90% a waste of an episode. The last 2-3 minutes was fantastic, though. So, here begs the question . . . Arthur isn't Sylar's father, but is Angela still his mother?

at least they can't depower anyone anymore.... although i was pretty much expecting arthur to heal since he took adams powers, guess the bullet didn't go all the way through his head (although it looked like they showed his head bleeding fromt he back ala an exit wound).

the episode ran a few minutes past 10 and the dvr didnt catch it, i saw everything up until the soldier stood up after the injection. I was wondering what power he had or what happened when they asked how he felt. and any previews that ran for next week.

The previews didn't show anything good imo.

so is the haitian's power selective now? I thought before he just gave out an aura that dampened all powers, but sylar just rushes in and kills him

Yeah I was always under the impression that the Haitian just has a dampening field around him. I guess Arthur weakened him.

And I'd think that Sylar would try and take his powers while he was able to.

btw, future Peter must encounter Hiro's mother at some point. She would heal things by kissing them... in the first few episodes of this season when Nathan was in the hospital, Peter went in and kissed him on the forehead, then he woke up from his coma instantly.

Even though Sylar was acting like a murderer and taking peoples powers again, I don't think he was doing it just for the fun of it. He killed Elle because she was trying to turn him into something hes not, and he killed the lie lady so he could figure out the truth.

I thought that at first but then the whole "I forgot how much fun this was" line and the part when he said "You aren't a murderer, Peter. I am." Sealed it.

Well for all we know Sylar decided that going after Suresh and limitless power was better then sticking around for the Haitian. Also, maybe after Papa Petrelli died the Haitian was able to reboot his power, maybe Sylar lost his again.

I figure the Hatian was weakened from focusing his "dampening field" power on Arthur so that when he finally broke Sylar could use his powers to stop the bullet, etc.

This has probably been discussed, but last night Heroes almost completed its conversion to a remake of The 4400. The marine who got the shot last night played Kyle Baldwin in The 4400 and also got the shot of "promycin," the drug in that show that gave people powers.

http://heroeswiki.com/Scott

The similarities and downright copies were there before, but now they've really made it obvious by casting him.

Not that I mind - I think this was one of the best eps of the season. I haven't wanted to see the next episode of the show so badly this season as I did last night. My DVR did the same shit at the end, though, so thanks for the info guys.

I did also wonder why Sylar didn't take the Haitian's power while he was in a weakened state, and I also wonder if Arthur is actually dead. If Claire and Sylar both "died" during the eclipse and then came back to life when it was over, one would think Arthur would regen once the Haitian runs out after Sylar. Then again, maybe they just wanted to get him out of the way so Nathan is now fully in charge of Primatech--so far they haven't shown much regard for following their own "rules"/mythology. And if he does indeed come back, is the catalyst just gone, since it seems to have "evaporated" out of his dead body? Or perhaps it will end up in Peter since he was in the room.

I also wonder about all this dicking around in the past--does the fact that claire goes back and meets her father right after they take custody of her not change his views in the present? Or are they following one of those "that's the way it happened anyway, so he already does remember it" lines of reasoning? Does she still have her healing power now that the catalyst went to Hiro and then Arthur, or is she just a normal girl now? (I'm hoping this will be answered in the next episode, I never watch the previews)

^^^ I don't think the catalyst gave Claire her powers. It has to be something different, Claire had her powers as a baby, thats how she survived the fire.

^^ I think Mama petrelli said that because she knew the Haitian would be there blocking his healing power.

Yeah at this point im very interested to see what the catalyst actually is. All we know so far is its a glowing light that only one person can have which apparently gives the ability to give the formula the ability to give powers.

I have a feeling now with Papa Petrelli dead and the catalyst not jumping to Peter there is going to be a limited amount of powers to give out.

in a past episode when future claire was trying to shoot future peter (still with powers, one being able to heal), she was also going for a bullet to the head to kill him. i think a bullet to the head is the only way a person with regen powers can die aside from them losing their power adam style. IMO, haitian was just there to block his other powers so he couldn't fight back.

arthur should stay dead as long as the bullet stays lodged in his brain.

don't you people remember the claire/rape incident???

it was in the back of her neck, not the front of her head

and so did zimmerman have access to claire when he was making tracy/nikki/jessica/8 other stupid characters with the same actress?

Yeah but if the bullet is in the right location (it could easily just hit the same point that "killed" Claire by entering through the front of the brain), it could still keep him dead as long as the bullet remains there. I'd think they'd decapitate him or something if they wanted to make sure he was dead.

The only semi-plausible explanation for a bullet to the head killing them would be if the bullet strikes the small piece at the back of the brain that Sylar takes when figuring out how someone's ability works. Maybe if that part gets destroyed, it destroys the ability and allows the person to actually die.

This show is trash. I hate shows where the writers are too stupid to figure out how to write plots that don't rely on the abject stupidity of their characters.

how can hiro be "stuck in the past," there should just be two of him, one who is 16 years older than the other, just like hiro went back in time to the funeral and buried adam, but he was still there in the present, show is starting to have too many holes, and I dont think we are nit-picking any more

There may be an older Hiro now, but since that happened with like 5 minutes left in the episode, it wasn't explored. It doesn't help that daphnie and parkman are dumb as bricks and wouldn't even think of that

did you notice that the moment that hiro's mother transferred the catalyst to hiro, she died?

maybe the fact that arthur transferred the catalyst to peter, caused him to die also, regardless of his power.

I saw Hiro's mom's power as healing through taking the sickness away. Although she takes the sickness away from someone/something, she then contains this sickness. This could be the reason she was dying. Maybe the catalyst was the "light" that was keeping her alive?
