I like evans therePs - i totally called a colston injury lile this early in the season 4 weeks ago (although i thought it would be knees)
9/9/2011 8:47:14 PM
^That's a crazy prediction considering he's never hurt.
9/9/2011 8:48:56 PM
It wasn't a prediction- it was a certainty... just like I said starks would be better than grant
9/9/2011 8:51:28 PM
he makes like 500 predictions every week to himself in front of the mirror
9/9/2011 8:53:39 PM
Daily affirmationsBut for real, grant, colston, ryan matthews, and 2 other guys were my definite do not touch players
9/9/2011 8:55:13 PM
Apparently I needed to indicate sarcasm from my last post. Didn't think it was necessary.
9/9/2011 8:58:40 PM
I bet you like touching football players dont you? you damn hippie!
9/9/2011 8:59:02 PM
I read your sarcasmMy statement was stating that it wasnt a hohum prediction, I 100% guaranteed it was going to happen
9/9/2011 9:01:28 PM
grant??? well arent you a fucking nostradamus
9/9/2011 9:08:16 PM

Bio, picked up any potential injury vibes on the likes of T.O. or Chad Pennington?

Got a trade here I'm not sure to accept the deal or not...Staters:QB - Philip RiversRB - Michael TurnerRB - Beanie WellsWR - Vincent JacksonWR - Brandon LloydTE - Zach MillerOP - Steve JohnsonD/ST - ChicagoK - Mason Crosby-----------------------------Bench:QB - Matt RyanRB - Brandon JacobsRB - James StarksRB - Ricky WilliamsWR - Santana MossWR - Lee EvansTE - Brent Celek----------------------------The Trade Offered:I get - QB - Kerry CollinsRB - Maurice Jones-DrewWR - Miles AustinTE - Kellen WinslowI give up - QB - Matt RyanRB - James StarksWR - Brandon LloydTE - Brent CelekI'm leaning toward no, with the thinking of keeping Ryan so my opposition cannot use him against me...thoughts?
9/10/2011 12:42:06 AM
unless you have Lloyd way higher than Austin (I dont) then do it.You will never start Ryan over P.Riv, MJD could be a top 5 RB, Austin could be a top 10 WR, and I fucking hate god damn Tom Celek
9/10/2011 12:44:43 AM
Yeah I would do it. The best part about having a great #2 qb is trade bait. It's not a slam dunk deal, but your team does improve.RiversMJDTurnerVJacksonMilesAustinThat is a sick lineup. ]
9/10/2011 12:48:08 AM
^^^how big is the league? If only 10 or 12 teams I'd definitely do that deal in a heart beat as you can use Collins or likely find a better replacement on the waiver wire if Rivers were to get injured.
9/10/2011 9:06:21 AM
May be over thinking here, but with all the injuries to the giants defense, would Tim Hightower be a better play than Michael Turner (Bears) this week?
9/10/2011 10:33:59 AM
^Im wondering the same thing though in your situation I would play Turner unless its PPR. The Falcons are a run first team and the Redskins will most likely have to abandon the run once they fall behind. Im expecting the Giants to run on the Redskins especially considering how poorly Eli played in the preseason. At the same time I expect the Giants to put up points and the Redskins have to play catchup. So my question is Hightower over Manningham in a PPR league?[Edited on September 10, 2011 at 9:18 PM. 9/10/2011 9:18:06 PM
I hope Santana Moss goes off tomorrow with a banged up Giants D and a questionable Chris Cooley
9/10/2011 9:32:16 PM
I'm still really debating Moreno vs a weak Oakland or Mendenhall vs a strong Baltimore- I'm currently starting mendenhall, but I'm really on the fence
9/11/2011 8:50:06 AM
Miles Austin isn't 100% and is going against the Jets.My two bench WRs are Hines Ward and Lee Evans (playing each other). Am I over thinking it to consider not playing Austin in favor of one of the other two?
9/11/2011 8:57:24 AM
^^ I'd go with Moreno.^ That matchup would make me nervous too. But more than likely Revis will be on Dez Bryant, as I believe the Jets like to man him up on the other teams #2 a lot to completely eliminate that threat. May be wrong as I'm not a jets fan, but I'd play him over Hines or Evans.Pick 2:Mike Wallace v BaltimoreReggie Wayne v HoustonBrandon Marshall v NE
9/11/2011 9:03:48 AM
^Wallace and Marshall. The Dolphins will be playing from behind all day and Marshall is finally 100%Need 3AP (of course)Ahmad Bradshaw (vs Was)Felix Jones (vs NYJ)Shonn Greene (vs Dal)Ben Tate (vs IND)I'm assuming its a toss up between Felix and Greene. However if Foster doesn't go does Tate become start worthy over any of the other guys?
9/11/2011 9:25:47 AM
^AP, Bradshaw, Greene unless Foster is out, then Tate instead of Greene.Pick 1:Big Ben @ Baltimore or Josh Freeman vs. Detroit?Pick 1:Percy Harvin @ San Diego, Chad OchoCinco @ Miami, Santonio Holmes vs. DallasRight now I have Freeman and Holmes starting.League 2:Pick 1Dez Bryant @ Jets or Steve Smith (car) @ Cardinals.[Edited on September 11, 2011 at 9:58 AM. Reason : .]
9/11/2011 9:36:12 AM
^Holmes if he plays, Harvin if he doesn't. Start Freeman with confidence. Dez over smitty. I don't trust Cam to have too many completions to WR, he will be checking down to TEs and RBs all day
9/11/2011 10:10:22 AM
^^I would take Freeman vs Detroit, and Holmes v Dallas.League 2: Tough Pick there, but I feel like Revis will be on Bryant the whole game, therefore choosing Steve Smith vs ZonaWith the news that Foster is unlikely to play today vs the Colts I feel like I must ask if I should start him over Michael Turner vs Chicago[Edited on September 11, 2011 at 10:11 AM. Turner is the man.Pick one:TolbertBeanie WellsThe law Firm.
9/11/2011 10:31:08 AM
Go with Beanie, the Panthers defense has been atrocious albeit in the preseason but still. Miami's defense is pretty stout and I think Brady will be throwing it to move the chains. Tolbert is a 50-50 timeshare guy.
9/11/2011 10:51:18 AM
Pick two from this muck with Foster (likely) out:WardTateStewartCollieLeaning toward J Stew and Ward at this point, but it all feels like a coin flip. 0.5 PPR league.
9/11/2011 11:17:14 AM
Tate StewartPick 1-MorenoMatthewsR. BushGreen-Ellis
9/11/2011 11:19:21 AM
^MorenoAddai @HouTolbert @MinH. Ward @BalW/R/T Flex. I have Austin Collie too, but he's Q.
9/11/2011 11:31:57 AM
^I would think Tolbert will score at least 1 TD.Ben Tate vs. ColtsorCedric Benson vs. Browns?
9/11/2011 11:34:19 AM
^ I would go with Benson because the bengals have a rookie qb and a rookie #1 wide receiver....Tate will be the #2 rb even with Foster outI don't know whether I should play Zach Miller (TE Sea) or AJ Green (WR Cin)....Zach Miller is projected to have more points according to yahoo but I hate to start any TE over a #1 receiver even though he is a rookie...both have bad QBs throwing to them
9/11/2011 11:44:55 AM
I would go with AJ Green since hes the #1 guy for Cincypick 1 - we get 1pt for every 20 return yardsJulio Jones @ ChicagoJacoby Ford @ Denveralso, pick 1Beanie Wells vs. CarolinaLegarrette Blount vs. det[Edited on September 11, 2011 at 11:51 AM. Reason : asdf]
9/11/2011 11:48:03 AM
^^^ you've gotta think Benson will get more carries while Tate is in a timeshare situation^ Ford is the #1 wideout in oakland....but we know julio is going to get some work. may be worth it to play Ford for the return yardage.& i don't trust Beanie.[Edited on September 11, 2011 at 11:52 AM. Gonzalez Atl TE @ChiorM Lewis Jac TE vsTen? Matt Ryan is a solid QB and Jacksonville just dropped their starting QB, but not sure about the teams they're playing against. I've asked about Gonzalez before w/ another option but his incredibly low proijected points worries me
9/11/2011 11:59:12 AM
My suggestion is to stop crowding bench space for a 2nd TE, but that's just me
9/11/2011 12:07:11 PM
^^^^ Could consider it a tossup but I would give the edge to Ford because last year Denver gave up 26 passing tds compared to Chicago's 14I would go with Blount over Wells because beanie is unproven but then again he could put up big numbers since he is the guy for Arizona now
9/11/2011 12:13:33 PM
^^^ If Roddy White is out for Atlanta I would for sure go with Gonzalez[Edited on September 11, 2011 at 12:20 PM. Reason : .]

FWIW, I'm reading in the NYC papers that Revis will be on Austin...

^ now that's some good info.. Thanks

(pick 1)Welker vs MIAAJ Green vs CLEJulio vs CHIreally want to play Green, but sense of safety makes me lean towards Welker]
9/11/2011 12:35:46 PM
Miami is on like a 7 year opening game losing streak, and Patriots are on a 8 year opening game winning streak. That and supposedly you don't start a rookie in his first NFL game everId say a choice between Welker or Julio, edge to Welker
9/11/2011 12:38:11 PM
ha just looked at footballguys.com's projections and they have those 3, out of all WRs, back to back to back in their ranking for today
9/11/2011 12:39:18 PM
laptop, tv, xm radio....I am ready
9/11/2011 12:40:59 PM
Didn't realize Julio was a rookie too lol. There's a chance his athleticism combined with playing opposite Roddy White could get him some play, as id imagine Chicago would focus on White and could let Julio slip a littleBetter play might be Welker, but I drafted Cam Newton for shits and giggles so what do I knowAlso I'm not seeing any news of Roddy white being out of the game[Edited on September 11, 2011 at 12:44 PM.
