Hill wasn’t doing much tonight other than his one 3 point play. I didn’t have a problem taking him out but probably not for poor shooting MOC. I would say I hope the 3 freshman get lots of time going forward but then they will probably leave for a big NIL deal to the SEC.

Give Pass his minutes. Pass is the most efficient scorer so far and when he's been in there with Parker and Taylor the offense has looked miles better.

Also, to be fair to MOC, he showed he can actually score some when the offense starts opening up. He was 4-4 in the first half when Marcus Hill was actually looking to pass and not insisting on driving into the teeth of the defense and throwing up a prayer.

I think Pass’s numbers look efficient because he’s only shooting like 3 shots per game and playing 15 mins. I don’t think it would translate to similar efficiency if he was playing 30 mins and being asked to take 12 shots/game.

Pass is a solid 3pt shooter but he’s not good enough to warrant way more minutes or asking him to be a primary scorer on offense.

That's definitely a possibility. But there are 5 games this year where he took 6 shots or more and in only one of those did he shoot under 50%. And he is forced to do this in small groups of minutes. He almost never gets to play for a long stretch.

Why not give him more minutes until his efficiency drops badly or he proves its not a fluke. Its also not shooting efficiency itself that he's bringing. Its what he does to open up the offense for other guys and him not taking low percentage shots. Low percentage shots paired with our poor rebounding are almost as bad as a turnover.

Imagine if Pass took all of Hill's minutes last night and did nothing but help facilitate to other players. Now Hill's 10 attempts go to the rest of the team, which had an eFG% of 57% last night, if you remove Hill's shots. That becomes an extra 10 points. Which would have had the score tied. Obviously, I'm getting loose with with extrapolating stats from a single game here. But that's a pretty glaring hole.

I appreciate what you’re saying. I’m all for trying new and different things to shake things up because for the most par this roster is deeply flawed. But if you’re asking me to choose between Hill and Pass, my answer is gonna be Hill. Hill had a bad game last night. Especially seemed to force things and struggle early in the second half. I think he was simply overmatched. I think Pass would’ve been overmatched too.
