drunkloaded, why do you think that gas would drop? You heard that too? Even with a gas tax increase? LOLmoron, how would a flat tax strengthen class warfare? Everyone would pay the same percentage of income as everyone else. Thus EVERYONE would have to pay for the increases in spending. Right now its far too easy for the masses to demand every program at the expense of the few. If they had to actually pay for it, they might think more about it.So mccain wants to make the taxcuts permanent. God forbid people get to keep more of thier own money. I guess we need obama since he has the ability to determine who "needs" their own money. A statement that should scare the hell out of those paying attention.

idk man call it wishful thinking....cant a man dream?...i dont even have a freaking car now anyways
3/10/2008 8:57:04 PM
you probably dont remember but Hillary and gang were saying vote for democrats in 2006 if you want cheap gas. They are so full of shit.Actually they want to raise the taxes on gas companies, so that will 100% RAISE the cost of gas. Economics must not be a class taken in law school. And hillary "taking those profits" to spend on research of alternate fuels sounds like a perfectly legal and moral thing to do.
3/10/2008 9:01:48 PM
well anyways i'm guessing the violence is gonna go up as we redeploy our troops...seems like its been going up more lately
3/10/2008 9:06:47 PM
My next door neighbor is really high in the marines. He goes to Afghanistan monthly. He says things are going really well. That the troops are finally getting it and are doing alot of things for themselves. Now they only have about 2 americans per 500 native soilders. He talks about how they have scaled things back, but the armed forces dont want it mentioned bc of a fear of insurgence picking back up.BTW, he is one of the most impressive people Ive ever met. I admire the hell out of him. He is built like a college linebacker, runs marthons, triatholons, and has received tons of medals for his services over the years. I dont know his rank, but I know he gets to come home every month and then they fly him back once a month for a couple weeks.

Consider me successful and more educated? Is it a jealously thing? I dont recall ever attacking you personally, so what is it?

I propose we just ignore eyedrb when he brings up anything about the economy unless that's actually what the thread is about.

Looks like Austan Goolsbee, Obama's senior economic adviser, is getting rolled under the bus after his remarks on Obama's trade policy. Last month, the New Republic portrayed Goolsbee as a driving force in Obama's policy shop. Attributing several of Obama's better ideas to him, such as the automatic tax return. You should read the whole thing, but here's an indicative paragraph.

electoral-vote.com has a neat chart up showing what the result would be if democrats did winner takes all. The result up until today: Clinton by ~200That being said I think winner takes all is a bad idea, much for the same reason I think having 2 parties instead of a dozen or so is undemocratic.

Joe, Ive never said anything knowingly false on these boards and I dont make shit up. She did say just that. There is even a video of it.Here is one of the quotes:Senator Hillary Clinton even saying this back on July 25, 2006: "Elect Democrats in November if you don't like these outrageous gas prices, if you feel that the oil companies have been given a free ride by the President and Vice President vote for Democrats".Care to guess what gas prices were in july of 2006, compared to now?Full of shit? Ill be anxiously awaiting your apology joe.

Why does anyone think that oil will ever drop appreciably?

PAID POLITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT BY SEN. BARACK OBAMA (D- ILL)My fellow Identity-Americans. As your future President, I want to thank mysupporters, for their... well, support. Your mindless support of me, despite my complete lack of any legislativeachievement, my pastor's relations with Louis Farrakhan and Libyan dictatorMoamar Quadafi, or my blatantly leftist voting record while I present myselfas some sort of bi-partisan agent of change. I also like how my supporters claim my youthful drug use and criminalbehavior somehow qualifies me for the Presidency after 8 years of claimingBush's youthful drinking disqualifies him. Your hypocrisy is a beacon ofhope shining over a sea of political posing. I would also like to thank the Kennedy's for coming out in support of me.There's a lot of glamour behind the Kennedy name, even though JFK startedthe Vietnam War, his brother Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King,Jr. and Teddy killed a teenage girl. And I'm not going anywhere near thecousins, both literally and figuratively. And I'd like to thank Oprah Winfrey for her support. Her love ofmeaningless empty platitudes will be the force that propels me to the WhiteHouse. Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience orachievement, but because I make people feel good. Voting for me causes somewhite folk to feel relieved of their imagined, racist guilt. I say things that sound meaningful, but don't really mean anything becauseAmericans are tired of things having meaning. If things have meaning, thenthat means you have to think about them.Americans are tired of thinking. It's time to shut down the brain, and open up the heart. So when you go to vote in the primaries, remember don't think, just do. And do it for me. Thank You. SOOOOOO TRUUUUUE!!!!!!

In Mississipi, 91% of blacks voted for Obama.I've heard of solidarity, but that's just ridiculous.[Edited on March 12, 2008 at 6:31 PM. Reason : 2]
3/12/2008 6:30:26 PM
Who else would they vote for? They had a choice between Barack Obama and Hillary ClintonHillary Clinton's camp has been pretty racist lately - what did you expect?
3/12/2008 6:51:46 PM
it seems most of mississippi is pretty racially divided. look at those exit polls. it's pretty staggering really.
3/12/2008 6:54:04 PM
^^You're a fucking idiot and your definition of racist is all fucked up.Geraldine Ferarro says that Obama's race is actually an advantage in the Democratic primaries and Bill Clinton compared Obama's campaign to Jesse Jackson's a while back so now "Hillary Clinton's camp has been pretty racist lately"? Am I missing anything? Or you honestly that easily offended by anything not portaying blacks as eternal victims?Nevermind, I already know the answer.[Edited on March 12, 2008 at 7:01 PM. Reason : 2]
3/12/2008 6:59:39 PM
Hillary has been racist???? How??????
3/12/2008 7:27:05 PM
^,^^ I'm not offended - I don't care whether you two fags agree with me or not. It's obvious that Hillary's camp conveniently comes out with something new every fucking week to accentuate the fact that Obama's the black candidate... whether it was the picture, farrakhan bullshit, smear e-mails, and members of her camp that said Obama wouldn't be where he is now if he wasn't black.I mean, Obama wouldn't be WHO he was if he wasn't black, so the statement was completely out of line anyway.
3/12/2008 7:40:35 PM
nice double negative
3/12/2008 7:43:41 PM
Nice. Hillary asks Obama to denounce a racist...AND THAT MAKES HER RACIST! Go Hope some more, terp.
3/12/2008 7:51:26 PM
HE ALREADY DENOUNCED HIM - she just tried to twist his wordsGo maintain your delusions more, fag
3/12/2008 7:52:59 PM
^ then you're accusing her of playing word games. Not being a racist.
3/12/2008 7:59:51 PM
She is playing words in an attempt to play off an animalistic fear of blacks.
3/12/2008 8:03:01 PM

3/12/2008 8:05:13 PM
I'm reading your mind right now. You are thinking about masturbating to pictures of John McCain fisting Hillary Clinton.
3/12/2008 8:12:17 PM
^ In other words, he got almost 2 "black votes" for ever 1 "white vote". Yah who would call that a racial divide. Spin is so fun. PS* I don't care who votes for Obama or their race. They're all likely policy novices that like Obama because they like the way he makes them feel. That's a dangerous way to vote. I prefer to get my emotional confirmation from my family and not my politicians.[Edited on March 12, 2008 at 8:28 PM. Reason : ``]

How does it feel to be better than everyone else?
3/12/2008 8:29:56 PM
Not everyone...just the people that vote for Obama. [Edited on March 12, 2008 at 8:32 PM. Reason : ]
3/12/2008 8:31:35 PM
^^^^Nice math.In reality, Obama got 28% of the white vote. Blacks make up 35% of the population in Mississippi but more than 50% of the voters were black. Obama won overwhelmingly because of one reason, more than 9 out of 10 blacks voted for him. The state is much more racially divided than North Carolina.[Edited on March 12, 2008 at 8:35 PM. You guys are fucking stupid.65 years of age and older: Clinton 56%, Obama 44%17-29 years of age: Obama 67%, Clinton 32%Here are some additional results shared by CBS News that did not make it into the column, among the roughly 9% of the Mississippi Democratic primary electorate that voted for Clinton but identify as Republicans (n=147): * 99% are white * 56% are female * 47% have a college degree * 65% report incomes of more than $50,000 a year; 17% report incomes of more than $100,000 a year * 68% describe themselves as conservative; only 8% describe themselves as liberalSome addtional substantive items for the same subgroup of Clinton Republicans: * 54% said Clinton would be more likely than Obama to beat McCain, 37% said Obama would be more likely to beat McCain * 67% rate the economy as the most important issue facing the country, 22% name the war in Iraq and 8% name the health care as most important issues * 38% said "has the right experience" was the candidate quality that mattered most when they voted, 20% said "has the best chance to win in November," 15% said "can bring about needed change" and 14% said "cares about people like me" * 61% thought Clinton attacked Obama unfairly; 55% thought Obama attacked Clinton unfairly. * 43% decided how they would vote in the last three days or the last week; 55% decided in the last month or before thatAnyway, who cares about Mississippi? Democrats won't win it.I challenge you guys to come up with some substantial topics related to this discussion and not the bullshit infighting that the republicans are loving. I'm assuming most of you are in college or are recent graduates, you should know that intelligent debate can be had without this abundance of stupidity.
3/12/2008 9:37:26 PM
^ You're wanting less bullshit and more substance, after you couldn't even name a single one of Obama's policies that you support, let alone defend that position with a reasonable argument?http://thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=515359Really there's nothing left but bullshit. I firmly believe that no one, not a single person supports Obama for his policy positions. And any that claim they do will not be able to defend those positions upon request. The only thing driving this campaign is bullshit. So that's what people talk about.[Edited on March 13, 2008 at 5:50 AM. Reason : ``]
