its super fun, but i'm always too lazy at night to setup the steering wheel. :/
10/6/2011 8:28:00 PM
Mmk, I'm getting the swing of things. Went through all the B and A license tests last night without too much difficulty. I still feel like the turning sensitivity is too damn high. I could breathe on the joystick and turn left. What settings can I adjust to make my cornering and turning better?
10/8/2011 9:42:13 AM
^^I was in one TKE-Teg set up that had a couple of tww-ers in it, but I just lost interest (didn't have time to keep up with things) - It was pretty fun... I'd PM him to see if they are still doing it
10/8/2011 10:00:03 AM
It kinda faded out.
10/8/2011 6:36:50 PM
Free Red Bull x2010 for everyone! The only problem is every m/f online track looks like this now:
10/9/2011 8:28:57 PM
I don't run a league with TWW'ers anymore. I got sick of the effort I put into things only to have 3-5 people show up race day due to lack of interest. However I do run in a few other series so if anyone is interested shoot me a PM and maybe you can join.
10/9/2011 11:18:30 PM
VERSION 2.0 IS OUT!Christmas come early...go download it now (1192 mb or so)
10/10/2011 11:35:32 PM
Hey! I always tried to come! The trick is to be more dictatorial about it. I for one appreciated the efforts you put in.
10/11/2011 11:03:48 PM
Thanks man I appreciate that. Are you ever on much these days?(maybe I'll try to start something up again)
10/12/2011 8:47:02 AM
Off and on like usual, depends on school load and life load. I try to get on a little here and there. Spec II will force all the tuners to redo everything it seems. The enzo drives like a drunk water buffalo now.
10/12/2011 11:59:41 AM
Finally got my new PS3. GT5 backed up fine from USB stick and I'm now the proud owner of a X2010... just like everyone else.
10/18/2011 1:15:35 PM
DLC content was pushed back a week However Kaz promised a bonus for our "troubles"
10/18/2011 4:50:44 PM
I just looked at all the DLC for GT5. I had really hoped that I would be able to avoid giving Sony my credit card number, but I really want the new cars and tracks.
