idk, after I looked at the dress i vote something a little more simple just because the dress is pretty detailed. Something that picks up on that dark blue under color [Edited on March 9, 2010 at 9:46 AM. Reason : ada]

^^ The sequined shoes are great! So Vegas!^ I like those as well. Very suede-y. I REALLY like them. They'd be very versatile.

these are less than 20$ if you wear a 6 or a 9
3/9/2010 9:51:47 AM
Darnit! I'm an 8.5!I really like the second pair. But I need to be able to dance in them. Does Calvin Klein make a comfy heel? Or should I shell out a bit more dough for something that will feel better on my feet?

^ The first pair is cute!
3/9/2010 9:56:04 AM
its a wedding, whatever you buy make sure you can stand to stand in them. Not to mention shoes you can wear again and again, its not worth it to buy a pair you can't or wont walk in(says the girl who spent most of saturday thinking she was going to crash to her death in these)

brainysmurf was looking for these a couple pages back. I think they sell them at Carolina Pottery in the Smithfield outlet mall.

I just realized those are over $400. Perhaps I'll keep looking.
3/9/2010 10:56:19 AM

I put together two different concepts of looks I'm thinking about for the dress. I worked on one w/yellow shoes, but couldn't make it gel. I kind of dig the peacock look.
3/9/2010 3:43:46 PM
want so bad
3/9/2010 4:01:15 PM
ew, why?those are a snakeskin version of grandma shoes]

Sometimes I want to hate on shoes, but then I'll find out that they're super expensive NYC dope shit.....and i'm like...."oh yeah, i'm from NC, what do I know about fashion?"...I do still wear my clark wallabees.
3/9/2010 10:44:48 PM
^ I think a lot of "fashionable" stuff is It just depends on what you think looks good on you. Thats what I think fashion is.
3/9/2010 10:58:31 PM
I would buy nude color shoes....they are going to be in fashion this fall so you can wear it for months!
3/10/2010 8:22:23 AM
i have shoes just like this. size 8.5. i'm looking to get rid of them. only wore them maybe twice. let me know if you're interested.....otherwise they're going to Goodwill.
3/10/2010 8:44:48 AM
Okay, this is CUTE! I love these shoes.
3/10/2010 9:35:40 AM
awww i <3 this french connection dress on sale at ruelala but my size is gonebut it also weirds me out that the size 12 is also sold out. i just feel like if you are a size 12 a "cheeky" dress maybe isn't for you (unless you are all muscle then goooo for it i guess). but who knows.[Edited on March 10, 2010 at 3:26 PM. Reason : .]
3/10/2010 3:26:17 PM
OR you ordered a size 12 to have it tailored down to fit your shapeAND looking at their sizing chart a 12 is a M, 35.5'' bust, 29'' waist, 39'' hip
3/10/2010 3:33:42 PM
^ That sounds like a small bust for a size 12.
3/10/2010 3:34:49 PM
^^ahhh good pointyea the clothes are usually a lot tinier than usual sizes. and i didn't think about the tailoring thing (mostly because i'm too lazy to ever do that haha).[Edited on March 10, 2010 at 3:35 PM. Reason : .]
3/10/2010 3:34:54 PM
well i didn't pull it out of thin airhttp://www.frenchconnection.com/content/help/sizing.htmsome companies still use the WWII sizing chart, just like wedding dress designers. my dress was a size 12, but i wear an 8 when i go to Express/Banana/Gap/Target/etc.
3/10/2010 3:36:35 PM
what kind of shampoo should i get that will make my hair stay straight instead of wavy now that it's longer?
3/10/2010 3:38:14 PM
3/10/2010 3:45:49 PM
^Um, yes
3/10/2010 3:51:13 PM
3/10/2010 3:55:47 PM
i said unless you are like muscle and tonedand disclaimer: i wouldn't even wear that dress cause it would look bad on me (i am not toned nor a size 12 - though maybe in french connection i would be)but as LK already pointed out - the sizes for that brand are TINY.[Edited on March 10, 2010 at 3:58 PM. Reason : well i would wear it cause i like it but i couldn't pull it off. difference.]
3/10/2010 3:57:46 PM
ive seen true lemon true lime mentioned in a thread beforei know where to find true lemon and true orangebut i cant find true lime anywhere...........do any of you ladies use it?
3/10/2010 4:15:37 PM
I think I've only seen True Lemon in storesbut you can check here http://www.truelemon.com/purchase.cfmand then call one of the grocery stores listed and ask if they have the True Lime in stock.
3/10/2010 4:20:02 PM
where have you looked? i've always been able to find it at harris teeter or lowe's foods (if you haven't tried lowe's yet - look there).in other news - did not know true orange existed! will have to try.(also some stores put it in different places. sometimes its near the splenda but other times it is near the crystal light which is sometimes near the splenda or sometimes near the gatorade/juice aisle)[Edited on March 10, 2010 at 4:22 PM. 3/10/2010 4:21:58 PM
ive never found the lime in any Harris Teeter not sure if ive looked in lowes yet.... hmm
3/10/2010 4:29:58 PM
well, they arent as cute as stilettos but since i wear 12WW and am very, very heavy, they are better than the rest of the grandma shoes i have to choose from. i can only wear a 1.5-2" heel at the very most. i got true lime at walmart[Edited on March 10, 2010 at 4:43 PM. Reason : ]
3/10/2010 4:39:25 PM
^ what about looking at danskos? they have animal print shoes and are supportive and look less grandma-y
3/10/2010 4:48:09 PM
they dont come in anything but their standard width, and they dont make one long enough for my foot either
3/11/2010 1:25:48 AM
oh dag. i didn't know that. so you are 12W or WW? what is WW. extra wide? i'm guessing it is def hard to find cause i did some quick googling and could only find most things in just reg 12Where are some clark's that come in 12WW, but def a little more casual than what i think you are going for (based on the other pic)[Edited on March 11, 2010 at 1:36 AM.
