It's too bad for Wazza that he doesn't belive in "luck" and "American stats" bc xG puts MU as the 2nd best team so far behind city.Or to be more clear, they should be in 2nd place based on xG [Edited on September 23, 2019 at 10:51 AM. Reason : E]

I think VAR is being poorly utilized especially on tight offsides calls. I like a little bit of human error but now linesman are just letting everything go hoping if its offsides they get bailed out by VAR. Its getting to the point there is no need for a linesman at all. That said I thought Chelsea played well in 2nd half, Liverpool obviously is better at the moment and will beat other teams. My fears in relation to USMNT and Christian Pulisic appear to be becoming a reality as he has not featured in last 3 matches (though to be fair 2 first half subs to defenders due to injury hindered his chances yesterday). This will only get worse once RLC and CHO return from injury

^^ xG probably told a truer story for Palace & Southampton matches but the West Ham away performance can't be covered up by xG. I do love how the media is now saying Jose was right after spending months saying how he deserved the sack and wasn't good enough. Typical trash spun out by the media though, football is fickle.

Get the fuck in Colchester!
9/24/2019 5:35:14 PM
watched a bit of Arsenal last night. Holding/Tierney/Bellerin should all walk into the starting lineup when they're finally 100%
9/25/2019 4:43:37 AM
Chambers too if they insist on playing out of the back. He played CDM all last year and is by far the most composed on the ball. Burn the entire defense down.
9/25/2019 6:22:39 AM
Wouldn't be terribly concerned if I were Tottenham, it's the fucking League Cup who cares.
9/25/2019 7:05:05 AM
Not a big deal to lose a meaningless cup game but I saw today their record since mid-Feb is W8 D6 L12, and that's counting last night's defeat as a draw. Not greatI want Liverpool to make some cup runs but mostly to get the full squad some minutes, especially Brewster.
9/25/2019 7:16:15 AM
Oh yeah, their form in general is shit and worrying. They've definitely got issues to work through regardless of yesterday's result.
9/25/2019 8:12:58 AM
Winners care about every cup competition. Unprofessional losers don't.

Colchester, a mid table league 2 team, has a clean sheet for the tourney so far and have beaten 2 PL teams, and now they play another league 2 team next round. The draw is kinda comical but at least city didn't draw league 2!
9/25/2019 5:52:59 PM
Literally no team in any European competition cares about the League Cup until, at the very least, the Semifinals. Just because it’s the only trophy Spurs has won in a generation doesn’t matter. That said, their overall play the last 10 months is... disturbing if you’re a Spurs fan. I know they’ve had injuries but they just haven’t kicked on.The entire PL is Liverpool and City these days..
9/26/2019 7:30:10 AM
City aren't going anywhere unless something happens to their ownership group. They've got the money to keep this shit going as long as they want.Liverpool will eventually come back to the pack though, or others will come up and catch them. They need a PL title soon if they're going to do it, IMO.
9/26/2019 8:38:44 AM
Just curious why you think that? Or maybe we differ on what "soon" means
9/26/2019 9:21:21 AM
Probably the latter. I don't think Pool are going to just suck ass in a couple of seasons for no reason, just that their gap on the other "Big 6" teams will likely shrink far more quickly than City. They just sat out a transfer window rather than continuing to build the gap even larger, and I just haven't gotten the impression Henry is the kind of dude who will just keep throwing money at the team to get into an arms race with City.Just seems to me it's far more likely they'll come back to the pack within 3-5 years rather than continue the shootout with City. Could be wrong though, I'm just guessing. Even if they "drop back" a little, they could still routinely finish in 2nd or comfortably top 4 for a while. I just think they need to strike on their "we need to win a PL title" thing soon while City is likely focusing on the UCL.
9/26/2019 9:32:25 AM
ah ok yeah 3-5 years is reasonableBut I don't think it's because they need to do it while City is focused on CL or that they won't be able to compete financially if necessary. I think it's because they need to cash in while they still have Klopp and a Klopp-built team in their prime.
9/26/2019 9:38:07 AM
Klopp is the only key to pool's success. Klopp isn't going to stick around to establish a dominant period like Sir Alex did. I don't see Klopp staying for more than 3 more years at max, seems like the kind of guy that will retire early too.
9/26/2019 9:55:08 AM
We are no longer in the era of the legendary coach/manager with one team in the highest level of professional/college sports. Even Pep will move on from City. I would say Pep and Klopp will both be gone from the PL in 3-5 years. Honestly if City win the CL this season Pep will probably step away, I mean he would have won every trophy for City at that point.
9/26/2019 10:12:23 AM
yeah, wazza talking shit again since he has to believe OGS has the ability to single handedly turn around United's shit show because there's no framework or support system built around him at that club like there is at good clubs
9/26/2019 10:33:33 AM
^ lmao. I have been talking about United's incompetent management and transfer policies for years now. I have never once said OGS has the ability to turn it around single handedly. In fact I have said it doesn't matter who the manager is because no one will succeed without that structure. I will admit that isn't completely correct though because there are managers who do succeed without the structure in place. Klopp, Simone and Pep to name a few. I think all three of them are doing better with this united squad. Pool didn't miraculously go from shite to challenging overnight and it isn't some fantastic structure you implemented. Klopp is the difference and the back office is supporting him fully in that. And we don't want OGS fired because he is a club legend. We want him to be given time to implement a philosophy and introduce a structure like Sir Alex did. It may not work but neither is firing the manager and giving someone else another inherited squad that isn't complete. I am willing to be patient for OGS but we weren't for someone like Mourinho though.
9/27/2019 8:58:22 AM
9/27/2019 9:26:23 AM
So again Klopp making the difference by attracting your number 1 choices. Managers like Klopp also are smarter about the individuals they want. It isn't just their skill but also their character. He has also picked up the levels of performances for many players that weren't considered this good before he came in. Ole is trying to implement something similar to what Sir Alex had and to get players in here who actually want to be here instead of throwing money at the issue like Ed has been doing. This is why we are being patient, at least a majority of us. United's scouting hasn't miraculously gone to shit just like yours didn't magically get better after Klopp. Different managers have prioritized different signings and Ed has opted to keep throwing money at the issue thinking that would solve it. Yes money helps but you need a plan. Ole is trying to develop that plan and I'd argue he is the first manager actually trying to build a team instead of grabbing individuals and throwing them in. Whether he is tactically astute enough or whether his plan will work remains to be seen. I don't mind finishing 8th if we see progress by March or April. I love how he is bedding in the youth even if a majority won't pan out. Rather this than Mourinho bitch and moan or LVG go on about philosophy and pass it around the back line for 90% of the match trying to play tiki taka bullshit.
9/27/2019 11:29:08 AM
Your rambling is changing the conversation. You said it's only Klopp and I am arguing that it isn't. Transfers aren't done by managers like they're playing FM. Klopp is an elite coach, nobody is arguing that he isn't and certainly not me. But he is not singlehandedly responsible for Liverpool's success in the transfer market and the current makeup of their squad, just like Ole isn't solely responsible for United's failures. You have to have a capable scouting system, the ability to get it done in the transfer market, and a coach that can take advantage of those things for it to work. Liverpool has it. United doesn't.imho Ole and United actually wanted to throw more money around at bigger targets (Longstaff, Bruno, Dybala, Sancho, Ben Yedder, Eriksen were all very real possibilities) but they were unable to for different reasons plus they've had some key injuries early to Martial, Rashford, and Pogba so now they have to rely on youth. For example, I really don't think Ole thought Daniel James would be a key contributor this early. Good for him he's taking his chance but I can't imagine this was the master plan

Emery has somehow made the defense worse and abandoned all attack. It’s insane. At least with Wenger we had a terrible defense but were mostly still fun to watch on attack.Auba is legit world class and wasting away playing Europa League for a hopeless manager.
10/1/2019 10:48:05 AM
That is the worst Arsenal v United match I have ever seen. My what a fall from the early 2000's where the two of us were setting the tone in the PL. Miss that rivalry and those days. Neither of the two teams are anywhere near the top 20 of Europe.

Hey turns out VVD is human.....Best front 3 in the world though. Not looking forward to playing in Salzburg with 90 of Haaland.

I mean VVD got directly beat for 2 of the goals, and he or robertson missed the open runner for the 3rd It's not a big deal especially since we won
