Blowing hard at UNC right now. They blew the sirens apparently because of ^ above. It got windy and has thundered like twice, but no need to set off the alarm in my opinion.

I think a student was killed on their campus recently by some freak straight line winds like what they are forecasting today.

^Yea in front of one of the sorority houses on Franklin Street. I seriously think they fucked up, because they usually only set off Alert Carolina for a tornado warning. Maybe that changed after that girl died though.

Quick storms turn my yard into a mudhole ever since they ran a trencher right across the middle of it to install a new water line a couple months ago. It reminds me that I have some major landscaping projects to do this fall.

Somebody died over here in Chapel Hill. Roper Lane is right next to where my bosses kids go to school and also right behind his house. Don't think he would be driving down that cul-de-sac, but hits pretty close to home with multiple coworkers living in that neighborhood.

We had a tree come down in the wind, it landed on our trashcan so I woke up to cleaning up trash that had blown down the street. No one got killed though.
