so far the only thing i hate about fantasy football is the fact that if one player goes off, you have a good chance at winning. I'm playing a guy that got 30 points from the Eagles D but hasn't gotten double digits from anyone else. I have like 4 guys in double digits, but nothing close to the eagles D points, so if TO doesn't outscore tom brady tonight, im gonna lose........because the panthers offense sucks cock. Thats what pisses me off.

Also, the guy with Drew brees in my league got 41 pts from Brees and he has 62 pts overall....and hes got a very good chance to win

Yeah I hate in basketball when Kobe scores 81 but the rest of his teammates don't do shit, and the Lakers still win the game

Its fucking bullshit; everyone should have to contribute equally to make it fair

If Welker plays, Welker hands down. I have not seen lineup, still in office, but I am assuming Welker is playing. He is like the starting RB for the Pats lol.

Moss needs to cool off right now, and I still have a chance. I am down 12.5, with Rivers up for me and Gates for my opponent in the Chargers game.

^^ wow, Brees & Rivers? I'd trade Ocho for Jacobs, but that's just me.

Which 3 should I start at WR this week?

Antonio Bryant @ Buff
Mark Clayton @ SD
Michael Clayton @ Buff

Braylon Edwards @ Den
Steve Breaston @ Jac (perhaps still injured)

Anyone think palmer will get it together?

gonna try to get heap or crayton off the waivers. If i get heap, i can trade him. Crayton would replace anthony gonzalez. In a 14 team league, so probably will never be near the top of waiver priority.

Need P Riv and Chargers D to give me 26 points. It's gonna be close..

I needed that TD! Augh!

[Edited on September 14, 2009 at 11:11 PM. Reason : Gates was in!]

^^thats the inherent danger of the Ravens...Flacco looked like a great rookie QB, but is he going to pass for many TDs? Rice seems like the #1 back, but McGahee caught the short TD pass...they're still a 3 headed monster...great for Ravens fans, not for fantasy owners

I'd still hang on to Ray Rice...I think he'll be fine

NastyDawg, I'm not blaming you for it. I thought about it, almost went with Williams, but just didn't have the confidence in him. What killed me is having DeSean Jackson getting 3 points, Roddy White getting 4, and Slaton getting 2, while having Cadillac and Crayton on the bench. Now, my QB, McNabb is hurt. and the Patriots D didn't really show me much. Hopefully it's just a 1 week thing, but we'll see.

Who are the best Waiver Wire pickups at WR after the first week? Stuckey, Clayton, Laurent Robinson?

Pretty good article here on who to pick up based on solid week 1 performances and upside.

http://www.fftoolbox.com/football/article.cfm?article_id=463

In a nutshell, without listing reasons or sizes or leagues to warrant these pickups, those players are:

Joe Flacco
Jeff Garcia
Mike Bell
Michael Bush
Nate Burleson
Patrick Crayton
Pierre Garcon
Jeremy Shockey
Shane Graham (K)
Washington's Defense (vs. STL in week 2 for defensive streamers)

Hope this helps.

^^^^I would stay with those 3, even though two of them are on the same team.

Edwards looks like shit and did breaston get any meaningful time?

WHo should I pick up to back up McNabb and Schaub? Since both seem to be fucking hurt

J. Garcia
E. Manning
T. Edwards
J. Flacco

edit: hmm that article says flacco

^ thx, yea Breaston didn't play this past Sunday.

I'd go with Flacco probably..Garcia would only help you for a week or two until McNabb/Vick are in the picture. Eli/Trent would work too, I haven't checked their stats from Wk1, but Edwards has both Evans & Owens to throw to.

got a D/ST dilemma

Philly's D vs NO

or

Baltimore's D vs SD

My take at the moment is that I should start Philly's D since
1) they are a much better overall unit
2) I feel like they will get a couple of turnovers
3) ST unit is dangerous (see Jackson returning a punt)

that being said, I still feel torn about the decision

I'd run Baltimore

I'm not saying Brees is gonna throw 6 TDs on Philly's defense

But he's gonna throw like 4

^^ Baltimore... you know that NO is going to put up at least a decent amount of points.

Pick 3:
Chester Taylor @ Det
Fred Jackson vs. TB
Steve Slaton @ Ten
Devin Hester vs. Pit
Derrick Ward @ Buf
Ronnie Brown vs. Mia

We also get a few points for KR/PR so that ups Hester's value a bit.

I'm pretty sold on Fred Jackson, and I'm leaning towards Taylor and Hester... thoughts?

I'd go Fred Jackson, and also Hester, and Ronnie Brown vs. Indy

Whens the last time Indy's defense could stop the run

Thoughts on Ray Rice and Darren Sproles?

I may look to trade Rice if I am convinced Sproles will pan out.

^^ Yea, I'm just a bit worried about how active Williams was this week, and kind of hoping for some garbage minutes vs Det. but yea... I dunno about Taylor.

^ I think Sproles would be more consistently used then Rice as he is only splitting with one guy instead of two. Plus if you get points for KR/PR Sproles gets a boost.

might want to rethink the Sproles vs Rice thing.

Quote :
"LaDainian Tomlinson is already being listed as a game-time decision for this Sunday with a sprained ankle, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

L.T. won't practice tomorrow. With Darren Sproles piling up 246 all-purpose yards on Monday night, and Tomlinson again getting hurt, you have to wonder if a changing of the guard might be taking place at running back in San Diego."

Better over the course of the season, Trent Edwards or Mark Sanchez?

I actually am leaning Sanchez but Trent has some good WRs..

^^i'd say Heap

and who is your starting TE? if its somebody like Gates or Gonzalez, you might be able to more efficiently use a roster spot since you'd play a Gates or Gonzalez 16 out of 17 weeks

Kinda like if you have Drew Brees, you don't need a backup QB...just pick up one on Brees' bye week

^tough call...I kind of like Sanchez too

Yeah I'm considering trading Edwards for a RB like Benson to be my 3rd RB....a guy has big QB problems in one of my leagues. The only ones he can pick up are like Collins, Russell, Croyle, Stafford, and Bulger because we start 2.

^^Yeah well

the funniest shit is a few years ago, my buddy who is divorced was having to do all this shit with his fiance at the time so he knew he was going to miss the draft...but having the proper foresight, he decided to rank his top 200 players, so he would have SOME say over who his team drafted...but instead of adding his top 200 players to his draft list, he added them to his exclude list...THAT was some funny shit...kicker in the 3rd round, etc...his best player by far on his entire team was Culpepper...and that was with the Raiders after the injury

Ok, I have gonzalez and lance moore on my roster. I'm thinking about dropping them for some guy like crayton, earl bennett, the st louis rams guy, etc. Would you do this?

We play 2 receivers and my other is roddy white. I am holding on to a lot of young RBs with hopes that one will blow up later on (donald brown, mccoy, james davis), so I was reluctant to drop them, as well. This is a PPR league, so a lot more WRs are viable.

[Edited on September 15, 2009 at 11:42 PM. Reason : (i would use a waiver on crayton or todd heap, but not the others)]
