I read the book this series is based on. And honestly I don't remember much, haha.

It's a shame House of the Dragon didn't get it's own thread. I guess there just aren't enough people commenting these days to warrant it.I have such a hard time watching these characters make the dumbest decisions. Not because I don't think it's good tv. It's just...damn these people are stupid. Viserys taking Alicent as wife, Rhaenyra not finding someone who looks more like a Valaryon to father her kids. My only critique I guess is one of the main conflicts in this show being the very same conflict in Game of Thrones - bastard sons inheriting or attempting to inherit the throne. Also, I liked Viserys, he seemed like a good king. Aegon is a snivelling little shit who reminds me of Viserys 2.0 from GoT.I'm on ep 9.It would be awesome if they could somehow carry this through and let us see what it was like under the mad king, with Robert's rebellion and a young Ned Stark, etc.[Edited on November 15, 2022 at 3:56 PM. Viserys was a poor king bc he was indecisive and procrastinated important decisions, then didn't do enough to support them. He cared more about his models than ruling.

Which question?

Sorry "is viserys a good king" is the last question in the mailbag

Ah ok. Yea. In GRRM's world, if you're a nice and honorable person, trouble is definitely heading your way.

Just rewatched season 1 of House of Dragon. Stoked for season 2. Black Queen is Pissed!

I'm rewatching and very annoyed that Cole got off for his actions at the royal wedding. Im not even sure if murdering a guest or punching Laenor was a more egregious unpunished crime in that scenario. Suffers zero consequences.

it’s been a great watch and last weeks episode was incredible

I feel like I've enjoyed season two as much as some of the better original Game of Thrones seasons.

While the finale ending montage was kinda fun, sedmd like a lame way to end a season.Otherwise, pretty decent season.

just saw someone mention that it may have ended that way due to the strikehaven’t seen it confirmed, but it makes sense

Like scrubs before they moved to ABC?

I know I keep watching, but my interest is barely being held here. The finale was a boring slog. Additionally the new standard of 8 episodes being a "season" reduces my interest and attention even more. Is this a show or a mini-series?(fully aware many other shows have done the same thing in last few years)I feel like showrunners should turn that trend around or risk losing viewers.

It sets up next season nicely, next season will have more warfare but this season was definitely better as a whole than season 1. So how long before season 3. I am guessing 2026.
