thats what colleges in tennessee do, they get ncaa violations

Stop being a dumbass troll. When is the last time UT was put on any NCAA probation or sanctions?
5/28/2009 11:09:16 AM
he didn't use the word probation or sanction. but Lane Kiffin has comitted at least 5 violations since december at UT.

They sunk the USS Vandenberg off of Key West to create a new reef. One more scholarship open...
5/28/2009 12:55:47 PM
^ what?Everyone wants to point out the little secondary violations that Kiffin and UT has committed, but almost all programs have these kind of violations every year. Heck the OU program had 40 of them last year alone, yet you didn't hear anything about them. Right now the media is just jumping on the "let's bash Kiffin and follow every move that he makes" bandwagon, trying to make him look bad. He's done some stupid things recently, but who cares as long as he can win and do it cleanly, well by today's standards. Heck Spurrier tried to call out Kiffin for calling a recruit on his first day on the job, b/c he thought he committed an NCAA violation b/c coaches that haven't taken the test can't have contact with recruits, but Kiffin had already taken the test on-line and passed it before he got to Tennessee. It made for an interesting exchange at the SEC spring media gala or whatever they've recently held.

Nice two page argument about WPH.Here is my take:I don't go there for factual information. I go there for highlight videos and optimistic opinions. If I went there and took things as facts we should be collecting our rightful national championship trophy in about 10 months. They are a fanboy site to me.Useful for videos and such... not so much for facts.^ Kiffin is a total douche and I wish nothing but failure on him.[Edited on May 28, 2009 at 1:32 PM. Reason : x]

^^It's a joke.http://ussvandenberg.com/

^^ He may be a douche, I've never met him, but the media is blowing some of this stuff out of proportion.[Edited on May 28, 2009 at 1:49 PM. Reason : ]

It is the slow season for sports news. As for WPH or Pack Pride, I'll take all the info I can get no matter what the source may be.

when you've never coached a college football game in your life (as head coach) and you decide to call out the defending champion Florida Gators, you deserve whatever you get

first video is dirrrrty
5/28/2009 8:20:44 PM
he's dirrrrrty in both videos

How does a guy that is 5'11, 155 dunk like that?
5/28/2009 9:00:28 PM
He's 155, so he doesn't have a lot of weight holding him down. There were always several black guys in middle school with similar size who could dunk.I expect his hops to go down soph year as he puts on that weight.
5/28/2009 9:02:44 PM
Isn't he 6'0-6'1 nowadays?
5/28/2009 9:23:01 PM
he's 6'1" just like how javi is.
5/28/2009 9:32:21 PM
^ he didn't seem that tall to me at the TOC but who knows.
5/28/2009 10:03:44 PM
^I'm not sure but I think that remark was sarcastic...Javi is 5'11" on a good day
5/29/2009 12:39:01 AM
that comment was indeed facetious

Found this wall video linked from a harrow video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4CbQGBbUOwIf ryan's videos are a showcase of extreme skill, wall's are a showcase of monstrous athleticism. Going to be fun to watch him play in the future, for sure.

great video on wph of one of their guys playing will barton one-on-one. the stakes were if barton lost, he had to commit to state.
5/31/2009 12:59:06 PM
Really wish they had won that game by some miracle, haha.
5/31/2009 1:14:54 PM
^Should have just fired up a fadeaway shot right at the start, probably a better chance lol
5/31/2009 2:28:01 PM
barton's highlights on youtube are impressive to say the leastdude reminds of jules with more talenthopefully the NCAA fucks Kentucky up before he commits to them
5/31/2009 3:05:55 PM
^^he said that he tried to shoot over him before the camera was shooting and barton threw his shit into the next court "Im the bus driver, Im about to take you to school....faaaaadah!" style

Not to read too much into it, but it's cool that he was willing to throw down that bet even as a joke. Doubt he would do that for a school he wasn't at least modestly interested in...Wow I never thought I'd follow recruiting this much. The late spring, early summer sports drought is in full swing... and it freakin' sucks
5/31/2009 4:14:49 PM
Yeah I'm glad to see he was having fun with it, but even if he did stick to the bet and commit, nothing would stop him from decommiting moments later, haha.

so what is that post by gravis on the premium board about Lorenzo Brown about? nothing bad, is it?
6/1/2009 3:28:04 PM
god i hope not
6/1/2009 3:35:27 PM
he's got a teacher that is being a dick about letting him make-up classwork he missed from playing basketball. It may result in him not being here until the fall semester starts as he would have to take a 1/2 credit class in summer school or some shit.
6/1/2009 3:36:04 PM
The teacher is no doubt a Carolina fan with a degree from Appalachian.
6/1/2009 3:38:16 PM
that sounds like some bullshit
6/1/2009 3:41:06 PM
That's one thing that pisses me off. I mean come on a lot of these teachers claim to want the best for their students and their education, yet this dick is going on a power trip b/c Lorenzo was busy with his commitment to the basketball team. He's obviously shown a desire to make it up in order for him to get his college course work started early so that he can graduate on time. Student athletes don't usually take as many classes as normal students b/c of the amount of time they have to put into their sport. I think the full-time requirement of 12 credit hours for normal students is actually lower for student athletes. IIRC, they can take only 8 credit hours if needed, of course most take more than that.
6/1/2009 3:47:36 PM
That is one of the issues he brought up. Apparently this school that Lorenzo attends, has had other issues with this and it's leading a lot of the high-profile players in that area to change schools. I think he's getting a bad deal from the teacher here in not letting him make up his work, but hopefully the appeal goes through or he gets to take a summer session at the school and get up here in the Fall.
6/1/2009 4:01:16 PM
^^they also get "free hours" in that they're automatically enrolled in a "varsity sports" class
6/1/2009 4:58:30 PM
that sucks but at least he'll be here in the fall. as long as it doesn't jeopardize his eligibility for next season.
