Excellent episode.Next week's episode looks like a flashback from the preview.

Carrie Underwood deserves a 2 episode then die part next season

Damn. That episode got real dark, real quick. I wasn't expecting a little kid to get eaten alive. Jeez. Still think that the episode where Carol saved everyone in Terminus was the best episode so far but this wasn't far behind. Too bad Michonne didn't just chop off that kids arm, KHORAL maybe would have kept his eye but it is understandable that she was just acting quickly without thinking. Also, very fortunate that Darryl knows how to use an RPG .

I mean, I get everyone loving the episode, but just a few really annoying things.1.) Why did they even bother getting out of the truck and leaving their weapons? You're driving a truck, everyone has guns, and you stop and get out of the truck to talk to a bunch of guys on bikes holding guns? You have a RPG, why not just skip the chit-chat? I mean you could say they wanted to know who they were, but with the history this group has with strangers, is that REALLY worth it? Just seemed like an awful plot point to introduce the name "Negan" when we already have heard enough about the group to get the gist of them being bad. 2.) The timing to save Glenn was a little annoying. I mean I get that it was plausible, but given that guy's history of just barely surviving so many ridiculous situations, was it necessary to have yet another over-the-top one like that?3.) Rick and Co. are moving through the streets, supposedly on the way to get vehicles, totally working well together and controlling their movements...and then they run themselves right up against a wall? What kind of horrible plan was that? If not for the scorched water plan bailing them out, they'd all have been overran because they backed themselves into a corner. 4.) How was the member of the Wolves still so recognizable? Didn't we see him getting eaten? He looked almost fully in-tact when Morgan comes across him in the street.5.) Judith is growing at a strange rate that makes it hard to take her presence remotely serious. They should have just ended her back when Lori died and removed that unnecessary element from the show.

I think we're primed to lose a major character this season, and i'm thinking it's going to be Maggie.
2/16/2016 10:00:41 AM
^^1- have we heard anything in the show about the group headed by Neegan? They aren't the same as the wolves, and they don't seem to be the same as the ones that Daryl encountered in the woods because these new ones didn't seem to know about the gas truck, and the people in the woods knew about it. Either way, the whole point was just to say the name Neegan in the show.2- I agree, they've done it too much3- they were heading to the vehicles til everyone got eaten and Khorl got shot, then they went to the infirmary, then Rick went crazy and ran out to murder every zombie, he wasn't trying to get to the cars at that point.4- they just wanted to make it very clear to the audience and Morgan who that was, manking sense be dammed 5- I feel like Judith is shown so little in general in the show that I forget what she looks like anyways[Edited on February 16, 2016 at 10:31 AM. I think it's become a running joke with the writers at this point to tease Glenn's death...it's like the opposite of Kenny
2/16/2016 10:42:24 AM
^^1. I think the group that Daryl met in the woods is clearly tying back into Negan. I don't think the group that was hunting them down knew about the gas truck, I think the people that were fleeing knew about it and were just looking for a vehicle that had it's own fuel supply so they could get far away from where they were. Otherwise, why spend an entire episode introducing the 3(2 now) new characters and introducing the idea of people chasing them that came from another "group" that clearly were involved with bad people. They just went into too much detail about why they were running away and how much trouble they would be in if caught to just abandon that entire story. Seems like Abraham and Co. will report back to Rick on the crazy shit they saw on the road, including Negan and the people that Daryl ran into.[Edited on February 16, 2016 at 10:45 AM. Reason : .]
2/16/2016 10:45:20 AM
Yea, I prefer everyone knowing that Negan's gang is out there so that they at least have time to think about how to deal with that kind of encounter.
2/16/2016 11:07:56 AM
was carl shot on two separate occasions in the comic?
2/16/2016 12:14:54 PM
For all they knew, the group could have had others hiding in the trees to mow them down or shoot/blow up the truck.

The brief flashbacks of Jesse were really well placed. Especially since its been a while between half seasons and when they first met.
2/16/2016 1:25:01 PM
^^^lol that's greatI remember when Coral got shot the first time my friend told me that he lost an eye in the comic thinking that was when it was supposed to happen. So when he got shot last night I immediately knew he was going to survive.
2/16/2016 4:02:57 PM
y'all gonna piss off that one guy who always comes in here pissed about mentioning the comics
2/16/2016 7:04:52 PM
I wish Glenn would stop evading close calls already and just die.Judith doesn't really bother me. Part of the time she isn't there and then part of the time she is in imminent danger.
2/16/2016 9:04:23 PM
wonder if Negan will be played by Wood Harris. perhaps Lance Reddick?
2/16/2016 9:17:55 PM
my momey is on Jeffrey Dean Morganand he is pissed because some fancy hotel he owned in Miami got overrun with zombiesand he couldn't be its Savoir

^Lots of debate online about your spoilerish comment and who actually does that on the show.
2/17/2016 8:24:26 AM
2/17/2016 8:28:18 AM
^Ha yeah, a single match would have done the trick.
2/17/2016 8:51:56 AM
Yeah, but I imagine a few years in a post-zombie apocalypse world, that matches will be a fairly hot commodity(no pun intended) and somewhat hard to find. Plus doubt he'd want to throw a lighter in and lose it.Agreed you don't want use a rocket(not sure how many they have), but gotta do what you gotta do in a hurry. Think if the truck had a cigarette lighter in it, that would have been a good option.
2/17/2016 11:25:38 AM
Abraham had matches like 2 episodes before.
2/17/2016 11:30:38 AM
When Glenn got saved again, conveniently, I looked at my brother who I was watching with and said "Glenn is a ripoff of the one-armed hotel worker from Hot Tub Time Machine"
2/17/2016 9:01:14 PM
Yeah I feel like that scene would have been a lot better had the rocket not come in at the absolute last second. Would have been just as exciting without being over the top.Loved the episode though. Fuck those two little shit head kids. Hate their Milf went with them but I'll take that trade off.
2/17/2016 9:05:05 PM
These next few episodes will make you want to shit yourselfI hope you have your shitting pants on
2/18/2016 2:52:20 AM
well all caught up now. Glad little shit head died. I shit my pants when the rocket hit those guys. Great great episode.

How does one get shot in the eye and live?
2/20/2016 1:20:55 AM
Bullet could have just skimmed the eye and not actually gone into the skull if it hit at the right angle.
2/20/2016 1:50:19 AM
2/20/2016 8:15:27 AM
They described it during the Talking Dead. It was a clean exit and basically just caught the eye and the bone fragments went back into the eye itself. In the comics it was more of a gaping hole, obviously they couldn't create empty space with make-up so had to have a more realistic injury for the show. Can't wait for more scenes of One-Eyed Willie Khorl.
2/20/2016 10:14:31 PM
yeah that bullet was all: little pig little pig, let me in
2/20/2016 11:35:45 PM
well, Rick found a larger world
2/21/2016 10:05:48 PM
This new guy is a spry little fucker. Straight up ninja'd Rick. He must be an escape artist, he was out of that rope and on top of the truck in like 8 seconds.[Edited on February 21, 2016 at 11:58 PM. Reason : where is all this gasoline coming from?]
2/21/2016 11:58:06 PM
Let me drive around a field with my truck full of food and back up to a lake on a hill.
2/22/2016 8:09:26 AM
Yeah the truck placement and going into the lake was just dumb. I guess it would be too convenient to let them actually find a stocked truck and get those resources, have to keep them moving and scavenging for items. Previews for next week look solid. Also an interesting hook-up at the end. But also worth noting that every woman that Rick has any type of affection for in this show ends up dead...so keep ya head on a swivel Michonne.
2/22/2016 8:32:03 AM
Yeah but admittedly, all of the ones he's liked have been stupid or weaklings. Michonne is at least able to take care of herself.
2/22/2016 9:16:10 AM
He couldn't get enough of Michonne in those spandex pants, or whatever it is she wears. As Chris Hardwick said in Talking Dead, why didn't they use those mints before hooking up?I enjoyed the truck going into the lake for the comedic value. I fully expected them to get stuck in a rut in that field, but losing the truck in a lake went above and beyond.
2/22/2016 9:42:48 AM
Rick and Michonne is stupid as fuck.
2/22/2016 4:19:38 PM
Why is it stupid?Plz explain in detail.
2/22/2016 5:06:14 PM
I think they're setting it up to kill off Rick and michonne will be the leader.
2/22/2016 5:33:32 PM
It's not hard to imagine Rick and Michonne getting together. Michonne was already basically a mother-figure to both Khorl and Judith.Every woman Rick falls for is too helpless to take care of themselves and dies. They're constantly in peril and saving each other. They're slow to trust outsiders and have deep trust in one another.Add in the fact that they've practically been living together for a year or two now. Then, you know, adrenaline + hormones/testosterone. Had to get their rocks off somewhere.
2/23/2016 8:40:29 AM
2/23/2016 8:44:51 AM
^exactly.
2/23/2016 10:44:30 AM
I think it would have helped had they come out and acknowledged it had been "about 2 months" from the first episode to the second, to help set the tone that it had been a little bit of time for Rick to get over cutting his old crush's hand off. I think the blonde girl probably just proved to Rick that he was ready to feel something for someone again, and probably stirred up some emotions in his pants as well. Now that she's been removed from the picture, he was probably more willing to be interested in someone again. Now they're living together, she's helped him take care of Khorl and Judith, she helped him defend the infirmary when Khorl was being worked on, etc. Would have helped to have them show more flirting earlier in the episode, but I think they were going for the surprise factor, where no one really saw it coming. I think it'll end up that they've been flirting more during the 2-month phase than it led on initially(since both were preoccupied this last episode). I don't think it's going to be a random one night stand situation.
2/23/2016 11:22:39 AM
went and visited the set yesterday - pretty interesting
2/23/2016 11:42:20 AM
I do think that a little more backstory would have made it more acceptable but, at the same time, had they done that I am certain readers would have complained that we didn't need to see two episodes of the Michonne and Rick love story. The episode itself was both hit and miss for me. Introducing this new bad ass was cool but essentially giving him super powers was not so cool. Finding this food source was interesting but not going back home right away was completely unbelievable for me. So on and so forth.I am curious how this shifts the storyline. If there is anything that the episode did for me is keep me interested in what is to come.
