I think Michael Rappaport and his character / angle just didn't pan out, to the point it brought down the entire season. Ava in prison wasn't that great either. But, still much better than most of everything that's on TV. Next season will be epic me thinks. My guess is Boyd pulls Winona and baby into it near the end out of desperation and that gives Raylan the final push to knock him off. But the writers know we love Boyd as much as we do Raylan so I think they'll be playing Boyd as a tragic character all the way to the end. Hell, you kinda feel sorry for him already knowing Ava is going to stab him in the back.

^^Yeah Rappaport as a big bad was a complete bust. He wasn't threatening at all, just comical. Still love the show, but probably won't re-watch this season.

Yeah they are doing a good job pulling all these characters back in for a logical reason. I also am glad we got resolution as to why they are buying the property, and it was at least semi-interesting/topical.

I wonder if the one armed bandit will show up at some point, he was never confirmed dead was he?

and who didn't see that mineshaft coming for Boyd? I was actually a little insulted that they came back and flat out revealed it was sabotage since it was clear enough the first time. and Mr Handsome had to die to "expose" it.

without spoiling the next episode, the look on Boyd's face at the end makes it seem like end times for Ava Crowder. and is that gonna make Raylan move to the top of the hit list?

Loved the episode...I did find it a little stupid that all 4 of those guys are able to get away from two dead-shot US Marshals with their guns drawn

Yea I just chalked it up to the mercs being soldiers and probably being more dangerous than your average criminal. Meanwhile Tim is a crackshot, but usually at range with a sniper rifle, and the fact that Choo Choo soaked up quite a few of the shots and kept being a threat, so they didn't get to focus so much on the other guys.

Either way with them having shot at Marshals, shit is going to get real now.

The way Boyd was celebrating and the way Markham had that sly smile on his face, I really thought there was going to be a bomb or something at the bottom of the bag... After all, Boyd only looked at the cash on top.

I definitely wasn't expecting Ava to shoot him.

I still think there's something in those bags that Ava won't like...a tracking device, fake money, something. it can't be 10 million dollars.

and Raylan is extra screwed. he tipped Ava off and spawned her escape, so he can't bring her in alive. I'm sure she knows this. and she shot Boyd not to kill, so she has to know he will find a way to come after her too.

I do have a suspicion, though, that she'll wind winning because of all these odds against her. I can't see Raylan dead, or in jail, but I can certainly see him drummed out of the Marshals.

There's definitely not 10mm in those bags. Marcum already knew that Hale was working against him, why would he pay 10mm to save her?

I don't think there is anything else in those bags, and I do think its the 10 million.

However, I hope hope hope I am wrong. Marcum to this point has been a pretty weak villain. Maybe he was never intended to be, and was just here to show yet again, outsiders in Harlan can't win. I hope he has a trick or two up his sleeve still.

Also, how is this thread only 12 pages with 3 episodes to go. This is probably going to go down in my top 5 shows all time, it needs to be more popular.

I won't argue with people who talk about The Wire and Breaking Bad being the best shows...but this is by far my most FAVORITE show. Other shows might be written or shot better, but there's nothing out there I look forward to as much as Justified

Last night I was thinking there was only going to be 1 episode left for some reason and I got depressed for 10 seconds until I looked it up and saw there were 3 left. But when this ends there's definitely going to be a hole in my life.

I really hope whatever Olyphant does next is good. If ends up in some shitty role I'm going to be pretty upset I think...between this and Deadwood he might have set too high a bar for me though
