Ok, heres a couple things I'm looking at this week. Any suggestions would be great. Sorry if something has already been addressed, I only skimmed through the last page of stuff.

1) Bears Defense or Carolina Defense? I am leaning toward Carolina b/c Bears play AT Det. and its Garcia, not Harrington.

2) Eli Manning or Chris Simms? Pretty sure I'm going to play it safe and go with Manning. I've got Hasselback, but he's on a bye. Anyone vs. SF Def. just looks really tempting though.

3) RB's: I am starting Steven Jackson. I need to start 2 more. I have Cadillac Williams and Tony Fisher. I also have Michael Pittman. I am considering starting both Williams and Pittman against that SanFran defense. Is that better than going with Fisher?

4) WR: Not a big one here. I'm pretty light at WR. I have Owens and Harrison, just no backups. Harrison on bye this week. I picked up Porter. Was also thinking about Dante Hall and even Welker as they both get a lot of return yards. Pretty much, my question on this would be, is Porter worth starting this week?

Thanks.

travis taylor (vs car) or brandon lloyd (vs ?)? im starting lloyd now (along with mushin muhammad and chad johnson) but i saw lloyd is listed as probable on sunday and the panthers secondary is suspect to big plays.

who should i start out of bettis, droughs and mcgahee? i only get two rb's.

Varsityblues,

here ya go:

1) Panthers D would be a good pick here. While Chicago has more picks and sacks for the year, the panthers will likely be leading big in this game and in all likelyhood will get at least a few sacks and Int's while the Vikings struggle to play catch up.

2) Definitely Manning. Im shocked that you actually are having trouble picking this one. Simms would be a pick for at most 15 points, but this is Simms first game, Cadillac will be coming back most likely, and it looks to be a game where all they do is run the ball in the 2nd half b/c of the blowout. Oh yeah, the giants have the highest ppg in the league, and its a home game i believe. Manning may throw a pick or 2, but if you throw for 300 and 3 TD's, most fantasy owners can live with that.

3) like above, depending on the status of Cadillac (be sure to check Yahoo fantasy page before kickoff) I'd go with Cadillac and Fisher. As strange as it sounds, Fisher is similar to Mewelde Moore in the sense that he will get a lot of receptions as well as rushing yards. Not to mention the fact that the Bengals can definitely get run on. I think its worth a start for fisher, hes the only back they have so he will be used early and often.

4) As for the recievers, its tough to say about Porter. I tried over and over to hold on to Porter this season, but i finally had to let him go a few weeks ago. I dont know how deep your league is and what you may have available at WR, but there may very well be better options out there. Let me know who else is still out there for the taking. But if you are forced to start Porter, there are probably worse options especially considering Moss isnt 100% and they are playing a terrible Titans secondary.

Hope this helps.

No Way.

McGahee and Droughns

Droughns will anihilate the Houston D-line. And the Pats D is all messed up.

Bettis is never even a guarantee to play.

who should i start at QB this weekend???
Daunte Culpepper
Marc Bulger
Eli Manning
i was leaning towards manning but he's playin a tough redskins team

lol, if you start Bulger, you deserve to die.

He's not playing. Culpepper is playing like ass and playing a tough D.

Manning is leading the best offense inthe league.

No, brainer.

BTW, you are stacked at QB. I'd be making some trade proposals if i were you.

Thanks Panthro. Yeah, I was pretty much planning on starting Manning, but with Plaxico a little banged up and going against Skins defense.
I have a pretty good team, very close to most total points in the league, and I'm 1-6. Its unbelievable and so frustrating. I played Culpepper the only week he did anything. I played Payton Manning on his first good week. Like 38 points for both of them. I just got done playing a team with both Brunell and S. Moss who destroyed the Niners.
4 teams have had their best week against me, and 2 of them have sucked almost every other week. The funny thing is that I'm not completely out of it, b/c my division is so bad. But its still a longshot. I could easily be at least 4-3 and cruising in that div. I scored 151 one week and the guy with Payton scored 165. He has sucked most all other weeks.
Anyway, enough of the pity party.

I appreciate the advice and will take it. Let me check to see any available WR's. Dante Hall might actually be a good start b/c I think he's starting plus the kick returns.

I think I'm going with Dante Hall. Rec. yds, Ret. yards, might get a TD one way or the other. Prob. my best option. Thanks again.

OKay im playing a team who is 7-0 and i HAVE to get this win to get myself into the playoffs... lucily his team isn't that good (i have 3 less points than him and im 3-4) he's just been lucky as crap with his opponents every week...

THe scenario is very important so let me lay things out.

he's starting eli manning, chester taylor, chris brown, tony fisher, chad johnson, donald driver, jeremy shockey, bucs D, and jason elam.

So as you can see, i probably dont need a miraculous week to beat him...

Given that which 3 RB of the following (opponents, status in parentheses) would you start:

Lamont Jordan (TN), Corey Dillon (Buf, questionable), Cadillac (San Fran, questionable), Mewelde Moore (Car), Domanick Davis (Cleve), Willie Parker (Balt w/ Ray Lewis likely out)

any thoughts on 2 WR b/t Mike Williams, Antonio Chatman, and Deion Branch?

PLEASE. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.

GO WITH JORDAN AND D. DAVIS.

THEY ARE BOTH GOING TO HAVE MONSTER GAMES.

Chatman and Branch at WR.

Quote :
"but Chatman b/c GB doesnt have a RB, they will be playing from behind, and Chatman has scored in 3 of the last 4 games""

and Branch b/c Dillon may not play and the Pats will have to pass quite a bit due to the Broncos Rush Defense being so good.

Trust me on this. I am the Fantasy Guru.

^ yeah i have those two in right now, but what about my #3 RB? thats my real question mark....

i had Williams over Branch just cause he's the #1 guy this week for Det.... Branch scares me cause they spread the ball so much in NE

culp.

car's secondary is banged up enough that he should have some success...

this is more of a vote against McNair who probably shouldnt be playing this week... no sense risking a start on a guy who might not make it out of the first quarter

Play Willie Parker.

He's guaranteed to have 100+ yards simply because they are gonna lead the majority of the game and run the ball 40+ times. Cowher has shown over the last 3 weeks that Parker is gonna get his touches.

^ thats who ive got at #3 right now, thanks

just seeing if i was crazy...

im just too nervous to start Cadillac in fear of them jumping ahead early and going with pittman the rest of the game...

dillon makes no sense to me either, and mewelde moore just seems like im throwing my hands up in the air and saying fuck it.

im still sticking with mike williams and chatman though i think

Even though they will try to start with the run, and they are playing a tough Jax D, they will have to throw and when they do, Curtis is thier best option."

I got Favred today. There goes my undefeated season...

I mean, I figured that he would struggle against an opportunistic Bengals D, but I didn't expect 5 interceptions. I also benched Gonzalez for Heath Miller, and thats likely to backfire on me since Gonzo had a great game.

I also had Steve Smith, Stephen Davis, Mike Anderson and Antonio Chatman, so I still have a chance heading into MNF. I need Willie Parker and Heath Miller to have big games.

FUCK....I'm down 12 points to this guy.

I need Pittsburgh to get at least 34 points on Balitmore so his team will lose 4 points.

then i need my DB, Polamalu, to get 8 points somehow.

Longshot , i know.......but i can only hope.

P.S. Just out of curiosity, did anyone happen to use anyof the advice i gave for these games??? I know i didnt get all of my predictions right, but for the most part i think the advice was ok.
