Dec 26th would have been much better for me, oh well
12/7/2008 10:45:27 AM
im hoping for birmingham. Me and two friends have already said we would make the drive if its in birmingham. Anywhere else and we would pretty much be out(for various reasons). I wouldnt mind spending the 28th and 29th in Alabama.
12/7/2008 10:56:55 AM
are we really going to have to wait until tonight to know... if so, that sucks
12/7/2008 10:58:57 AM
this is the first time in history that anyone has been excited about going to alabama
12/7/2008 11:19:27 AM

8PM is for the BCS bowls...the rest of them will just be announced whenever anythings official. If they really wanted to save this stuff for the selection show, we wouldnt already know Clemson to the Gator, GT to the Peach, etc...
12/7/2008 12:06:48 PM
^ESPN is on from 8-11 with ALL BOWLS
12/7/2008 12:19:08 PM
^Yeah, but we will know before then.SFN says we are going to Birmingham...not official obviously, but looks like thats the case: http://www.statefansnation.com/index.php/archives/2008/12/07/birmingham-bowl-wants-pack/[Edited on December 7, 2008 at 12:43 PM. Reason : -]

^so does WRAL
12/7/2008 1:20:45 PM
should prolly hear something by 3..........Papa John's is the one it seems like
12/7/2008 1:22:05 PM
If it's true then this would be a big game for recruiting purposes. As you've seen this staff recruits the Northeast fairly often. If a kid (like that TE Paul Carrezola that chose Rutgers over us) is being recruited by both us and Rutgers then a win by us over them is something we can point to to show them that we are the better program. The staff will continue to run into kids being recruited by Rutgers when they go up to Maryland, Pennsylvania, NY, NJ, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Delaware.[Edited on December 7, 2008 at 1:47 PM. will be a hard fought game. they are coming on strong.
12/7/2008 2:32:45 PM
according to a guy on the team, I'll just say a WR, they have been told Birmingham it is...looks like we will be at the Papajohns.com bowl as has been projected.i will note that this guy has been known to not be the smartest kid on the team though...so theres really no telling...but i figured id at least say that its been floating around.[Edited on December 7, 2008 at 3:30 PM. 12/7/2008 3:27:23 PM
state will not beat rutgers
12/7/2008 3:39:51 PM
ncst will clearly beat rutgers, clearly
12/7/2008 3:40:28 PM
teal will burn our secondary alive.
12/7/2008 3:44:19 PM
According to my source on the team, I'll just say TOB, we have jumped Oklahoma in the standings and will be playing Florida in the championship game.
12/7/2008 3:44:26 PM
RAWR RAWR RAWR this NC state team will beat Florida RAWL RAWL RAWL
12/7/2008 3:47:52 PM
^ by four touchdowns too
12/7/2008 3:50:28 PM
I really didn't want to play rutgers but we're probably a good match-up since we're both coming in on win streakslook at the points scored and margin of victory during the streakOctober 18 Connecticut W 12-10 2-5 (1-2)October 25 at No. 17 Pittsburgh W 54-34 3-5 (2-2)November 8 Syracuse W 35-17 4-5 (3-2)November 15 at South Florida W 49-16 5-5 (4-2)November 22 Army W 30-3 6-5 (4-2)December 4 Louisville W 63-14 7-5 (5-2)we definitely can't win an offensive battle with them, so our defense is going to have to step up if we want a chance to win
12/7/2008 3:50:39 PM
i mean, it will probably be the best game in the "history" of the papajohns bowl, and will be hella fun to watchbut rutgers has been straight beastly over the last 5 or 6 games of the seasoni mean, i know state has been winning, but rutgers has been absurdthey've outscored their last 5 opponents 231-84...
12/7/2008 3:52:55 PM
I'm very excited about this game, what a great test for our program. Would be uber sweet to win, I think it would be a tremendous stride for our program. But it is still nearly month away, so there is no telling what the fuck is going happen once the clock starts.
12/7/2008 3:56:17 PM
TOB is 7-1 in bowl games with 7 straight wins. He has a streak on the line.
12/7/2008 4:00:15 PM
how much time do teams get to practice for bowls?
12/7/2008 4:06:03 PM
i think all teams get 15 days of practice. can use them whenever.
12/7/2008 4:11:37 PM
FUCKIN ANNOUNCE SOMETHING ALREADY mother of godFUCK papajohns, we only get a share of 300k compared to nearly 3 times that for the independence bowl wtf
12/7/2008 4:25:33 PM
I like how people who don't know shit about college football (esp. NC State) were trying to tell me there was a great chance we would not go to a bowl (this was on Friday afternoon). I'm pretty sure they were full of shit, but was there really any chance we would not get a bowl?
12/7/2008 4:27:28 PM
haha yea there were 72 bowl eligbible teams wiht only 68 bids or somethingbut we are the most attractive 6-6 team out there compared with the other 4 -5 or
12/7/2008 4:30:25 PM
according to SFN...http://www.statefansnation.com/index.php/archives/2008/12/07/birmingham-bowl-wants-pack/They can't make an announcement because the Champs Bowl is abiding by "the rules" and waiting to announce their selection at 8 i guess, rather than piss the ACC off like every other bowl did by announcing early....So even though we all know we're going to Alabama, it won't be "official" till Champs makes their obvious decision.
12/7/2008 4:33:03 PM
some of you sound like a bunch of fuckin' pussies. It's Rutgers not Oklahoma. Look what UNC did to them!!!
12/7/2008 5:40:53 PM
i hear we might be in line for a trip to the rose bowl...
12/7/2008 5:46:07 PM
^^ that was the first half of the season....look what Rutgers did to South Florida just last month.http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=283200058Rutgers 49, South Florida 16[Edited on December 7, 2008 at 5:54 PM. 12/7/2008 6:08:59 PM

12/7/2008 6:22:34 PM
cool picture with the article
12/7/2008 6:25:56 PM
state could come through the velvet ropes and we could have big ass bouncer guys shake their heads and say no to the other team coming on the field, make em wait a while
12/7/2008 6:26:56 PM
Rutgers is playing really well if that is who our opponent will turn out to be.
12/7/2008 7:03:48 PM
Me and atleast 2-3 others are headin down on the 28th. Bout to book the hotel....just waitin for the tickets to come out.
12/7/2008 7:06:57 PM
yeah we are talking about making the trip as well. I'll probably look into hotels beginning tomorrow.
12/7/2008 7:08:29 PM
btw, have you guys looked at those Wolfpack Club packages they have set up over on pack pride????Fucking ridiculous. An air package for $900.00+ per person and a ground, travel yourself package for $400.00+ per person.
12/7/2008 7:09:34 PM

12/7/2008 7:13:25 PM

so how to get tickets???My roommate told me for the Charlotte bowl a few years back, that students could get tickets off of the student ticket website for cheaper. Will that be an option this year, or should i just order tickets off of gopack?
12/7/2008 7:32:11 PM
I do not think we can beat Rutgers. If we do somehow beat them, it will be a slugfest.
12/7/2008 7:34:55 PM
Article on GoPack says student tickets will be $20 and tickets for everyone else are $40.
