9 runs scored, nicerush is a badass, we should pick him up
5/28/2006 4:06:14 PM
wow 7 homers on the day. Braves hittin their stride as usual.Cubs are horrible
5/28/2006 4:14:58 PM
EIGHTa record it is
5/28/2006 4:29:25 PM
why is Reitsma still our closer? Ray has been a hell of a lot better this year..We need to deal one of our 6 starters for a closer sometime soon IMO
5/28/2006 5:34:51 PM
we don't need to lose any starters but we do need to deal some minor league talent (saltalamcalclcica) for bullpen helpreitsma sucks, but OV is 7-0
5/28/2006 8:04:51 PM
Yeah OV is tied for 2nd in the NL in wins.. not a good sign for the starting pitching but yeah Pena looked pretty good today so i agree with trading (saltalamcalclcica)
5/28/2006 8:16:13 PM
saltonmycalcium
5/28/2006 8:20:38 PM
Reitsma = shitI say bring up a young guy from AAA or AA and give him a shot. That shit worked for the Brewers with Turnbow
5/28/2006 9:37:39 PM
I think we should just kill Rietsma. He doesn't deserve to play. How do you squander a 4 run lead even if you do inhereit 2 runners? The just plain fucking sucks.
5/28/2006 11:21:26 PM
oh and just for the record:
5/28/2006 11:21:52 PM
just turned it on...why's andruw not in the game?
5/29/2006 2:45:39 PM

5/29/2006 3:31:15 PM
http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/features/rumors?&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fmlb%2ffeatures%2frumorscan someone with insider post what the deal is with Hudson?
5/29/2006 7:38:44 PM
wtf
5/29/2006 7:42:05 PM
Expensive aceMay 26 - If the Braves fall out of contention in the NL East, Tim Hudson could become available, The New York Post reports. Hudson is due $33 million from 2007 to 2009 and $2 million more for the second half of this season. I saw his name mentioned as someone NYY might possibly be after if we fall out of contention for the playoffs.
5/29/2006 7:58:16 PM
Something else interesting... this is written about DontrelleFishing for a deal?May 26 - The Marlins are telling teams that Dontrelle Willis isn't available, but that is likely a ploy to drive the price up, The New York Post reports. If the Marlins shop Willis, his chances of landing with the Yankees are slim. They aren't going to part with Robinson Cano or Chien-Ming Wang, and one of them would have to head a package that includes top pitching prospect Philip Hughes and top hitting prospect Eric Duncan.Contenders with deep farm systems have the best shot at acquiring Willis. The Diamondbacks, Red Sox, Braves, Rangers, Dodgers, Angels, Blue Jays and Mets are expected to be interested.Willis, who has a $4.35 million contract this season, is the highest-paid player on a team with 13 rookies and a total payroll of $15 million -- but he wants to stay, the Palm Beach Post reports. "I'm happy here," said Willis. "That's no lie. ... This is the place that gave me my opportunity. No one else gave me an opportunity like this. This is a great group of guys." ...We could def. use a lefty in the rotation
5/29/2006 8:02:05 PM
so lookin at the stats for the Richmond Braves...There's a cat there, Stockman, has a 1.19 ERA and .75 WHIP in 22 inningsParonto was a closer for Richmond with a 1.02 ERA in 17 inningsAlso, Saltamahcnaihidcna is in AA right now, batting .204 in 46 games. don't think he'll be gettin traded anywhereand where the hell is devine? I can't find him on any rosters
5/29/2006 8:16:36 PM
Saltlskajflksadjflkasfoais;fj is considered one of the best catching prospects so Im pretty sure if we made a big trade i.e. Dontrelle, he'll be one of the ones we'll let go.. We do have McCann who is only 21 and Pena who is 24. I know im really late and must have missed something... but i just saw Davies was on the 60 day DL. What happened?
5/29/2006 8:21:51 PM
he hurt his leg a little while backhe was gettin roughed up too at the time, i thought he was fakin it to get out of the game
5/29/2006 8:23:49 PM
I think Salty will move to 1st base eventually and replace LaRoche, unless he keeps batting .204 in AA.Oh yeah, I'm sick of watching Thomson give up all these runs.
5/30/2006 1:26:02 AM
devine is at the headquarters of the braves getting his mechanics back right. he is hurt i think.
5/30/2006 9:46:20 AM
^^ Thomson's stats are actually pretty good. Until yesterday, his home ERA was 0.71 but shot up to 2.60 something because 5 of the 7 runs he gave up were earned. Anytime he starts the Braves shit the bed at the plate. He has certainly been a better pitcher this year than Sosa or Davies.
5/30/2006 10:40:52 AM
5/30/2006 12:52:11 PM
Saw this little blip on the Braves in an article on FoxSports today:
5/30/2006 4:47:52 PM
it would be nice to have a few lively arms on the big team too
5/30/2006 5:53:50 PM
We seriously need a strikeout pitcher. And a lefty. And a closer. Our pitching has some serious holes..
5/30/2006 6:05:45 PM
hahaha, i got this confused with the Men's baseball league thread and i thought i missed something major
5/30/2006 7:11:38 PM
bullpen is stinkin it up again
5/30/2006 10:05:20 PM
That new guy that pitched last night - Tyler Yates - shit the bed and then rolled around in it and then shit it again. God he sucked. Man the Braves have got some serious bullpen issues. I guess if they can stay in the race and the Tigers and White Sox push the Indians out of contention, then maybe they can trade for Big Bob Wickman. Otherwise I don't know who else reliable will be available.
5/31/2006 12:09:16 PM
this bullpen is fucking ridiculous.abonorio for atlanta braves relief pitcher
5/31/2006 12:44:28 PM
dayton moore is gonehttp://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/14707979.htm
5/31/2006 1:09:29 PM
The Braves always have bullpen problems. That's why they are the Braves. When was the last year the Braves bullpen was good from top to bottom?
5/31/2006 7:45:26 PM
no one in the history of baseball has had a bullpen that's good from top to bottomunfortunately the braves' is bad from top to bottomwe've had some good performances, but no one is consistent and that's the frustrating thinganywayshudson and co. are up 2-0 on the dodgers in the top of the 2nd now[Edited on May 31, 2006 at 7:57 PM. #13 for Andruw and only his 3rd at home this yaer.
5/31/2006 7:58:33 PM
i hate these retards doing the commentaryalso, i just noticed langerhans' intro music is ironmanI AM LANG-ER-HANS
5/31/2006 8:04:59 PM
Dont remember everyone that was on it but i know Wholers used to be the amazing before he went apeshit and couldnt even toss the ball straight
5/31/2006 9:13:01 PM
I'm not crazy about Bob Rathbun, but Jeff Torborg seems to know what he's talking about most of the time. I just hate that they are on both FOX South and Turner South.
5/31/2006 10:11:17 PM
who gave up the 2 runs in the 7th? Was it the bullpen or still Hudson?Ken ray pitched really well in the 9th. I hope he's our new closer.
5/31/2006 11:16:42 PM
6/1/2006 12:46:03 AM
Come on one of you Jones boys earn that paycheck, lets not waste Edgars leadoff double.
6/1/2006 8:33:12 PM
wtf edgar
6/1/2006 8:34:05 PM
fuckshit
6/1/2006 8:35:44 PM
adam loroche really pisses me off sometimesif he has a guy on first with less than 2 outs, you might as well get 2 outs on the board
6/1/2006 8:41:07 PM
that...that was beautiful
6/1/2006 9:36:25 PM
The Braves continue to lose games like last night which in the past were games we won. Instead of us throwing the ball over the 1B's head (gg Ramirez ), the opponents used to do shit like that and we'd win the 1 run game. Not this year though
6/2/2006 9:49:34 AM
wtf4 straight losses to the d-bagsthings aren't looking good
6/4/2006 5:50:50 PM
yeah this season isn't looking too bright right nowfirst time we got swept at home in a 4-game series since 1995...
6/4/2006 5:51:45 PM
well we did win the world series that yearprobably not the best stat to throw out there
6/4/2006 6:00:18 PM
they threw it out on the telecast
6/4/2006 6:19:06 PM
I know he pitched yesterday, but I still stand by my statement:
6/4/2006 6:37:37 PM
