doesnt do too much good when you can only put 6 points up tho

Looks like a 4th straight L for Vick and the Falcons. Can't win games with a one dimensional offense.
11/26/2006 2:54:21 PM
vick = coach killer
11/26/2006 2:54:46 PM
9-23 84yds3.7YPAVICK IS A GOLDEN GOD!one of these days he might have more INT than completions if he has a bad day. (this isnt a bad day, this is just actual vick)[Edited on November 26, 2006 at 3:52 PM. Reason : ]

stats are for losers
11/26/2006 4:09:59 PM
well his stats this season dont lie, hes average at best
11/26/2006 4:12:26 PM
L's are for losers
11/26/2006 4:14:29 PM
but if his WR's didn't drop the ball he would have had over 50% completions seriously thou, white fucked him good on that one dropped pass
11/26/2006 4:19:28 PM
Good rushing day...inflated by that big run...but I don't like to use that line of thinking because its gay.Another horrible passing day. Which again, goes to show that he's AT BEST an AVERAGE QB...but in reality, probably a slightly below average QB. He should just try and run a lot more or maybe try a new position....or maybe somehow get better at throwing the ball.
11/26/2006 4:22:00 PM
^^ every quarterback's stats have those 'factors' in there. sure everyone including him gets srewed over by that sometimes, but thats not the reason for his continuously disappointing performances

do you have smileys disabled or do you not understand the "roll-eyes" is sarcasm?
11/26/2006 4:26:03 PM
ya i'm just reiterating
11/26/2006 4:27:00 PM
you did manage to leave out the fact that he had 166 rushing yards .... woweither way L's are for losers
11/26/2006 4:28:58 PM
^which did what for them?^^^ not everyone uses them for sarcasm, a lot people use them in disagreement
11/26/2006 4:39:13 PM
it's impressive either way. dont be Blind Hate
11/26/2006 4:39:57 PM
Why are people still impressed by him getting a lot of running yards? When he's as ineffective at passing the ball as he was today - something made worse by his left arm being possessed by Randy Johnson - it means nothing at all.
11/26/2006 6:31:16 PM
11/26/2006 6:57:22 PM
Mike Vick will never be a successful NFL QB. The falcons would have at least 2 or 3 more wins if they were starting Schaub.Good call on flipping off the fans too, that'll cost him a few dozen GR.
11/26/2006 7:36:43 PM
5 dropped passes beh, no excuse still though
11/26/2006 7:45:37 PM
^ that's only 1/3 of the incompletions - explain the other 10oh wait, they were all throw-aways to avoid the sack, Vick never threw a bad pass this entire game.
11/26/2006 7:49:21 PM
He was 9 of 24, that's not all on the receivers. These are the same receivers who caught 3 TDs just a few weeks ago. Most of Vick's throws either go sailing 5 yards off the mark or make it there on 3 bounces. Maybe he should look in the mirror before calling out his teammates. He should feel fucking guilty when he picks up his 1 million dollar paycheck for this week.
11/26/2006 7:50:08 PM
Running for 160+ yards in the NFL is still awesome, any way you slice it.
11/26/2006 7:50:21 PM
11/26/2006 7:52:16 PM
So is throwing for 500 yards, but ask Drew Brees how much that helped the Saints last week. Teams will let you get your stats if they know they can make your offense predictable and shut you down. That's exactly what happened this week. How stupid do the Falcons feel trading up to get Vick instead of taking Tomlinson?
11/26/2006 7:53:44 PM
No less stupid then the Giants I imagine. Interestingly enough if the Chargers thought they would have been able to sign Vick, he would have been a Charger. They only traded down because he was asking more then they could afford against the cap at that time.[Edited on November 26, 2006 at 7:55 PM. Reason : at least that is what I read last week..]
11/26/2006 7:55:09 PM
Playoffs???
11/26/2006 7:55:17 PM
I call shenanigans. I'm sure cap room had a lot to do with it, but I think they were probably more put off by the idea of taking a risky QB high in the draft after the Ryan Leaf debacle. I think they were going to play with a veteran QB that year anyway. I mean, they just booted Leaf from the team in 2000, no way they were drafting another 1st round QB in 2001.
11/26/2006 8:01:48 PM
11/26/2006 8:09:32 PM
^ goodness, someone else gets it... the most blatantly obvious advantage given to running QBs and yet the Vick nuts don't even seem to understand it. I guess its because they're too busy watching Vick to pay attention to the finer nuances like that.
11/26/2006 8:25:15 PM
they need to turn into western harnet and run the old notre dame box.they could average 300 rushing yards a game easy running the box.maybe even the wing T triple option !!I dont think the flex bone would cut it tho
11/26/2006 8:32:36 PM
Oh yeah...Vince Young is a better dual-threat QB than Vick. And he will ultimately have a MUCH BETTER career than Vick.Just wanted to add that. I'm sure we'll hear from rally when Vick is back in the Pro Bowl though.....
11/26/2006 11:27:55 PM
haha - Vick flipped off the crowd after the game today...it was one of the top stories on the local newshe apparently is a vengeful god
11/26/2006 11:47:35 PM
haha the new testament Vick
11/27/2006 12:36:08 AM
LT has a 152.1 career passer rating...thats pretty close to DOUBLE what Vick's is... maybe LT should start playing QB!
11/27/2006 9:38:41 AM
IF YOURE A QUARTERBACK RUSHING FOR 100-150 YARDS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THROWING FOR 350
11/27/2006 9:40:41 AM
skip on cold pizza just made the worlds worst arguement against vickARE YOU KIDDING ME ? they drop passes because there's no rhythm to the offense ? give me a break.
11/27/2006 10:19:39 AM
they drop passes for 2 reasons... first, because Vick sucks at throwing and when he actually does manage to get the ball to a catchable location for his receivers, it is coming so hard it is a difficult ball to catch, he only knows one speed for his throws, and that is as hard thrown as possible... the second reasons stems from that... his receivers don't get much practice getting catchable balls thrown to them, and when they do get a good one is is out of the rhythmn of the offense and pretty unexpected. I would wager that you could place the best receivers in the NFL on that team and their numbers would go down drastically... not just the obvious lower number of yards and catches, but a higher percentage of dropped balls as well
11/27/2006 10:33:08 AM
^I'm not a Vick fan, but that second argument is pretty fucking dumb. The first one I'll give some credit too...he does rifle the ball on some rather simple <10-yard passes. But that might only happen once or twice a game. His receivers probably drop more passes than any other team's receivers in the league...but its not enough for him to have the shitty passing stats he has.
11/27/2006 11:03:53 AM
claiming that Vick is a "Golden God" and totally ignoring all statistics and blaming all of his mistakes on his teammates is pretty fucking dumb
11/27/2006 11:21:28 AM
I do agree with that.

This Matt Schaub love affair is hilarious. He didn't win games when he played the past two years.
11/28/2006 1:48:46 AM
He played what, two games?Retool the Atlanta offense so it isn't so Vickified and I'll GUARANTEE you that Schaub has more success with the same guys than Vick has.Screw the individual game rushing record by a QB, it's already been debunked and proven to be bullshit. He couldn't throw on a Saints defense that made Ben Roethlisberger look like Dan Marino both before and after he stunk up the joint week in and week out.
11/28/2006 1:55:36 AM
yeah, you gotta admit he looked pretty damn good out there though. 127 yards rushing in the first half i mean wow.... he's just tough to stop. The only thing you gotta worry about is if he'll stay healthy and focused long enough to keep putting up these performances long enough to etch his place in the Hall of Fame. His elite athleticism carries him, so he can't afford to lose too many steps. Also, they've gotta get a better team around him because they're just wasting away his prime years...
11/28/2006 1:59:30 AM
Hall of Fame?My mouth and throat hurt too much to laugh as heartily as I want to.
11/28/2006 2:03:20 AM
haha i know its a bit of a stretch to think about the HoF so early. Anything could happen.Hell, he could get hit by a bus tomorrow and that would end the conversation. But Im just looking ahead to the future. Hypothetically lets say he adapts to the position with age like say Steve Young did.... you know maybe he loses a step or two and becomes a little less effective as a runner, but uses his wisdom and experience to make up for it... Rich Gannon and Randall Cunningham both experienced late success as an NFL QB who started out as a runner.Gannon was barely serviceable in the first half of his career and Cunningham wasnt quite as amazing as Vick was and he died for a 5 year period before re-emerging in Minnesota. So its really tough to compare Vick to those guys because none of them started out dominating the league right off the bat. If he keeps going at his current rate for another decade it would be impossible to keep him out of the HoF unless he never got to play on any good teams and wallowed around on perennial losers like archie manning
11/28/2006 2:13:44 AM
mike vick and hall of fame should never be used in the same sentenceever.
