^^^If the Suns play like they did against the Spurs, hell they'd probably need to play even better, but they might have a chance. It'll be a tough series for sure, but this Suns team does not seem to stop progressing. You also have to remember that as for height is concerned... Collins doesn't do shit, but Robin Lopez might be back. He was listed as being day-to-day during the Spurs series. If he can just scrape a few boards here and there, while having Amare attack the basket, they might have a chance.I definitely agree with the analysts when they say that Richardson is the team's thermometer, however the only time the Suns beat the Lakers this season (out of 4 games), Richardson only had 4 points. Amare needs to come up big and play wicked aggressive (as he has, averaging just over 20 points/game).[Edited on May 11, 2010 at 6:46 PM. Reason : Fucking arrows.]

wtf is happening, what a crappy yr, I had to watch that duke cakewalk to the title and now the lakers are on the same path
5/11/2010 10:26:20 PM
i'm calling out all of you fools that thought cleveland would run away with this series. you obviously weren't doing anything but looking at regular season records...don't make me pull out the quotes. I was the only one who thought boston had a chance even though it was clearly a tossup.

i think the fact that 99% of the human race hates him makes me <3 him that much more.go celts.
5/12/2010 9:37:10 AM
I think it is way overpresumptuous to be talking about the the conference finals right now, because Cleveland is far from out of this series. That being said, who matches up better against Orlando, and does either team have a legitimat shot at beating them?
5/12/2010 10:18:23 AM
Cleveland far from out of this series? I think I heard someone say that Bron already put up a For Sale sign in his yard.I for one am a Bron & Cleveland fan. I thought they would take Celts in 6, but watching this series I think the Cavs will be lucky to make it to a game 7. III
5/12/2010 10:29:46 AM
Really wasn't expecting that beat down last night.Lebron really isn't asserting himself. I never thought of him as the type of person to "check out"...but it sure does seem like that now.
5/12/2010 10:41:54 AM
so who thinks Lebron had a bad game last nightand who thinks he was intentionally not shooting or trying in an effort to evaluate how good his teammates were, and trying to see if he wanted to stay with this core for the next few years or go play somewhere elsea lot of people are saying Lebron is gone, regardless of if Cleveland wins it all
5/12/2010 12:34:39 PM
5/12/2010 12:49:39 PM
^ I agree III
5/12/2010 1:30:21 PM
I think a lot of people forget how dominating the Celtics were two years ago. They had an amazing defense, which pretty much won them the championship. Sure, they aren't built for the regular season and the beatings your body takes between games and practice. Three of their four stars are well past their prime. But like I said before, you have almost the exact same team that won the NBA championship just two years ago. Defense wins championships, and as amazing as Lebron is, a great defense will beat a great offense (or a great player) almost every time.
5/12/2010 1:37:57 PM
^^^Kobe did it a couple times in years past, why so retarded to think Lebron might be doing it as wellHe has some big decisions to make after this season, like where he wants to play...and whether or not he stays in Cleveland should probably have a lot to do with the other players in Cleveland like Williams and Jamison and whether or not he thinks he wants them as potentially long term teammatesI don't even really think thats what he was doing, I don't know what the hell he was doing, but I don't think the idea is so ludicrous, just throwing it out there]
5/12/2010 1:46:10 PM
its unreasonable to expect lebron to perform at an amazingly high level night after night. Thats why I proclaimed the cavs were simply an overated team built for the regular season. When you start playing great teams every night and rely on one guy, that guy wears down eventually.
5/12/2010 2:03:13 PM
i'd at least expect him to take more than 3 field goals in the first half
5/12/2010 2:10:36 PM
I think there are two things that explain why the Celtics are playing so well right now (or as well as they did when they won a couple years ago):1) Rondo playing like an elite level point guard, and2) Ray Allen lighting it up.Two years ago Rondo was playing above average, but it was all they needed. Garnett wasn't as good as he was in his younger years, but his defense was stellar and he was still playing like one of the top PFs in the game. Pierce was still very close to his peak and was playing as one of the top scorers in the game as well as a good defensive stopper. Allen was playing just okay...but because of the Garnett, Pierce, and the rest of the role players on the team, he didn't have to play as well as he did in his prime.Fast forward to this year. Garnett has had a pretty decent drop-off. He's playing okay in this series, but he's not nearly the force he was in his prime, much less a couple years ago. Pierce has had a pretty big drop-off as well. He's had an okay year, but up until Game 5, he has had a horrible series. Even game 5 was under 50% shooting again. You have Rondo playing awesome, which has gotten them back to the 2nd round, but they still struggled in the 2nd half of the year and only won convincingly when he was playing out of this world. But when Ray Allen is hot...it picks up the Pierce and Garnett slack. He has been automatic when you leave him open...which happens a lot with Rondo's drives and defenses keying in on Pierce (nobody doubles Garnett anymore). But they lose when he doesn't hit those open shots. But they win big when he hits the open shots and the extremely contested ones. He's playing much better now then he did 2 years ago.I think the bench from this year is a wash compared to the bench from a couple years ago. Some players are the same, some are different...but they all fit in and put forth some production when needed...but at the same time don't determine the outcome of the game (like the Suns' bench can).
5/12/2010 2:19:22 PM
5/12/2010 2:21:36 PM
he did it once on a team that went on to win the title...Shaq was on the team...Kobe got criticized for taking too many shots so he basically said to himself, "you think I shoot too much? ok lets see how you do without me" and he took 1 shot during the entire first half the next game, and it was a completely wide open look...he was trying to make a pointhe did it another time in the post-Shaq pre-Gasol years, when he didn't think they had a chance at winning the title with teammates like Smush Parker and Chris Mihm...in that case it seemed to be "i can't win with this group, look how bad they suck without me"and maybe Lebron doesn't think he has a good chance of winning the championship with this team...even if he thinks they can come back and beat Boston, who is to say he thinks they can beat Orlando? had he not hit a miracle fadeaway 3 pointer last year, Orlando would've swept Clevelandi don't know whats going on in Lebron's head, but theres something going on in his headand look at these post game comments from Lebron...unreal

my boss' dad asked me if i watched the game last nighthe says, "i don't like cleveland. you know why? that Lebaron James."haha he called him out for walking off the court after losing last yeari didn't have the heart to correct him, he's an old man and makes me laugh

Sheed is an idiot. They need to T him up more often. I cant stand players that whine and backtalk ref's.Lebron really doesnt have that great of a cast around him.And Rondo gets away with more travels than most of the people in the NBA.[Edited on May 13, 2010 at 8:59 PM. Reason : g]

^yeah, some of the crap the cavs run on offense makes me at mike brown, but to be fair....they got lebron and not a single other consistent scorer. the wide open shots cleveland has missed have been
5/13/2010 9:03:20 PM
lol they blew the whistle before Shaq hacked him... I mean.. He fouled Perkins.. but they blew the whistle early.
5/13/2010 9:10:36 PM
i dono... does the league want lebron to leave cleveland? looks that way...the refs have been atrocious the past couple games.i kid. sort of.
5/13/2010 9:13:26 PM
I've said many times Mike Brown got lucky. He is a terrible coach...he just sounds clueless and dumb. the Celtics and Lakers are so deeeeeeeeeep...its ridiculous.the Cavs need to play Z and Anderson more.
5/13/2010 9:16:39 PM
I dont watch hardly ANY NBA. In fact this is the most I've watched in 2 years. But.. I would think a championship in a town that hasn't won shit in 50 years would be a HUGE marketable item for the NBA. I mean if the Cavs won a championship with Lebron he would be a fucking hero. And with the 24/7 media that exists today you dont have to be in LA or NY to be a huge star. I can't pin down the problem with Lebron this series but if he's tanking it so he can use the excuse.. I cant win in Cleavland so I have to leave then he loses a TON of respect from the average fan. If he's legitimately hurt he needs act hurt instead of disinterested.[Edited on May 13, 2010 at 9:20 PM. Reason : f]

5/13/2010 9:26:39 PM
I dont think its that Lebron has anything wrong...its the fact that no one else is playing well. Finally Mo is playing well but...Lebron cant do it all.Its well documented you have to have a great supporting cast to win a championship...and I dont think Lebron nor Howard have that.they have good pieces but not the whole great cast.
5/13/2010 9:31:19 PM
Cavs and Magic by far have the best all around teams in the league. The problem is knowing how to coach all that talent. Lakers don't have that problem since it's the starting 5 (I'd take Mo Williams over Fisher any day btw) and garbage coming off the bench - Odom.
5/13/2010 9:37:59 PM
I think the Cavs problem is they haven't won shit so the regular season means something to them. They played their asses off during the regular season trying to prove something. The Lakers/Spurs/Celtics have all won championships recently and know what the grind is. So they were on cruise control during the regular season. Once the post season started they flipped the switch. Now the Cavs are running into teams that are actually playing D, where as in the regular season teams weren't as intense. They cant handle it. They dont know how to win.
5/13/2010 9:41:29 PM
Lebron really does play by the MJ rules. He murders people on one end and gets away with it and then creates contact himself on nearly every drive and gets the calls.
5/13/2010 9:45:18 PM
in this series, jamison offers NOTHING that varejao can't offer. heck, even hickson.
5/13/2010 9:50:28 PM
I love it when people try to get big on Shaqhe is my fav. player of the decade no doubt personality wise.by Dwade is my guy when it comes to skill

holy crap mike brown is a dadgom idiot. no way jamison should be playing this much. he's terrible.[Edited on May 13, 2010 at 10:04 PM. Reason : ahha, well jamison does offer the effort to play through some blood at least. wow varejao wow.]
5/13/2010 9:58:28 PM
Yea, Anderson or Z need to stay in all game. one of the two at all times.
5/13/2010 10:00:44 PM
