^^ thats a pretty athletic big man, I like it. I love a football playin big boy with some twinkle toes on him.Stocker reminds me a lot of the young cam newton...dude has some LONG strides on him.wonder if he will be recruited as a QB, no footage of any throws what soever. He can read D's well it seems and looks VERY elusive.[Edited on June 28, 2011 at 7:37 PM. Reason : g]

So who the hell is going to be the QB in this class, Summers or Stocker? Maybe they both being recruited to play QB, but that kind of goes against TOB and Bible's one QB a year philosophy.

When that video first came on and I saw "Two Men Enter One Man Leaves" I thought it was going to be the SNL Cubicle Fight.http://www.hulu.com/watch/18983/saturday-night-live-snl-digital-short-cubicle-fight

afterall, this is what recruiting is all about
6/28/2011 9:41:12 PM
i'm all for two athletic QBs in one class. it creates competition. the added caveat is that whoever loses will add athletic ability to another position (as long he's ok with switching positions).
6/28/2011 10:05:28 PM
stocker was offered as our qb recruit

looks like RW 2.0 and 3.0 are waiting in the wings! 2 awesome years for Glennon, then open it up to these athletic playmakers

"dumb kids"? really? It seems more like it was an overly excited Sammy Batten that didn't get it straight from the kid's mouth. Even in his story i was a little suspicious because there was no direct quote from the kid, only his coach's evaluation of him.

According to Scout we got another QB commitment:http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=4979558

The entire 2011 recruiting class qualified. The first time in over 10 years.http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/2/1084199.htmlIt's not a flashy recruiting class, but I think it's a solid one that will provide depth and a much needed special teams boost.

Rivals' listing of our qualified 2011 commitments looks better than Scout's:http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/commitments/2011/northcarolinastate-7;_ylt=AsMbbO1xXeqySMcLdhzDyjVHPZB4(fwiw, three of six of our 2*s are ST players, who are all ranked in the top5 at their position by some recruiting services)

i love K'Hadree Hooker as part of the wolfpack defensive line. He looks like a Tank Tyler 2.0....can't wait to see him in red. Smart kid too...wants to persue an engineering degree *he's also up to 295lbs.benches 350lbleg presses 540lbs[Edited on July 7, 2011 at 9:10 AM. Reason : .]

I remember seeing Andre Brown's listed major as Computer Science his freshman year. That did not last. I can't imagine trying to get an engineering degree with football responsibilities as well.

Manny was a beast and Kiker didn't seem like he bothered with football responsibilities.
7/7/2011 10:13:54 AM
yeah that might explain why kiker was such a shitty kicker.

IIRC many scouts said that he would have been one of the top players in the state his senior year had he had the grades. They knew he wouldn't qualify and that's why schools didn't offer him. Had he qualified he would have been at State. Good to see he worked hard in JUCO both on the field and in the classroom for him to get another shot at playing major college football.

7/11/2011 11:56:31 PM
^^not to split hairs, but is that 2* rating from now or from when he was in HS? if it's HS, how would a top player in the state be 2*? i can't imagine his rating is affected by poor grades. or maybe it is, i don't know if they factor in a player's potential desirability to schools in those oft-incorrect player ratings.dude sounds like a beast though, those are solid numbers. TOB is bringing in some big strong monsters for the lines.
7/12/2011 1:32:16 AM
yeah I don't buy the "he wasn't rated highly because they knew he wouldn't qualify" reasoning either...it didn't seem to affect Alfy Hill or Freshad Hunter at all.
7/12/2011 1:48:52 AM
already mentioned, but
7/12/2011 9:34:40 AM
7/12/2011 10:13:42 AM
fundamentals are great but if you want to win football games you need talent, speed strength. Proper footwork on the o-line doesn't mean shit if you are on your ass b/c the d-lineman just bowled you over.
7/12/2011 10:53:11 AM
All things within reason, of course. You know what he meant.
7/12/2011 11:04:34 AM
there was an lb recruit a couple years back that the pp guys were in love with that had no shot to qualify. he was like 6'2 and ran a 4.4 scout didnt have him ranked either. no idea where he is todayalfy hill was expected to qualify or at least have a shot (also he was interested in unc for a while) so obv he got the stars. hunter is a good example though
7/12/2011 6:48:59 PM
elijah dukes?
