My friend accidentally placed a burning hot frying pan on his iphone and shattered the screen.it still works perfectly

This is kinda a funny story...When I was skiing last week at Jackson Hole, WY, I was on an intermediate, and noticed something black and rectagular on the slope traveling past me faster than I was going. I caught up to it, and recognized it was my iphone that came out of my pocket that had been unzipped accidentally. It went a long way down the hill. I cant believe how lucky I am that it came out on a groomed surface, and made it down the hill faster so that I actually could retrieve it.At first, the speaker didnt work, but after it dried out, everything was fine...[Edited on February 8, 2010 at 10:50 AM. ^hahahahaha....thats hilarious and super lucky. I'm always paranoid about the same thing but I keep my phone in a zipper pocket so its sort of safe lol.
2/8/2010 12:13:53 PM
It was the damned photographers fault it came out. We got off the lift and there was a photographer giving group shots. My lift ticket was attached to the pocket that my iphone was in. He unzipped the pocket to stuff in the lift ticket, and I forgot to zip it back up.It took until that night for the iphone to function again completely. I was pretty pissed until that point.

Dropping my iphone is always a huge adrenaline rush because its the most expensive thing I am carrying most of the time.

This is retarded:Apple Begins Banning iPhone Hackers From iTuneshttp://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=17693
2/16/2010 10:45:24 AM
Whys that retarded? A company is banning people who hack their product...its been done before. If you are going to hack you are going to have to accept some risks.
2/16/2010 5:28:55 PM
Because of the two banned people, Apple hasn't really proven that one of them did anything wrong. They can prove he bragged about being able to do something, but if you banned everyone from iTunes who had bragged on the internet, you'd have a userbase of 5 people. There's also the question of how they could justify denying someone access to content they've purchased through iTunes because of what he did with his iPhone.

does not sound like a threat to jailbreakers

There's the people who don't hack it for pirated material. I don't necessarily think they should be penalized.

That is definitely one of the dumber things I've seen you say. And the list of dumb things you've said is pretty extensive.

Generally people aren't advocating "piracy" as much as they are advocating the right to do as they will with hardware they've purchased.

Technically speaking, of course Apple can do whatever they want to the "bad people". My point was that from a business standpoint, my money spends just as well as the people that are too scared by the big bad corporation to cross over to the dark side and jailbreak. And yes, I do spend plenty of money. None of that explains why Gloveco seems to think that just because I decided to jailbreak, my opinion isn't worth as much as the next iPhone owner. Hell, I could make an argument that it's worth more, in a discussion such as this.

Looking for a multi-use bluetooth headphone/mic for my iphone (workouts and casual use). I also want to use it for my macbook and PS3. This is the best option I have so far. http://www.amazon.com/JayBird-JB-200-01-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset/dp/B001DDPN9GAnyone used Jaybird before? Any suggestions?
2/17/2010 7:02:08 AM
^^So first you say my opinion is worthless because I've hacked my phone, and now you're saying it's just because I call you out for stupid things you say? Backpedal much?[Edited on February 17, 2010 at 8:07 AM. Reason : I've provided FAAAAAAAR more actual content to this thread then you ever have or ever will.]

^yeah. The buttons on the Jaybird are smaller and rubberized than the motorola version and the fit is said to be better.

Downloaded the Meebo app today. Its been out for a few weeks now. By far my favorite chat app.Pros:The UI is very clean and responsiveIts freeIt supports landscape mode while still being FREESupports all the protocols Meebo.com supports.Cons:Can't customize the sound notifications

I'll have to check it out. Wonder if it's better than Beejive.

I haven't been keeping up with the rumors but did Microsoft make an official announcement? I remember reading that there was some announcement coming soon. If thats really the MS Windows Phone thats a pretty sweet UI. I'm sure its even more slick with the animated transitions etc.And I like what appears to be a larger screen than the iPhone...unless its just image distortion.[Edited on February 17, 2010 at 8:19 PM. Yeah dude, it was announced Monday, with more information coming in March. There's this thread on it ( /message_topic.aspx?topic=588278 ) and then a bunch of links on the page that gs7 linked to.

Video chat and Front facing camera a possibility in future iProduct devices...?http://idek.net/14xi
2/21/2010 1:30:30 PM
we've seen that before. i'll believe it when jobs says it
2/21/2010 1:57:25 PM
yeah that's one thing i was really hoping they would do on the 3gs..but who knows.
2/21/2010 2:34:09 PM
Also, I'm not sure why this would be in 3.2. Its obvious the iPad won't have a front facing camera because they just announced it and 3.2 will be on the first shipped iPads. If the next gen iPhone will have a front facing camera it will also probably have OS 4.0...so why include it in 3.2 when there is no hardware to support it?
2/21/2010 2:38:54 PM
double the price. half the features.
