^ I would feel the same way, IF this show hadn't spent the better part of this season building up to Negan's arrival. I just feel like they gave all of their viewers blue balls.
4/5/2016 7:17:59 PM
Negan was standing over Rick right before the camera faded and he bashed someone's head in. It's got to be Rick that he killed.Nope. I still don't believe they would kill off Rick at this point. He is too central to the group.
4/7/2016 12:27:05 PM
You don't kill off the leader of a group that you're trying to convince to work for you. He knows if he convinces Rick that it's in his best interest to submit and work for him, that everyone will follow suit. Kill Rick and he becomes a martyr for them to rally around when the inevitable rebellion happens. Plus losing a group's leader tends to weaken the overall group and in-fighting commences. Negan wants to maximize output and assets, and at this point humans are pretty big assets.
4/7/2016 12:46:30 PM
One could also make the argument that to finally make this group of people who've proven to be a real pain in the ass and actual force to deal with the best course of action would be to kill their leader so that they're less likely to have a good plan to rise up later. For the record, I don't think for a second he killed Rick and the above is what the next season will be about, Rick and co devising a plan for how to kill/escape Negan. Just playing Devil's Advocate. There are arguments as to why it's not Rick that was killed, but a tactical argument isn't the strongest
4/7/2016 12:52:11 PM
It's gotta be glenn. he was the only one who showed an emotional response to anyone being threatened. emotional attachment = weakness while in survival mode.
4/7/2016 12:52:39 PM
I would put my money on Glenn right nowBetween the first person point of view shots from earlier this episode and the one where the dude shot himself in front of him, the constant toying with his life by the writers, and some other stuff, that's just where I think they're pushing it...they still should have just shown it this episode though. As someone above pointed out, no one's only watching next season because they want to see who died
4/7/2016 1:00:18 PM
It's not Rick because Negan said "if anyone moves cut the boys other eye out and feed it to his father". Internet seems to think Glenn but who knows...
4/7/2016 1:04:19 PM
And also because Negan outright said he wouldn't kill their leader because it would make him a martyr.
4/7/2016 4:06:25 PM
Glenn and Abraham are both acceptable options.Aaron would be beyond disappointing.I still don't think you can kill Rick if you're in Negan's place. If you can just get him to submit(like he did with Gregory at Hilltop), then you can control everyone. Their leader surrendering to you shows your level in the food chain and typically if he concedes defeat his minions will too. Eliminating Rick would cause dissension in the ranks of the remaining survivors as some would want to rebel and some would want to concede and you'd have in-fighting to determine a new leader. All of that leads to less production and more headache from his point of view. It's like fighting the Hydra, if you cut off the head, more pop-up, if you just put a leash on the one head to begin with, you have a lot less fighting to do.
4/8/2016 7:32:39 PM
If it is any of the main cast, I'd be pretty pissed. Not because they don't deserve to die- many of them do at this point- but because I believe the emotional pull at the end of this episode would be much greater than that at the beginning of the next episode, when the plot will transition into many other distractions moments later. It won't be Rick, so let's scratch that. It also won't be Coral, because Rick would do something following that, which would lead to his death. Won't be Maggie for that same reason. Otherwise, everyone else is free game.In general, that finale could have been much better. After seeing two roadblocks, or maybe 3, you get the point that they're trapped. There could have been much more story without that repetition or maybe even a normal episode with fewer commercials. I also felt the plan to leave the van was the dumbest ever. These saviors clearly have eyes everywhere. Just because it's dark doesn't mean the saviors won't see a group of 6 and a stretcher roaming through the woods.
4/12/2016 9:46:21 AM
I thought the repeated roadblocks that got progressively larger helped us to appreciate the scale and reach of the Saviors. Now we know just how adept they are and how they have numbers, whereas a couple of episodes ago we thought they were a handful of bullies that Rick & Co. largely wiped out.It was a little slow, but I get the premise behind it.[Edited on April 12, 2016 at 10:51 AM. 4/12/2016 10:50:13 AM
They needed to really show Rick lose his resolve and start freaking out.
4/12/2016 11:14:10 AM
4/12/2016 1:05:34 PM
2 things: - I got the impression that the roadblocks were showing up behind them as well as time went on, meaning going back wasn't an option (if im wrong, FUCK YOU) - the fucking bazooka sure would have come in handy, especially against that big group blocking the road (they had six shells, I have only seen 2 used), I think Negan would have been pee-pee pants city right off the bat
4/13/2016 8:43:29 PM
Good point.
4/14/2016 1:10:58 PM
Abraham is my prediction
4/14/2016 3:58:18 PM
Finally caught up!I'm hooked No clue who heat beat up, but I'm putting my money on Abraham.
5/27/2016 10:31:44 PM
the beginning, the end?I don't know what to think of those commercialsand it looks like Spencer wants to "make a deal,"sounds like he doesn't have the guts to make a stand
9/12/2016 11:29:35 PM
now would be a good time for Carol to go Rambo again, or for someone to have the intelligence to be carrying around the bazooka like NCSUstinger said. But the plot needed another forced character development. Also I think Abraham might be safe, I think it might be a bigger character
9/12/2016 11:49:15 PM
1 week
10/16/2016 11:07:36 PM
^^In this situation, the bazooka wouldn't help that much. Couldn't really hit too many of Negan's people without hitting Rick & Co. too. They all have rifles at the ready too (but then again they also had them pointed right at them during the railroad track fight and they weren't able to get a single clean shot so who knows)
10/17/2016 10:13:56 AM
not sure i really want to start watching this again. i think i'm over this show.
10/23/2016 9:14:23 PM
then don't
10/23/2016 9:28:26 PM
Jesus Christ that was intense as fuck
10/23/2016 9:32:01 PM
I'm not watching anymore, but I am curious, so who got it?
10/23/2016 9:38:01 PM
Not seeing anymore likeable characters to watch for.Rick must have been hallucinating.[Edited on October 23, 2016 at 9:53 PM. Reason : I]

10/23/2016 10:16:41 PM
I don't think they could've done a better job with the finale, premiere, or introduction of Negan. In 1.5 episodes he's become one of the biggest villains on screen
10/23/2016 10:24:19 PM
My prediction at work was right about the first one , but I didn't see the other one coming, I won't post the names till someone else does or at least Wednesday I guess. Then again, if you have this sitting on your DVR, you should steer clear of this thread.I suppose we will see the group under foot for a few episodes, possibly the whole first half. Then we can see who has the guts to fight, and possibly who doesn't
10/23/2016 10:29:35 PM
JDM as Negan works to an unbelievable level.
10/23/2016 10:35:32 PM
If you click on this thread after tonight having not already watched it, it is your own fault if it gets spoiled. Its the biggest cliffhanger of the entire show up to this point. So that being said rjrumfel, Abraham got it. Shortly after, Glenn got it too. Very brutally too. Negan pretty much caved their heads in.Also, I feel like there were definitely a few times in the RV that Rick could have gotten at Negan before he got his rifle up. But then again maybe he had a pistol or something hidden on him and he was kind of hoping that Rick would try it.
10/23/2016 10:44:01 PM
The episode came off more as torture porn than a well thought out, well written episode. If it had just been one of the group getting killed and whatnot it would have been better. And let's face it, we know the group will exact revenge but there's no amount that would be good enough.
10/23/2016 11:11:15 PM
Carol and Morgan are (we think) at the kingdom
10/24/2016 6:26:43 AM
^ Yes, Morgan and Carol are going to the Kingdom. I'm guessing we see them next episode and then go back to the group the 3rd episode.
10/24/2016 8:26:51 AM
Anyone think that Maggie is going to put any blame on Daryl?
10/24/2016 9:00:04 AM
I thought about that^ but they showed a shot of her when Daryl was getting thrown in the van and she looked horrified about itwhat a fucked up episode
10/24/2016 9:03:25 AM
I thought Rick could have attacked Negan as well, but what does he do at that point? His people are still being held at gunpoint by basically a small army and you have 1 gun, a hatchet, Lucille, and an RV. Not much of a chance everyone doesn't die in that scenario. And damn they nailed Negan. I wish he would have dropped an F-bomb or two, but still, spot-on. Based on my FB feed last night, I think the introduction definitely sold just how big of a villain he is.
10/24/2016 9:09:07 AM
What is the Kingdom? I don't remember any talk of that? I remember they encountered some friendly people at the end of the last season?
10/24/2016 9:11:26 AM
^ yeah was that discussed last season and I missed it? Or else is that comic book talk in which case there is another thread I'm sure you're well aware of
10/24/2016 9:18:37 AM
unnecessarily gory and the episode dragged out, the hallucination and RV trip felt like they were trying to fill their time slot
10/24/2016 9:20:58 AM
I think the kingdom was alluded to last season, but I'm almost positive it was mentioned in teasers for this season. Plus, there's been a guy with a white tiger shown in all the promos so you have to know something is coming. I've never read the comics so what I know is just what I've heard or read on here (not the spoilers thread)
10/24/2016 10:46:01 AM
I will never understand why it's ok to show gore and violence but not say certain words, not that I'm saying the gore and violence should be censored.
10/24/2016 10:06:28 PM
^south park did it
10/24/2016 10:12:21 PM
i thought Rick was going to cut Carl's arm off.Impossible situation, hurt your son or watch him get his head beat in. Even he hurt Carl, Rick couldn't be sure that Neegan still wouldn't do more fucked up shit to his group. Is the rest of Neegan's group so afraid of him that they allow him to do this shit? I would have peaced out on that group a long time ago. It's been a while since I saw any episodes from last season, but does Rick have enough people to stand up to Neegan once he gets back to Alexandria? I know they have ammo, but possibly not enough food for a seige?
10/24/2016 11:58:59 PM
^no. those people arent ready for this.
10/25/2016 8:04:35 AM
^^See, I never felt like Rick was going to have to hurt Carl. It seemed clear to me that he wasn't a submissive Rick and he wants the group to know he's submissive. If he forces Rick to hurt Carl, Rick's always going to have hatred inside of him and it would make Rick an empathetic figure people could rally behind. If he makes Rick look weak and obedient, everyone under him will follow suit. Thought it was clear that he just wanted to prove he could make Rick do anything he wanted. That's the beauty of a character like Negan, some of the things he does makes perfectly good sense(not killing Rick) but he's also a maniac about how he goes about some of those things(Lucille). The Saviors are followers, they have a charismatic leader, it's a perfect combination. They get protection, food, and power all by just following a maniac and hurting some strangers that give them food. It's probably not a bad deal for them as long as they don't piss Negan off.And no, Alexandria has proven to be full of people with no survival or fighting abilities. They could siege for a while but those fences wouldn't hold up long to humans with vehicles/weapons.
10/25/2016 9:07:52 AM
10/25/2016 9:08:46 AM
Remember they are all Negan.
10/25/2016 9:40:42 AM
Are they gonna try some Ramsay Snow v. Theon/Reek???
10/25/2016 9:49:33 AM
Negan thinks he is God, Rick is Abraham, and Carl is IsaacThat was the discussion on another board lol
