thats your closest chance.hop a flight to philly on southwest for $90 round trip then take the train to 30th street station, then the AC connector train, the jitney when you hit town.all told if you plan right and dont miss a train, you could do it in 3-4 hours.for another few hours longer than the ac drive you could just go to tunica or biloxi, but who woudl want to do that?

What sites are cryptos? Just received my party poker cuttoff letter. Oh joy.
10/3/2006 1:34:25 PM
i havent gotten party's yet.cryptos are like will hill, interpoker, sun, carribean sun, 24h, top (i think) and a few others that have been non us only for a long time (like ladbrokes)pretty big network, most of the sites offered monthly $100 or so bonuses.interesting how i got that e-mail at 12:51ish and 1 was the cutoff.imagine playing then just being like "wtf" hah
10/3/2006 1:40:32 PM
So why are they cutting off US players if the only issue is us getting our money on there. Seems to me if we could get it on there legally, and its not illegal for us to play here, what do they care? Im assuming its like I posted in the other thread, and is just a short time precaution, but still.I still like Full Tilts stand though how they don't plan on shutting us off.[Edited on October 3, 2006 at 1:45 PM. Actually the party poker e-mail was for my affiliate account, not my poker account.
10/3/2006 1:46:19 PM
wait wait, you had rakeback on party?all mine got closed down when the excommunication occured
10/3/2006 1:49:36 PM
yesexcommunication?
10/3/2006 1:51:17 PM
when they broke off the skins, i lost 2 rakebacks for party.damn, i was under the impression that finding party rakeback account was like finding a unicorn.i only searched for a short time however
10/3/2006 1:54:11 PM
Yeah, I only did it for a short time too. It was a bitch because they locked my account after 3 months without a new signup. I got a new sign up after I moved and cashed the fuck out and haven't checked it since.

Dont ever try and grind out a bonus on Mansion. I usually play limit online, and there are exactly EIGHT people in the entire world playing any level of limit right now. There is no traffic at all on that site.
10/5/2006 5:11:42 PM
Haha. Why are you still playing there after you got the savvy bonus? NL is a little better, but I agree they need more traffic.
10/5/2006 5:23:54 PM
Im not, I couldn't even get a game going at the limits I wanted lol. Im just doing some sportebetting while I am waiting on them to confirm the copy of my ID I sent them so I can cash out. Did you try Nine Poker yet? I talked to a guy on the phone from there, and he said they aren't shutting down or anything to US players, so its safe to play.

dude 63s is the nuts during the rebuy period Here's a hand from a little while ago. I virtually NEVER slow play any more, I'm raising a lot of hands preflop and continuation betting most flops. Usually when I flop a set after I raised preflop I will just bet out because either there's some sort of draw on the board or my image is total crap and people are starting to play back at me. With this hand I hadn't been at the table very long and the flop had no real draws, so I decided it was an okay time to slowplay. I have definately changed my game up. It's all about creating a laggy image while actually playing really tight when it comes to big pots. Lots of PFRing and c-betting. Something like vip-24/pfr-14/agg-5.The old nitty me was more like 14/1/2
10/6/2006 4:41:44 PM
10/6/2006 5:04:48 PM
I'm voluntarily putting money in the pot 24% of the hands, preflop raising 14% of my hands, and the last one is just an aggression factor. I'm not sure exactly how it's calculated, but it's a poker tracker thing dealing with how often I'm betting/raising as opposed to calling. 5 is pretty damn high for a winning player, 2 is not actually extremely low seeing as how the fishies/calling stations are <1.I've made serious changes in my game in recent months, as illustrated by these numbers. Basically changing from a set miner to a "laggy"(loose aggressive) player. I put that in quotes because I'm not actually as loose at people at the table believe me to be. Watching me fire big bets into most every flop I see and raising a couple times most orbits has a favorable psychological effect on my opponents. Basically, I get paid when I make big hands. And when I don't have anything I just muscle people out of pots where they don't have anything either.

This guy decides it's a good idea to not only call my three bet on the flop with nothing, but to basically minraise me with his all-in on the turn after I've completely commited to myself to the pot(and I've shown strength at every oppurtunity this hand). Nice bluff, guy. After a nice razz session a bit ago I'm basically even for the day.

i swear man, the 10 game has gotten so bad recentlyi walk in, and its a rock garden filled with people who are there multiple times per week.if i go and recognize over half of ALL the tables, i dont even want to play. for some reason, the 20 game has been really good to me, i wish i was properly rolled for it, and not be just taking shots... id love to play that full time.get more hardcore gamblers in there, and wacky assed asians. its a brutal game though, gets swingy.... really swingyi played the 20/40 today for 6 hours.30 minutes in - up 2002 hours in - down 7004:15 hrs in - up 900 4:45 hrs in - down 75 (the worst orbit of my life)5 hours in - up 750 (best orbit of my life)i had a strange situation today, where i had a big bet to call on what i thought was only a gutshot. oddly enough, i closed the action and was getting 21:1 to call off.weird.turns out both my two overs were totally live and the gutter was nut. so i was getting 21:1 to call off with 7 outs, or laying 6.7:1 while pulling massive +ev with no pair, no made hand after the turn.but due to the action i could only think my nut straight draw was live, still affording a 21:1 pay for about an 11.5:1not very common

I'm never quite sure how to play it when I flop the nut low draw and someone bets pot on the flop, especially when I'm 90% sure this will happen again on the turn unless my low hits. Most of the time there were 1-2 other people still in the hand. Any suggestions?
10/8/2006 6:36:56 PM
drawing for only half the pot is bad.with no appreciable high prospects, you shouldnt do so.
10/9/2006 7:33:39 AM
Ok, so if that's the case, are there any hands I should call preflop that don't have low potential?
10/9/2006 7:48:51 AM
four broadway cards preferably with a suited ace.thats about it
10/9/2006 7:50:09 AM
some hand stories from this weekendnote: as you move up in limits, nut peddling and only playing big hands is a good way to get destroyed. knowing when to call off thin, overcall, or identifying situations to push bets with marginal (seeming) holdings is very necessary. situational, representative, and even bluff bets are crucial in winning pots. opening up preflop and getting ultra aggro with seemingly quasi strong hands also creates a great image that you are trying to protect. so in accordance to all of this, there are situations that may come up in these hand histories that may seem a bit..... unconventional, but i assure you, i have no qualms with them. i miss bets often however, and thats something im working on. this comes from still being a bit too timid with non monsters that i think are good. Note that many of these things can only be applied to players you must identify. you cannot make some bets against someone likely to call you down with a middling pair as opposed to someone who you know you can fold with representative bets.I love love love the first hand:i had just gotten to the table a few orbits before, it's like 5 am, and the game is short handed ( )New player comes in, very solid young asian guy whom ive played with before. Really aggressive, capable of making some amazing plays, and his preflop raising range is....... two cards. however, he has the capability to lay down hands that he has been leading at when he feels he is behind. we have a history however, of me constantly sucking out on him.... this session continued the trend.anyways,BB with Ad 8h.Nigerian suckout artist folds, Asian kid mentioned above raises to $40. Wacky nutjob wide open ultra loose asian calls (who is running good and has stacked up to about 4k), Trinidadian maniacally agrro but yet solid player folds, the best player at the table folds, antoehr azn from the sb folds, i call.flop: Kh Qh Thhmmmm....checkazn bets, wacky folds (which, was about the only time during the whole day)we call.turn: Tswe sit there and think about it, contemplating a bet (when really im thinking, theres only one way i can win this pot....)and decide to check/raise.............thoughts?
10/9/2006 9:37:18 AM
I don't necessarily dislike the play. You're up against a guy who will fold if he's behind and a wacky loose player. I don't think you have much to worry about from the wacky loose, and this CR gets you a great look at the asian you've played with before. If he RR, then you can let it go, as you're probably going to go down in flames (I don't think your pot odds are HUGE, but you might consider it if you think he may be bluffing). I like the CR here because you're giving yourself a chance to win the pot here for about the same cost as calling him down to the river. If he raises you, you're probably beat and can lay down, and if you've scared him, you may win the pot b/c they both fold or you can check-check the river if the crazy wacky loose calls.
10/9/2006 10:15:22 AM
forgot to mention that was 20/40 LIMIT holdem.
10/9/2006 10:25:37 AM
I picked up on it from the bet you mentioned plus the fact that you play mostly limit and you didn't say anything about how much you considered check-raising, which would be essential if it was no limit. What happened?
10/9/2006 10:32:43 AM
He three bets quickly. oh shit, here we go..........I grab a stack and 4 bet even quicker, cutting out the requisite 16 red $5 chips for the last 2 bets into $20 stacks. He goes into the tank. After about a minute and a half of him thinking, he says "i guess im going to have to pay you off this time." then slowly calls. What I took that to mean was him essentially saying"i've only got a pair, and a good heart as a redraw, i dont have a ten, im not full yet but im crying out for a heart to come"this was good news to me, so i smoke bet the river, and thankfully the 2c fell (the biggest brick of all time). he mucks.i table the A8 while im dragging the pot and he stands up and walks off for a second shaking his head.He folded AK (durrr).wacky azn and another azn exend closed fists for pounds while they were yelling and laughing.make an azn proud of a bluff, you're in for a great session.
