by coming in cold, i'm talkin about the fact that other coaches have been evaluating and contacting these kids for years and he had to play catch up in that respect. his nba connections have helped out a lot, but he's still had to make up a lot of ground in the first years. i think you get where i'm coming from though.[Edited on June 11, 2009 at 8:26 PM. I dont have a premium rivals membership, so I couldnt read that article, but how likely do you think it is we offer Richardson? What'd he think of the uv?
6/12/2009 7:54:55 AM
Javi played very well for us at the end of last season. I don't see how anyone can deny that.My only concern is that he got better at the end of the previous season as well, then came into last year looking completely lost. Granted, there were some extenuating circumstances there, but still it's something that needs to be watched for.
6/12/2009 11:14:50 AM
Statistically he had a couple of good games early on. I really think he will be much better in a more up-tempo offense. He seemed to like to push the tempo a lot more than our other guards did.
6/12/2009 12:51:07 PM
farnold likes to push the offense just fine, problem is he's terrible at it.
6/12/2009 1:31:15 PM
I have hope for farnold this year
6/12/2009 1:34:45 PM
Why would Farnold even see the floor?
6/12/2009 1:48:36 PM
even when javi is going "good" he is still a massive TO threat that is a complete drain on our offense. look at that kenpom link...37% of his possesions end in turnovers. That is unacceptable. Look at all the other PGs in the ACC, theyre in the mid 20s. Again, he looks good in comparison to garbage like Farnold. That doesnt mean he's good
6/12/2009 1:48:43 PM
Once again, if you would have watched, a ton of his TO's are from other people screwing up. He can still be careless -- he was bordering on showboating early on in the year -- but he progressively got better about this.
6/12/2009 1:52:00 PM
yeah man i have hope for farnold this year too. i HOPE that he doesn't play a single minute.
6/12/2009 1:56:31 PM
6/12/2009 2:00:13 PM
i wouldnt say a "ton." maybe like 1 TO a game was due to stupid shit like Ben being a pussy and never wanting to break for a wide open jam (bc his slow ass wouldve still found a way to get blocked probably) but way more of them were him getting pick pocketed in the backcourt or making dumbass passes into the 2nd row
6/12/2009 2:31:03 PM
Lorenzo started summer school today
6/12/2009 5:25:48 PM
on a friday ?
6/12/2009 5:33:25 PM
Summer school probably starts as quickly after the end of the school year as possible.
6/12/2009 5:39:30 PM
^^^sweet
6/12/2009 5:44:07 PM
fuck, I just realized that gunzz meant high school summer school not summer session at State. Dammit, I hope Brown can catch up quickly when he gets to Raleigh. [Edited on June 12, 2009 at 6:26 PM. Reason : .]
6/12/2009 6:24:53 PM
Awesome news on Brown if true! I'm glad he got his issue straightened out.
6/12/2009 7:27:53 PM
you people realize he means HIGH SCHOOL summer school right? That means Brown won't be on campus until the Fall semester, it's not a good thing.
6/12/2009 7:30:20 PM
rather him be here in the fall than not at all
6/12/2009 7:44:41 PM
^true, but obviously it would be better for him to get here during the summer...I just don't see how you could view him having to take summer school to qualify as a good thing.
6/12/2009 7:55:27 PM
that means that he still has a chance to qualify. if he had to go to prep school, he wouldn't bother with high school summer school.he's not missing any practices, he can work out on his own, and if he takes care of school work, he'll be here in August. that's why i think it's a good thing.
6/12/2009 8:03:31 PM
6/12/2009 8:48:20 PM
yeah you're right.fire sidney!
6/12/2009 9:25:50 PM
^ that's almost too dumb to respond to, who the fuck said anything about firing Sid? All I'm saying is that acting like it's great that Brown has to take summer school to qualify is ridiculous.[Edited on June 12, 2009 at 10:04 PM. Reason : .]

It's been pretty widely known since at least page 125.
6/12/2009 10:23:20 PM
well fuck me glass is half full i guess

6/12/2009 11:05:08 PM
6/13/2009 2:23:50 AM
i have been trying to tell yall for years that he might not qualify............. Just get him an online class like unc always does, it seems to work for them every time.
6/13/2009 8:36:43 AM
6/13/2009 5:57:33 PM
it's a pretty big deal, actually. assuming that he is here in the fall, we're going to need him badly. missing summer workouts and pickup games is really not good.
6/13/2009 6:00:55 PM
yeah, it kinda sucks he's gonna only have a month and a half of practice before the season starts
6/13/2009 8:58:42 PM
i'm sure he will keep up on his game... get the playbook, and learn the offense... I mean, yea its a deal, but damn, its a hell of a lot better than if he wasnt eligible this year
6/14/2009 9:38:13 AM
yeah, but you can't say it's not a big deal at all. especially considering that we need Brown to be ready as a freshman if we're going to be any good.
6/14/2009 9:46:15 AM
When does practice officially start anyways?
6/14/2009 11:01:56 AM
October 16, 7PM
6/14/2009 1:39:32 PM
Happy birthday to me mothafucka

rivals reporting that cj leslie and his mom took an unofficial visit to...arizona state.LOLOLOL
6/15/2009 1:08:55 AM
running in circles shows off your athleticism and your ability to tolerate menial bullshit
6/15/2009 1:15:10 AM
^^ That's a long way to travel for an unofficial. Don't players have to pay for those themselves? Was he out there for a tournament or something?
6/15/2009 1:24:54 AM
lol i don't think so. he is very serious about arizona state.
6/15/2009 1:27:26 AM
fuck it. let them have Leslie, another underachieving post player can go choke in the postseason and have an unremarkable NBA career as far as I'm concerned. I hate ASU more than many of you can imagine, and it won't be long until Sean Miller makes everyone forget about the scum devils and their "resurgence".[Edited on June 15, 2009 at 1:53 AM. Reason : first Peter Thomas and now this?]
6/15/2009 1:51:18 AM
^^ Wow. That would be such of waste if he were to go out there. Wonder what Herb is using to sell him on ASU...[Edited on June 15, 2009 at 1:51 AM. Reason : adsf]
6/15/2009 1:51:34 AM
^probably the hot, vacuous bitches and their lack of academic standards (92% acceptance rate).

^ winner. solely for the use of "vacuous"

I'll hold my "Oh fuck!" til further information is available. Hopefully he just got a bad bruise from knocking knees and will be good as new in a couple weeks.
