Double fuck with Trent Johnson up 12 at the half (COY?)... Although a Stanford win would help ASU
3/7/2008 12:05:51 AM
The Beavers completed the dream. 0-18.ASU is a lock with 1 Pac-10 tourney win you would think... 9-9 in that conference this year is like 8-8 in the ACC most years... Plus they have 5 top 20 RPI wins.
3/8/2008 8:26:25 PM
USC in the first roundsplit the season series with them. it's Harden vs. Mayo IIItoo bad it's a home game for the Trojans
3/9/2008 5:12:10 PM
TKE, this is absolutely NOT a home game for U$C. The UCLA game follows immediately after the ASU/U$C game. There will be a 2x as many UCLA fans at Staples than U$C fans. They will be there early to cheer against the Condoms.
3/10/2008 9:08:05 AM
lets hope sothe Sun Devils will need all the help they can get in this game
3/10/2008 11:15:37 AM
Same thing happened two years ago. I was there for the first game (U$C vs. Cal). UCLA played right after. Right before halftime, Staples was packed with Bruins fans who cheered Cal the entire second half. U$C was up at halftime and lost by at least 15.Think UNC playing almost any ACC team right before a State tourney game. ASU will have plenty of supporters round 1.I doubt there will be more than 8,000 people for game 1. I can almost guarantee that Staples will be filled with Bruin fans by halftime.[Edited on March 10, 2008 at 12:14 PM. Reason : .]

Not good for Sendek... Gonzaga just lost and that takes up another spot...[Edited on March 10, 2008 at 10:05 PM. Reason : might be a "must win" against sc]
3/10/2008 10:05:03 PM
that does sucki don't think i'd ever cheered for Gonzaga so hard in my life
3/10/2008 10:07:56 PM
Harden made 1st team PAC-10 and All-Freshman Team.Trent Johnson COY Gotta beat SC I think
3/11/2008 9:23:58 AM
yep, it's a must winfirst go-round USC shot 27 FTs to ASU's 13...second game, ASU shot 39 to their 11so that should be the story line. if the Devils take it to the rack and the Trojans rely on outside shooting, it should end up like the 2nd game.
3/11/2008 9:42:46 AM
I highly doubt you see the same sort of free throw differential this time around. I expect USC to win this one.
3/11/2008 10:06:19 AM
Fucking Wildcats get OSU after having a worse conference record and getting beat by ASU twice.
3/11/2008 10:18:17 AM
does RPI take the conference tourney into account?not that it really matters, because UofA is top-25 in RPI and #2 SOS, but playing OSU twice in their last 3 games can't help too much
3/11/2008 10:20:22 AM
Not sure on that one. It would be nice to OSU get up for one freaking game. If ASU loses and UA wins, UA is def. in over them. PAC-10 will def. get 5, will probably get 6, outside chance of getting 7 (Oregon/ASU/UA) all win first round.
3/11/2008 11:09:35 AM
State wins the ACC and Sendek stays home after a great season. How ironic would that be
3/11/2008 11:15:41 AM
3/11/2008 11:31:33 AM
if you're going to call out someone on vocabulary, please be right about it.
3/11/2008 2:41:16 PM
is that the wrong definition?
3/11/2008 6:22:56 PM
yes, the irony would be those of us expecting the experts to know what they are talking about, or also the expected result of State to perform well in the ACC tournament enough to make it into the NCAA after what is now expected of them, and how experts have ASU in the tourney and if they didn't make it. Stop being a dick, you fucking ball-licking cockface. It wouldn't be what you expected if State (NC) made it and AZ State didn't.
3/12/2008 1:39:22 AM
I dont know what kind of gay shit just happened above, but it would be fucking awesome if we won the ACC tourney and knocked ASU out

Is it true they are the leaders for the #1 SF in the '09 class? They mentioned that on the radio this morning. The kid played at Artesia with Glasser & Harden... I can't remember his name.
3/12/2008 1:28:01 PM
Gotta be Renardo Sidney, whole PAC 10 wants him and he's from LA.
3/12/2008 1:38:57 PM
HERB'S KEEPING HIS PLAYERS!
3/12/2008 2:00:14 PM
FSN AZ3pm ETi'll be watching State-Miami til it becomes a blowout, then watching Devils-Trojans
3/13/2008 9:17:26 AM
gg Beavers, way to finish the season strong. Announcers were calling it an "impressive win", even though OSU lost their previous 8 by more than 24 points on average.
3/13/2008 9:33:53 AM
haha yeah
3/13/2008 2:01:09 PM
waiting for tip on gametracker
3/13/2008 2:03:28 PM
no FSN?
3/13/2008 2:14:11 PM
well, it's 6-5 ASU with 16 min leftRihards with 2 3's
3/13/2008 2:15:10 PM
At work, Gametracker is slow too. Dammit. You see any Bruin fans yet?
3/13/2008 2:16:18 PM
Be nice to see Illinois make a run, up 4 (RPI help)
3/13/2008 2:46:28 PM
hell yeah, Illinois pulls out an ass-clencher and Xavier wins... this one's gonna be close
3/13/2008 3:38:42 PM
Bwahahahaha...I just tuned into the broadcast of the USC/ASU game and they said that ASU was done in by a huge 8-9 minute scoring drought. What's this you say? A Herb team experiencing a scoring drought?! The hell you say !!!! Enjoy the NIT Herbie and read one of your Buddha books while you're at it
3/13/2008 4:10:06 PM
Wow Herb and ASU got fucked on that call.If that costs them a NCAA bid I would be pissed as hell. How bad are PAC 10 refs?[Edited on March 13, 2008 at 4:11 PM. Reason : ^That is pretty shitty dude. We suck ass and all you can do is hate on our former coach]
3/13/2008 4:10:28 PM
^^ ahahaha you are so funny! Did you even watch the State game???? ahahaha tell us MOAR!
3/13/2008 4:12:50 PM
3/13/2008 4:14:17 PM
Still are a ton of scenarios that'll get ASU in the dance. Most notably, Oregon needs to get blown the fuck out and $C needs to win the tourney. Stanford win against UA helps as well. Shit, even Nebraska has an outside shot of making the Big-12 championship game, which helps RPI/SOS as well.
3/13/2008 4:51:44 PM
I watched the entire 2nd half. I DO NOT miss Herb.
3/13/2008 4:58:20 PM
i watched the State game and remembered that Herb never finished 12th in the ACC and it made me miss himI really think that loss sealed their fate. they're NIT-bound. but that might not be such a bad thing. i really hope they get paired up with an ACC team in the opening round. that or a decent mid-major.
3/13/2008 5:15:00 PM
Better a bubble team than a gutter team.If Herb is this good in his second year, imagine how good he'll be once he gets his players in!
3/13/2008 5:17:22 PM
It's hard to say. PAC-10 deserves 6 this year. Personally, I don't think the NIT would be all that bad either. But I'd really like them to come in as a 12 or 13 and try to shake things up. Either way, it was a damn good season for a perennial shit team.
3/13/2008 5:18:44 PM
Just saw the highlights of the Arizona State-USC game on Sportscenter. Knight was breaking down the game's end and then called Sendek a great coach for what he has done for that program. Rece Davis laughed and said Knight must not've been reading those NC State message boards that said Sendek couldn't coach anything. It really sucks that we have become a punchline to jokes on national TV.
3/13/2008 5:18:46 PM
THIS IS NC STATE. MEDIOCRITY HAS NO PLACE HERE.lol, good season Herb. Way to finally exceed expectations.
3/13/2008 5:26:28 PM
i was the standard bearer for Rece Davis and his group 3 years ago at the Jimmy V Tournamenthe had nothing but great things to say about Herb. loved the guy
3/13/2008 5:26:57 PM
3/13/2008 5:30:01 PM
ooooohi just watched the DVR replay. that Pendergraph over the back was fucking bullshitwowee.....that fucking pisses me off
3/13/2008 5:35:16 PM
Four point swing and would've stopped the drought. Goddamn the refs were just all-around terrible this year. PAC-10, ACC, (insert conference here)
