1st off, calm down. It's only week one.Secondly, FUCK YEAH, RODGERS TO JENNINGS FOR THE BOMB! Rockets me ahead of the other best team in the league (from a roster standpoint) with me only having SD's Defense.
9/13/2009 11:41:52 PM
I'm gonna have to toot my own horn real quick like161.16 points in my 12 team non-PPR leagueMcNabb 21.86Wayne 22.20Jennings 18.60ADP 37.80JJ 19.60Gonzo 13.30Eddie Royal 1.80 Rackers 12.00Packers Defense 14.00
9/13/2009 11:48:38 PM
aaron rodgers looks like The Comedian
9/13/2009 11:50:05 PM
^^ how in the hell did you get that in a 12 team draft
9/13/2009 11:53:26 PM
about 6 teams auto draftedgotta love round 9 when all the auto draft teams pick kickers, and i pick Julius Jones[Edited on September 13, 2009 at 11:57 PM. Reason : .]
9/13/2009 11:54:24 PM
bah. you cant brag about a league where there is no competition
9/14/2009 1:26:04 AM
if there was a "if it weren't for drew brees i would have lost my fantasy week" group on facebook, i'd join it.
9/14/2009 8:16:50 AM
I have Brady and Kaeding vs his Rivers and Gostkowski. I'm down 22 points (Mostly thanks to Willie Parker and Greg Olson). However - We are playing in a bizarro league where passing yards are 10 for 1 point and all tds are 7... so I have a shot at it. Brees was worth 75 points or something yesterday.
9/14/2009 8:25:29 AM
at work, i'm up 4 with his tiny darren left to play.all my high octane dudes blew ass (mike turner i'm looking at you)
9/14/2009 8:27:47 AM
I was down about 20 points going into my match-up last night, with Jennings and the Packers D/ST left to play. Thank you Jay Cutler for granting my D extra points and Aaron Rodgers for hitting Jennings on that late TD to give me the W.But screw you Fasano for your big -2.
9/14/2009 8:52:40 AM
I scored 145 points in my 12-man league, have a 63 point buffer against my opponent, all he has is Rivers left to play. Brees with 48 points, Holmes had 19, Giants DST had 19, it was a solid day =)
9/14/2009 8:55:59 AM
down about 88 to 71 in my PPR league...he has Zach Miller left, I have Antonio Gates and San Diego's defense...I like my chances
9/14/2009 10:47:13 AM
ok so I need to make a decision about my backup receiversright now, I have the following on my bench:Ted Ginn JrChansi StuckeyDevin HesterHester isn't going anywhere, obviously. Ginn Jr makes me a little nervous though.Patrick Crayton is still available and I have a feeling that Romo is going to target him more this year than he did last year. Also Devery Henderson is available too. Should I make a move? If so, who should I add?
9/14/2009 10:48:56 AM
Advice thread...not a "I have X points and my opponent has Y points and I still have Brady"Don't talk about your team just for shits and giggles...we know you care about your precious team, but NO ONE else cares.
9/14/2009 10:49:50 AM
please answer the question posted above you if you are going to participate in this threadbitching about what everyone else is posting is just as pointless as discussing your remaining available points[Edited on September 14, 2009 at 10:55 AM. Reason : ..]
9/14/2009 10:54:47 AM
^^ calm down. It's week one of the season. Going forward, we certainly want it that way, but people are excited and want to share. It's kinda like an AA meeting. Nobody cares that YOU are a drunk and trying to get help, only that I am the drunk that needs help. But if you can't vent here, where else could you? [Edited on September 14, 2009 at 10:56 AM. Reason : asdf]
9/14/2009 10:56:36 AM
I personally don't care what people discuss in this thread as long as they at least "try" to follow the questions that get posted.
9/14/2009 10:57:42 AM
I'd drop Ginn Jr. for Crayton in a heartbeat. I kept Ginn all last year thinking that pennington would start throwing to him, but it never happened. He is a longball guy playing with a QB who has a weak arm.I'm going to deploy my new FF strategy. Start whatever defense is playing against Delhomme on a given week. I think it should be good for at least 25-30 points a week no?
9/14/2009 11:04:22 AM
but how much longer is Delhomme even going to be starting/playing
9/14/2009 11:06:38 AM
That is a weakness in my plan, but McCown is no stranger to retarded interceptions either. My plan could work if the Panthers trot out a steady stream of interception machines for the next few weeks at least.
9/14/2009 11:12:38 AM
haha Carolina's mgmt is so fucking stupid[Edited on September 14, 2009 at 11:13 AM. Reason : and all the damn radio hosts were riding the "Delhomme is not a bad player" train until yesterday][Edited on September 14, 2009 at 11:14 AM. Reason : ..]
9/14/2009 11:12:54 AM
up until the Cardinals game last year, he wasn't a bad playerbut anyway there are many threads focusing on Jake and the Panthersback to fantasy, supposedly Anthony Gonzalez could miss the next 2-6 weeks
9/14/2009 11:14:29 AM
he wasnt a good player eitherhe has never been a good playerhe is average at best and is NOT a franchise quarterback as he has been portrayed to be by somebut yes, btttAnyone think McCoy will be good this year?
9/14/2009 11:28:14 AM
I probably had the worst fantasy week in my life. Some of my performances:Andre Johnson - 3 ptsSantana Moss - 0.6 ptsSteve Slaton - 3.2 ptsJosh Brown - 0 ptsI'm behind in all 4 of my leagues. My main league I'll catch up and win as long as Rivers gets 14 points vs the Raiders.Another league I'll need Brady to throw like 5 TD's and Vincent Jackson to catch like 3.
9/14/2009 11:48:35 AM
Slaton also burned me but I will survive
9/14/2009 12:03:43 PM
For those with the Bears D/ST and for teams facing the Bears this year:Urlacher out for season.Big blow to that D.
9/14/2009 12:11:09 PM
It is a big blow, though I was surprised to see them continue to play very well in the 2nd half against a great offense with him out. They will be hurt by this, but by no means crushed. They've got some depth on D.
9/14/2009 12:49:50 PM
who would you take right nowGinn Jr or Patrick Crayton?
9/14/2009 1:12:39 PM
crayton hands down
9/14/2009 1:24:19 PM
after week 1, Crayton.
9/14/2009 1:24:22 PM
somebody dropped Antonio Bryant and picked up Justin Gage lolSo I proceeded to drop Chris Henry and pick up Bryantnow my WRs are Wayne, Jennings, Bryant, Royal and Hester
9/14/2009 1:25:54 PM
billyboy, wherever you are... my bad (start Parker over Williams) ^^^^ I'd pick Crayton check this:WRBoldinLance MooreRoy WilliamsDwayne BoweI see Crayton and Manningham are listed as FA's in my league... should I pull the trigger on one and let someone go? Who would you go with?RE: Urlacher out... heard there were some talks going on with Derek Brooks FWIW[Edited on September 14, 2009 at 1:55 PM. Reason : Bears news]
9/14/2009 1:49:22 PM
Any reason to hold on to Mike Bell for now? My league has a small bench, and I really need every spot for WRs.
9/14/2009 1:49:25 PM
^ you mean, other than this?
9/14/2009 1:57:50 PM
there's no way well is the starter once Pierre Thomas gets healthy. That story was run in a newspaper as a stir-up controversy piece. Heather Dinich might as well have written it...
9/14/2009 2:08:55 PM
should i cut Slaton?
9/14/2009 2:11:24 PM
^haha, yes. Especially in leagues where I am in them with you.Cut him immediately in those cases.
9/14/2009 2:13:29 PM
i wouldnt give up on Slaton just yet. He will get some numbers when Houston's offense gets moving again.
9/14/2009 2:23:25 PM
9/14/2009 3:12:42 PM
wow. this thread was dead wrong about Shiancoe v. Cooley. Cooley caught a TD, Shiancoe did not.FML
9/14/2009 3:45:42 PM
Chansi Stuckey or Devery Hendersonwho would you take long term?
9/14/2009 4:45:44 PM
Two big players of mine put up very few points: Steve Smith and Michael Turner.Should I be worried about either of these or will numbers improve? (Damn you Jake!)
9/14/2009 4:46:47 PM
^^I'd say Henderson^I wouldn't worry...even when Steve has had bad QB play (like, David Carr and Vinny Testaverde and shit) he still got like 80+ catches and I think 950 yards and a number of scores
9/14/2009 4:48:20 PM
9/14/2009 4:51:39 PM
Pierre Thomas and Antonio Bryant aren't exactly "big names" to the average fan...not like REGGIE BUSH or...can't think of a bigger named WR on Tampa...but yeah this is the time to pay close attention to your league's adds and drops...ANDRE JOHNSON HAD A BAD GAME, LEMME DROP HIM FOR MARIO MANNINGHAM
9/14/2009 4:55:26 PM
Jeff Garcia has signed with the Eagles. Not really sure of the significance, just thought I'd pass it along
9/14/2009 4:59:54 PM
^link?
9/14/2009 5:01:26 PM
^ sorry man they Schefter just reported it on Monday Night Countdown, so I don't have a link
9/14/2009 5:09:26 PM
cool, just found one http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4472548They must either think McNabb's injury is serious and/or not have much faith in Mike Vick to start in week 3
