i hope that is not an april fools joke.
4/1/2012 11:52:01 AM
yeah, seems kinda meh and I don't know if SI has a history of 4/1 jokes
4/1/2012 11:57:55 AM
well i mean i hope jordan really does sell them.worst sports owner/gm ever.
4/1/2012 12:22:47 PM
nm, he said if he can't make a profit[Edited on April 1, 2012 at 1:09 PM. Reason : fuck Jordan]
4/1/2012 12:57:01 PM
by the way, we're mathematically out of the playoff race...big shock to some of you, i know, but we're out of the playoff race officiallyif (when) we don't get the #1 pick, who do we draft? Thomas Robinson? MKG? Somebody else?
4/3/2012 12:36:40 AM
If they aren't able to draft davis, I say the next best thing is definitely Robinson. That dude is monstrously athletic and just built for the NBA
4/3/2012 9:35:19 AM
Worst we can have is 4th, so I think one of Robinson, MKG, or Drummond. I know Drummond underperformed, but his size/athleticism combo is rare enough to take a flier on.
4/3/2012 9:36:57 AM
I will be shocked if the Bobcats actually win the lottery. Just a hunch that the Nets will win it (they traded the pick to portland, but it is top 3 protected this year).
4/3/2012 10:14:53 AM
if they get top 3 i think they'll be fine. i would be ok with MKG or Robinson, but would obviously prefer to have Davis. the 4th pick gets a little iffy, like drafting Drummond based on his ceiling. i don't know that the Bobcats need any more big men who don't pan out.
4/3/2012 10:39:18 AM
Honestly, if we're at #4, I'd rather draft Harrison Barnes than Drummond ... as dumb as it sounds. Drummond seems too similar to Bismack to me and doesn't seem to give a shit out there. At least Barnes can score.I still think Moultrie from Miss St is hugely underrated in this draft. Wouldn't be upset with him in the least
4/3/2012 11:00:29 AM
Where losing to the Wizards by 30 happens
4/9/2012 9:26:24 PM
One of the worst NBA teams ever
4/9/2012 11:06:13 PM
I can't believe I paid $40 to watch the two teams Jordan has ruined. What a waste.
4/9/2012 11:33:23 PM
"If you combine the teams' 20 wins this season they're still fewer than 24 NBA teams."lol
4/10/2012 12:20:13 AM
i feel like instead of moving the Checkers' playoff games (if they make it) to Raleigh because of the Bobcats' schedule they should let the post-season team have the arena and send the Bobcats over to JC Smith gym for the rest of the season.
4/10/2012 9:26:32 AM
Cartier Martin is a stud though. No shame in letting him torch you Bobcats.Honestly if you work for the Bobcats, like in marketing or accounting, do you even tell people that they are your employer. If I had a job with them, I'd probably tell people that I am an importer/exporter.
4/10/2012 10:06:17 AM
My buddy works for them selling tickets. He is in outside sales, which is currently salary+commission, but will move into straight commission starting at the beginning of July 2010. He has been in this position since July 2009. So far this year he's sold maybe a few dozen season tickets; most of them are 8-20 game packages for marquee teams. He doesn't sell to Bobcats fans as much as to fans of the other teams. He also drives a '98 Camry and has an ugly girlfriend. I do not envy him.
4/10/2012 10:26:01 AM
4/10/2012 10:32:13 AM
didn't Cartier Martin play for the Bobcats for a spell?
4/10/2012 10:40:43 AM
Yeah he dropped buckets on the reg for us. Of course, Jordan thought it wise to pay Magette 20x for the same production.
4/10/2012 10:45:16 AM
4/12/2012 9:45:25 AM
of the 4 coaches this franchise has had, Vincent is by far the worst, not even close
4/12/2012 9:47:33 AM
Slave i realize your boy is in outside sales but hear me out...Has he considered asking Jordan to draft good players and not sign and trade for bad ones?
4/12/2012 9:50:39 AM
did we win???
4/14/2012 3:10:49 AM
no
4/14/2012 3:35:55 AM
Anthony Davis is the only thing that can save this franchise[Edited on April 14, 2012 at 3:38 AM. Reason : or face becoming gm]
4/14/2012 3:37:53 AM
No foul here:
4/14/2012 3:43:12 AM
i could certainly help. There's a ton of guys toiling away on benches that could help this franchise... Guys like Lavoy Allen, the Birdman, Goran Dragic (before the injury to Lowry), Guys we got rid of having good seasons like Dominic McGuire and Dante Cunningham. Guys we didn't even bother picking up as a free agent like Jeremy Lin or Danny Green or Reggie Evans.Guys we stupidly didn't draft like Kawhi Leonard and Kenneth Faried blowing up in their rookie season.Guys we stupidly traded away now becoming stars like Brandan Wright.Guys we stupidly traded away that were still studs like Tyson Chandler and Gerald Wallace.Instead we drafted guys who suck like Kemba, Gerald Henderson. Traded for guys who suck like Corey Maggette and Matt Carroll and Desagna Diop and Eduardo Najera. We signed guys who quit trying like Tyrus Thomas. Instead of taking on a D-league with a high ceiling we employ our own GM's SON as our 12th man. And he actually gets playing time. Are you kidding me???The only three things we've done worth a shit were draft Biyombo and sign Derrick Brown and Reggie Williams. And to top it all off we didn't draft Chris Paul who you could argue is the MVP of the NBA this season (okay, he's 2nd to Lebron but those two are by far the best players in the league right now)Is it too much to ask to do anything right? So yes, we'd be a far better team if I was the GM. We'd probably be a better team if my mom was the GM.[Edited on April 14, 2012 at 4:31 AM. Reason : a]
4/14/2012 4:30:46 AM
4/14/2012 11:53:48 AM
No. Why did he quit trying? Was it because we made the playoffs then got rid of everyone? Or was it because we gave $ to a guy ready to quit?
4/14/2012 6:39:10 PM
Sp since New Orleans has a new owner can we go ahead and get the hornets name back? They can take the "jazz" name back.
4/15/2012 1:57:22 AM
only down 6 to the celtics....in the 3rd quarter
4/15/2012 7:43:04 PM
^The Celtics aren't playing Garnett, Pierce, or Allen.

bttt...DAMN
4/23/2012 9:14:49 PM
4/23/2012 11:13:30 PM
^i guess...but either way we've got a 25% chance of landing Anthony Davis, a 75% chance of having a 25% chance on the #1 pick next year
4/23/2012 11:16:10 PM
i think losing like 15 games by more than 25 points might have cemented the "worst of all time" plateau already6 or 7 or those by more than 30[Edited on April 24, 2012 at 7:00 AM. Reason : ]
4/24/2012 6:59:51 AM
I keep hearing about their run for the worst winning percentage of all time but I never hear mention of who currently holds that record. Who is it?I'm assuming that it was a team that played more games during their season as well. Maybe that assumption is incorrect. If that's the case the other team lost more which seems worse. Exaggerating the point a bit but they could just shorten the season to 3 games, some team would go 0 and 3, and they'd hold the "worst" record. All that said, ^ speaks volumes. They aren't just losing by a point or two, they're getting blown out.
4/24/2012 7:35:26 AM
Unbelievable.
4/24/2012 8:05:10 AM
If they land Anthony Davis, it'll all be worth it.If not... go ahead and dismantle the franchise.
4/24/2012 8:23:24 AM
4/24/2012 8:36:43 AM
I don't really know how the lottery works, but if it's true that a team as shiity as the Bobcats only has a 25% chance to land the first pick, then wtf.Gilchrist, Robinson ... really anyone in the first 10 picks would help this team. But holy shit they need Davis.
4/24/2012 9:24:25 AM
1st pick = 25% Davis!!!2nd pick = 21.5% MKG (!) or Robinson (oh no, we suck again)3rd pick = 17.8% MKG (!) or Robingson (oh no, we suck again)4th pick = 35.7% Barnes or Drummond (The nuclear option)
4/24/2012 10:19:50 AM
holy hell just when you think it can't get any worse!!!
4/24/2012 10:47:04 AM
now Larry Brown is slaughtering Jordan in the media hahahahahhaJordan has got to be almost suicidal, he's actually tarnishing his legacy as a player with this mess
4/25/2012 12:30:34 PM
on TNT tomorrow night in anticipation of record setting futility

4/25/2012 1:18:23 PM
yeah i'm like 99% going, national TV or not. last game, why not.trying to time it so that my friends and i leave and get back to someone's house to catch the panther's draft pick. should all work out swimmingly.
