i was able to get all the goodies for the android thing. i talked to the droid and told him i'd kill the guy and his body guard, so he gave me his rifle...then i went to see him and told him the droid was alive to get the VATS upgrade...when the dialogue was over i killed him and his bodyguard and looted all their shitwin/win/win baby
11/5/2008 1:38:26 PM
Did you lose any Karma in that ordeal?
11/5/2008 1:40:20 PM
11/5/2008 1:40:53 PM
goalielax: this is exactly why i save every 5 minutes - haven't accomplished anything since then really so i'll go back and try out that scenario
11/5/2008 1:52:04 PM
where's the android mission?
11/5/2008 1:59:48 PM
Rivet City, in the lab.
11/5/2008 2:01:24 PM
yeah, i think i lost some karma when i told him where the android is, but like bous said, it's easy to get karma back...you can do the clean water, or you can give some scrap metal away for free to the dude at the plant in megaton. i steal/hack/pickpocket/lockpick just about everything i can and am still good karma because of the tricks you can use to upthe android is in rivet city, but i don't recall how it all started
11/5/2008 2:02:46 PM
I did not tell them were the Android was.
11/5/2008 2:04:28 PM
Picked up the Lincoln repeater. Dude, that thing makes my sniper rifle look like a bb gun.
11/5/2008 2:17:51 PM
Yeah, but you'll run out of .44 ammo very quickly.
11/5/2008 2:21:09 PM
Found a place that has a hidden sniper rifle that you can get right off the bat or anytime for extra ammo and repair fodderThat town above it is Megaton
11/5/2008 2:57:58 PM

They need to take some time to release the Construction Set. There are a ton of mods that I would love to see.[Edited on November 5, 2008 at 3:58 PM. Reason : Also, the ending sucks compared to the other Fallout endings.]
11/5/2008 3:53:53 PM
11/5/2008 4:09:25 PM
My shotgun broke when I was fighting 3 super mutants. I just went through a big hospital, I'm going to run out of stimpacks for a loooong time.
11/5/2008 4:18:53 PM
11/5/2008 4:26:07 PM
will you guys stop playing so much and let me catchup
11/5/2008 4:27:07 PM
1: Melee VATS (I don't know why this isn't already in). Why shouldn't I be able to punch someone in the face, or knock their weapon out of their hand with a baseball bat?2: Making skills and attributes "soft caps." So you can't normally increase them to more than 10 with any sort of levelling, but drugs and apparel bonuses would allow them to go higher than 10. I don't want to feel gimped when I roleplay a brute with 10 strength, since more than 8 str. is worthless after power armor.3: New weapons, specifically the Vindicator minigun and Gauss Rifle, and more energy weapons. But I would love to see many other weapons scattered about the wastes.4. Killable kids5. Throwing knives6. More powerful and less common Power Armor

This is one reason I wish my PC could run this game, is I feel I'm getting gipped on the free DLC/modding. I think the idea of free DLC would be a huge draw for a game, because that is so incredibly rare now it's sad
11/5/2008 4:40:57 PM
I have "regulators" coming after my ass at random times, for "all the evil I've been doing across the waisteland." haha
11/5/2008 5:33:43 PM
they come after you for being a dogooder as well...i have contract notes stating bothi'm disappointed by random encounters...i keep wanting to map somewhere and see the Dr. Who phone booth and other such shit (well, disappointed is a bit harsh for a game this good, but you get the point)[Edited on November 5, 2008 at 5:38 PM. Reason : .]
11/5/2008 5:38:06 PM
^ yea the random encounters in the other game were priceless... holy hand grenade.. nuka cola truck with like 10,000+ caps... alien ship.. sigh. ha. (don't get me wrong i'm loving this game too)
11/5/2008 6:05:56 PM
Heh, I accidentally triggered the Reilly's Rangers quest, where you rescue these dudes on a building and then their boss gives you money for every map point you find. 800 unexpected caps (and I haven't even explored very much), and their medic heals you for no cost.
11/6/2008 12:15:33 AM
Also, that combat armor they offer might be the best armor in the game.Almost as good protection as Power Armor, doesn't hurt your agility, and gives extra Action Points.
11/6/2008 1:02:17 AM
Lincoln's Repeating Rifle is the shit. combine that with sneak attacks and it's one-shotting most super mutants in the head
11/6/2008 2:59:18 AM
I was getting good karma throughout my game, but then I massacred everyone in Tenpenny Tower. Now I think I've maxed out bad karma. Oops. The loot was worth it.
11/6/2008 9:28:26 AM
^^^Yeah, I picked one off a dead ranger during the escape from the roof, it's fantastic. You can repair it pretty easily from all the Talon mercs you run into.Where do you get the repeating rifle?
11/6/2008 9:41:44 AM
what is full armor rating on that ranger combat gear? right now I maxed mine out at 28. I love it.
11/6/2008 9:44:29 AM
has anyone killed anybody that has given you good karma?
11/6/2008 10:47:57 AM
Yeah Tenpenny gives you good karma when you kill him, plus a sniper rifle and a snazzy red movie theater usher suitand Burke does too, I think
11/6/2008 10:51:08 AM
i really wanted to kill these guys in "The Family" who i thought were evil last nite but I killed one and lost karma - i can't wait to play through again and be evil

11/6/2008 11:46:59 AM
11/6/2008 11:54:56 AM
There's a Booblehead in the house of the old man on that bridge that said that they were evil.
11/6/2008 11:56:31 AM
I still dont know how to use the bobblehead that I have... its on my item list but when I click on it it doesnt do anything.... help?
11/6/2008 1:19:07 PM
once you have it it automatically increases your stats
11/6/2008 1:22:03 PM
The house you get in Megaton has a bobblehead collector's stand.V it's permanent[Edited on November 6, 2008 at 1:26 PM. Reason : ]
11/6/2008 1:23:44 PM
^^ does it stay on your item list? if I drop it does the increase go away?
11/6/2008 1:25:53 PM
i doesn't stay in your item list. i seriously doubt the stats go away
11/6/2008 1:27:02 PM
the problem with these kinds of games for me is that i usually like to do both good and evil things and end up being neutral the entire game :'(I'm walls1441 and i approved this message.
11/6/2008 1:31:22 PM
that's why you've got to really TRY to be as evil as possible.SHOOT FIRST. ASK QUESTIONS LATER. (and if it's a kid just keep shooting)
11/6/2008 1:37:29 PM
yeah i start out doing that but then i realize i have no idea what the plot of the game is, so i start asking questions and wind up neutral againI'm walls1441 and i approved this message.
11/6/2008 1:38:05 PM
11/6/2008 1:40:23 PM
^^ that's what the second play through is for ^ i think you just 'use' the bobblehead stand in your house[Edited on November 6, 2008 at 1:42 PM. Reason : .]
11/6/2008 1:42:31 PM
The Bobblehead benefits are instantaneously effective upon adding it to your inventory. After you collect the Bobblehead, the pop-up tells you that. The collector's stand at the crib in Megaton is just for show.
11/6/2008 1:48:04 PM
Can you ever get a house thats right near where you fast travel to ?I hate having to buzz the gate in tenpenny tower and take up the elevator to my roomI just wanna fast travel to my place, drop my loot off, sleep, then peace
11/6/2008 2:14:11 PM
the house in megaton takes like 5 seconsd to get to from the gatesoh.... yeah. nm.
11/6/2008 2:19:49 PM
that's what you get for being an evil fuck
11/6/2008 2:30:21 PM
At least I get a baller viewYou guys have fun in your shantys
