Where'd they put the trophy they got for getting blown out in their only playoff game?
4/23/2009 8:44:53 PM
you have to make the playoffs to have a chance to win a playoff gameand given all the tiebreaker scenarios, we might've missed the playoffs had we not gone into Lambeau and won]
4/23/2009 8:45:44 PM
Yeah, I guess they had a chance right before Delhomme threw his ninth interception.
4/23/2009 8:46:50 PM
Now he only needs to throw 745 more INTs to tie Favre's NFL record
4/23/2009 8:50:32 PM
There are plenty of records and accolades held by Favre that Delhomme is miles away from.
4/23/2009 8:51:40 PM
Yeah Jake needs a whole 1 Super Bowl win to tie Favre's massive total
4/23/2009 8:52:31 PM
if i were julius peppers i wouldnt want to play on a team with delhomme as the qb either
4/23/2009 8:53:13 PM
4/23/2009 8:53:57 PM
^^i dont necessarily disagree with thatof course Peppers isnt exactly an ideal teammateat least Jake cares about playing footballwhen Jake throws a pick, its cause he makes a bad decision or throw, not cause he takes plays off and doesn't care about footballhalf the time Peppers has as much interest in the Panthers succeeding as...you do[Edited on April 23, 2009 at 9:01 PM. 4/23/2009 8:58:07 PM
dnl are you supposed to be a panthers fan
4/23/2009 8:59:08 PM
i am...according to you i only have to wait til 2014 to rebuild
4/23/2009 9:01:38 PM
thats why people should cheer for sports teams...not to wish them success and enjoy the success they do have...but to look forward to rebuilding the entire teami for one hope we also cut our shitty young running backs and offensive linemen...and lets rebuild our linebacker corps, they suck![Edited on April 23, 2009 at 9:03 PM. Reason : .]
4/23/2009 9:02:41 PM
i mean i wish them the best but lets be realistic here lol
4/23/2009 9:03:13 PM
being realistic would be predicting us to go 9-7 this year...you're making it sound like by keeping the same personnel that led us to a 12-4 record and division title last year, we are doomed to fail...that the entire team should be completely revamped90% of the NFL would love to have had the success we did last year, but not you[Edited on April 23, 2009 at 9:05 PM. Reason : .]
4/23/2009 9:04:45 PM
9-7 is being optimistic imo
4/23/2009 9:05:49 PM
based on what? based on the fact that every team is supposed to go 8-8?
4/23/2009 9:06:44 PM
call it a hunch
4/23/2009 9:08:42 PM
I only say 9-7 is realistic because the league is designed for everybody to go 8-8, and we have a better running game than most teams in the league. I think, barring injuries, that should be good enough for at least 1 game better than 8-8of course obviously i need to see what transpires during the draft this weekend, trying to predict records before that is foolish
4/23/2009 9:15:21 PM
Welcome Everette Brownbut, goodbye whoever next year's #1 would have beenthere's no way we dont get a #1 pick for next year at some point though
4/25/2009 8:33:21 PM
that is a head scratcher don't know what they are thinking
4/25/2009 8:35:43 PM
They are thinking that they will franchise Peppers again next year, and after they called his bluff this year he will know they are serious, and sign his tender so they can work out a trade to get a first round pick.
4/25/2009 8:39:27 PM
I like the Panthers and all, but I'm a 49er fan first, so I hope the Panthers lose a lot of games.
4/25/2009 8:51:08 PM
given their schedule, looks like you could get your wish
4/25/2009 8:51:58 PM
its gonna be a long year
4/25/2009 8:58:39 PM
.i was really hoping we would have dealt peppers to the patriots for all their 2nd round picks and a later round pick.......don't have to pay any first round money and you gain a lot of quality depth. not really even sure if thats possible but it was a nice thought.guess we'll have to wait and see how this pans out[Edited on April 25, 2009 at 9:05 PM. i thought everette brown was a great pickup. hopefully he'll continue off his college production
4/26/2009 6:39:45 AM
considering that Everette Brown was rated between 10-20 on the board by a lot of folks, giving up next years first for him plus another pick does make a lot of sense.i can't believe we got him

Welcome Corvey Irvin, DT from UGA[Edited on April 26, 2009 at 12:00 PM. Reason : corvey, not corey]
4/26/2009 11:51:50 AM
i like the pick. from what i read, they said don't expect much this year, but he could be a special one down the road. good size and pretty good quicknesswith charles johnson already on the line, that's two bulldogs.
4/26/2009 11:59:07 AM
and thomas davis behind them
4/26/2009 12:00:53 PM
and john kasay, as well
4/26/2009 12:16:11 PM

4/26/2009 12:22:31 PM
Welcome Mike Goodson, RB Texas A&M
4/26/2009 12:50:43 PM
panthers need a running back why?
4/26/2009 1:05:57 PM
maybe he will be a return man
4/26/2009 1:07:46 PM
^^to replace Nick Goings.
4/26/2009 1:09:06 PM
double troubleTRIPLE THREAT?
4/26/2009 1:11:38 PM
we need backups for the OL badly....if one of our starters goes down..we have no depth, figured the 2 4th rounders would go for OL.....oh well....[Edited on April 26, 2009 at 1:21 PM. Reason : w]

4/26/2009 1:38:24 PM
when is our next pick
4/26/2009 1:40:20 PM
what the hell, we could pick him up in the 6th round. Brad Hoover wasn't even drafted.
4/26/2009 1:42:26 PM
two more picks on the board(5th) 163(6th) 202
4/26/2009 1:42:34 PM
