no, he wanted to go to alabama but they wanted him to play te, o'cain did the dirty work, evaluating and deciding that we'd offer pr and let him play qb
1/2/2012 4:46:48 PM
Thatd be weird seeing PR as a TE
1/2/2012 4:48:47 PM
dont know many TEs than run 5.5 40s
1/2/2012 5:01:37 PM
tyler lewis actually grew up a UNC fan but Sid was able to get him mostly because UNC barely, if at all, recruited him.
1/2/2012 5:42:44 PM
ya kinda dumb to criticize Amato for recruiting, he was a pretty great recruiter just couldnt coach 'em up once they got there, kinda like a former bball coach.
1/2/2012 7:40:29 PM
^^he committed to State his sophomore year fwiw but hell yeah if Sidney swayed him http://admissions.ncsu.edu/blogs/tag/tyler-lewis/
1/2/2012 8:00:57 PM
I didn't know Tyler Lewis is going to play football.

Just saw we have a 6'4 325 lbs JC transfer enrolling early. Nice. At DT, size is half the battle.
1/6/2012 12:05:12 PM
I think that's the guy who was setting all kinds of weight-lifting records at his JuCo.
1/6/2012 12:29:18 PM
^^^lol. She barely looks older than he does. Prolly one of those 15 year old moms. ANYWAYS....
1/6/2012 3:27:51 PM
she's probably mad b'c LSU was offering more $$
1/6/2012 3:48:34 PM
Dawson to Louisville
1/7/2012 1:44:18 PM
^no surprise. Dawson has peaked his physical attributes and plays stiff. Not the type LB our staff wants. Not sure he had a real commitable offer. He didn't have one from Clemson either.
1/7/2012 1:54:36 PM
lol diss a player who doesnt choose NCSU, typical. He's better than 75% of our returning LB's
1/7/2012 3:12:04 PM
yeah, he's so awesome Clemson declined his commitment twice.
1/7/2012 3:18:22 PM
Todd Gurley will make his decision on Friday.
1/7/2012 4:17:58 PM
^^^lol...not dissing...just stating truth. Sure, it sounds like a UNC thing to say, but when it is stated multiple times on multiple websites that our staff has multiple guys AHEAD of him on their board, why would I come on here saying, "Aw shucks, we should have gotten him, he was great!"?Truth is, our staff likes the longer, leaner guys that they can transform into a LB. Dawson has peaked physically and plays stiff. Not sure if he even had a commitable offer. I know he didn't from Clemson, yet he still listed them. He was a fall-back guy for us who happened to choose Louisville. His dad lives there, i'm happy for him. Good Luck. We will be fine.btw, what makes you say he is better than 75% of our returners? Is it the 4*s? If so, good luck with that...half the guys on this board know more about football than the people that hand out those stars.[Edited on January 7, 2012 at 4:22 PM. Reason : ///]

Ive heard that Gurley has been backing off a bit with Clemson, FWIW....however Clemson desperately needs a RB if Ellington goes to the draft w/ the uncertainty of Mike Bellamy growing up and being responsible.Georgia landed Keith Marshall, so I'd be surprised if Gurley goes there.UNC making a late push...If i had to put money on it, i'd still say Gurley could be a Tiger, but i dont think it's out of the question that he stays home and plays for the wolfpack.
1/7/2012 4:25:10 PM
is it a good sign that he's seemingly made his decision before visiting unc?
1/7/2012 4:28:38 PM
1/7/2012 4:29:08 PM
Gurley ain't gonna pick UNC.
1/7/2012 5:10:26 PM
I know its not set in stone of course but some unc fan was asking Gurley if he was gonna visit UNC and he goes "naa, probably not", then the unc fan sulked away (on twitter, which is pathetic). My gut says its between us and clemson.
1/7/2012 5:38:28 PM
we've already landed 2 RB's ourselves in Thornton and Walls, although Walls is 6'4" and may be moved to WR. We'll need to reload after losing Washington and Barnes next year.
1/9/2012 10:41:08 AM
I'm pretty sure Walls was recruited as a LB.

really? looks more like clemson to me

1/11/2012 8:20:59 AM
everythign i've read & seen has him landing in Clemson, but i think State is in the mix too big time. The thing at Clemson is that now that Andre Ellington is back, and Mike Bellamy isnt transferring, Clemson still has 2 explosive RBs and a bruiser in DJ Howard (Auburn transfer). He would be fighting for PT.Same sort of scenario at Georgia, with them landing Keith Marshall. At State, we have Mustafa & James Washington...which i think he would be an easier time getting more reps. I haven't seen the kid play, but running a 4.3 at that size is super impressive.
1/11/2012 8:40:11 AM
depending on what our staff does with Creecy could significantly affect playing time availability at the RB position, especially in 2013.
1/11/2012 8:58:04 AM
Owino coming for an Official Visit this weekend. He is committed to UNC, but we were a finalist before he committed.
1/11/2012 9:07:57 AM
This is why I said Georgia. Obviously he was a big Clemson fan...but it still looks iffy. But I also don't follow recruiting for shit these days.
1/11/2012 9:20:33 AM
sort of poll-skewing but more like comments padding.http://espn.go.com/blog/high-school/football/post/_/id/4682/todd-gurley-diary-decision-day-is-hereshow him some love in the comments, never know[Edited on January 12, 2012 at 3:21 PM. Reason : ]

If Wake gets Quinshad Davis they'll probably go to last and they might lose a few more yet. Supposedly they just lost a head-to-head with MTSU for a guy and dem fans aint none too happy.
