So whats the deal with buying season tickets if I'm not part of the Wolfpack Club? It looks like I have to go ahead and pay for them, even though I don't know where the seats are and I am not guaranteed to even get the tickets?
5/1/2009 4:16:34 PM
if you are not in the wolfpack club the seats will be in the stands in the north endzone.

I believe I speak for a lot of people when I say that football season just can't freakin' get here soon enough...Dear God PLEASE speed up the next 4 months!
5/6/2009 5:27:32 PM
the problem with the hype in that article is that i get excited by our team only to be let down (usually)
5/6/2009 5:41:15 PM
i am both excited and terrified by football season.
5/6/2009 5:51:38 PM
5/7/2009 12:06:28 PM
the assessment is nice of course, for us, and i kind of agree with it, but for the next four months, i think is controlling the excitement. We've sucked for a long time, do we finally have a coach that knows what to do when we're favored? we'll see. That's what exciting i guess. There's some high expectations, State SHOULD do something, but...man...HOWWWLLLL

Lol, anti-hope.I don't think TOB is much into anti hope. I think he has as much confidence as anyone else and expects to be the best. The difference is how you handle being the best. Cocky compared to confident kind of thing.

Harsh poll results at http://sports.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/poll/index?pCat=46&sCat=436 only 3% of voters think we'll win the ACC .
5/9/2009 1:41:22 PM
considering where that poll puts carolina... i'm not too concerned with the validity of that one

http://www.southernpigskin.com/index.php/site/southern_qb_rankings/Through the summer, members of the SouthernPigskin.com Staff will rank their top players at each position in the south. Up first, the quarterbacks.1. Tim Tebow, Florida – Entering his senior season, Tebow already has a Heisman Trophy and two national championships on his resume. He has scored 94 touchdowns the last two years. Tebow, who lead the top-ranked Florida Gators this fall, is the most recognizable player in all of college football.2. Jevan Snead, Ole Miss – There have been whispers of Snead possibly being the number one overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. In his first season as starter, he threw for 2,762 yards and 26 touchdowns. With his size and arm strength, he is the prototypical pocket passer.3. Russell Wilson, NC State – Wilson came out of nowhere last season to have an incredible freshman campaign. He threw for just under 2,000 yards, averaging 7.1 yards per pass attempts. Wilson threw 17 touchdowns compared to just one interception. He led the ACC in passing efficiency and added four rushing touchdowns.4. Thad Lewis, Duke – A bit underrated because of who he plays for, Lewis has thrown 36 passes touchdowns compared to just 16 interceptions the past two seasons. In 2007, he threw a career-high 21 touchdown passes; last season he completed 62% of his passes. Lewis is entering his fourth season as starter.5. Riley Skinner, Wake Forest – Skinner, who led his team to the 2006 ACC Championship, will go down in Demon Deacon lore. In 2007, he led all of college football with a 72.4% completion percentage. Last year, Skinner had nearly a two-to-one (13-7) touchdown-to-interception ratio#6 - TJ Yates...

The canes are really helping to shorten the gap until college pigskin (mentally at least!)

This has to be Riley Skinner's ninth year at Wake.

ESPN ACC BLOG, HD picked us #2 in the pre-season power rankings, below VT. I know it doesn't mean squat but i don't want a target painted on us, I would like to leave that for FSU, VT & UNC.

I'm friends with Ryan on myspace and we've exchanged a few messages. He seems like a nice guy and anxious to get to Raleigh. I remember he asked me about the tailgating situation one time before he came for his official visit, and I was able to provide him with plenty of information.
5/15/2009 1:59:21 PM
^^ What he said. If State is ever going to break the seemingly endless cycle of mediocrity, then it'll have to at some point win, win often, and win when they're supposed to. Seems like when State wins a few and gets favored... well, that's when we start losing again. It's time to start kicking ass regardless of whether we're "supposed to" or not.
5/15/2009 2:55:11 PM
^^Awesome. He sounds pumped to come to state. I like to hear kids that seem to think, "Wow, I'm lucky to be going to State," instead of, "Wow, NC State sure is lucky to have me."

Once Mario Williams graduates, which should be sometime soon according to him, do you think we should retire his number? When you look at the records that he holds it's easy to see why we would do so even though he was here only 3 years.Excerpt from Wolfpack Pigskin posting:
