Very nice. I honestly came into the album a little cynical; it felt over-hyped and a stylized. Ended up getting kind of obsessed with the album.

I'm going to check this guy out at Kings tonight:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqnEXZfPILY

Nice article in Rolling Stone about the triangle's music scenehttps://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/raleigh-north-carolina-indie-music-938255/+1 for not calling the area RDU or Raleigh-Durham.
2/12/2020 1:05:00 PM
that piece is absolute garbage that was given to them by a local PR firm who don’t seem to know anything about the local music sceneto their credit, it looks like they edited some things and took out some others, like featuring the bar Green Light in an article about the local music scene. [Edited on February 12, 2020 at 1:58 PM. Reason : still hilarious to call the back room at the Cradle a divey, two-floor venue, tho]
2/12/2020 1:53:34 PM
Got 2 tickets for RATM!
2/13/2020 12:27:05 PM
how did was the ticket buying? a shitshow?
2/13/2020 12:29:20 PM
more or less on par with how Tool was, though there were more steps of identify verification to slow things down
2/13/2020 1:03:10 PM
we were able to get 3 tickets after waiting for 15 minutes think it’s already nearly sold out
2/13/2020 3:14:16 PM
I'll be there too!Was in the waiting room before 11 and still didn't get tickets until almost 11:30. Upper level was all that was left. Oh well, it's fucking RATM!!

Yeah my buddy who was in charge of getting the tickets dropped the ball and wound up getting booted from the queue. I was at a conference and just happened to log in as a "just in case" contingency plan. I'm glad I did. I heard rumors that all seats were the same $125 price. Any truth to that? Including floor?[Edited on February 13, 2020 at 8:15 PM. Reason : Asf]
2/13/2020 8:15:02 PM
Lol don't think I'd call something like that a rumor at this point 20,000+ people saw those prices (not me tho)
2/13/2020 8:38:19 PM
Dante High ruled last night
2/23/2020 4:46:06 PM
Wye Oak as a five piece was pretty damn cool. The acoustics in Baldwin Auditorium were fantastic.
2/28/2020 11:27:51 PM

3/17/2020 1:11:55 PM

3/17/2020 1:18:40 PM
I just bought some tickets for mid-May[Edited on March 17, 2020 at 1:20 PM. Reason : lol u really think no summer shows will happen?]
3/17/2020 1:20:04 PM
every show I’ve had a ticket to thru April has been cancelled/postponed and there is no reason at all to think that things are going to get any better between now and then we’re still in the beginning of this thing and it’s gonna get much, much worse
3/17/2020 1:29:17 PM
I mostly agree but am holding on to a little optimism.
3/17/2020 1:36:51 PM
The Rolling Stones just postponed their summer tour
3/17/2020 1:58:57 PM

I jammed to DMB last night (j/k)
3/27/2020 2:06:59 PM
Where are they announcing all these things?
3/27/2020 2:12:08 PM
my wife had an amazing opportunity to do an extensive arena tour throughout all of UK/Europe in April - June that got postponed (tentatively next year, but we'll see), and I was planning to be over there for a month. So that was a huge bummer. It seemed like a kind of too-good-to-be-true situation as it was, so I'm not sure if the stars will align again to make it happen.
4/3/2020 11:59:56 AM
Bought tix for Angel Olsen for a livestream on Sat night. Haven't watched any streamed corn teen shows yet.
4/8/2020 7:58:46 PM
Rage Against the Machine show postponed to August 17, 2021Fuck COVID-19 man
5/1/2020 4:51:38 PM
better than a cancellation
5/1/2020 5:59:46 PM
Yeah I was talking with the guys I got the tickets with and we thought it would get cancelled since next year doesn't coincide with the election
5/1/2020 7:29:31 PM
my two may shows i bought tickets for thru ticketmaster and etix aren't offering refunds, saying the venue makes those calls. one has announced new date a year out and other one nothing yet.guess i'm going get my credit card company involved and dispute the charges.]
5/28/2020 2:16:34 PM
good luck with that gonna be a while before concerts.

I had thought about getting tickets to see Circle Jerks and Municipal Waste at the Cats Cradle in December.... but with the Delta starting to come strong now, I imagine it will be worse in December, and I'm not sure if I'm comfortable being in a crowded sweaty room with a bunch of people trying to mosh.
8/6/2021 3:02:48 PM
lots of bands are starting to require vaccine passports for entrywouldn’t surprise me if venues follow suit
8/6/2021 3:04:16 PM
Hope so, would make me feel a lot better.Just saw there are several other CC shows I wouldn't mind catching, including Jeff Rosenstock in early December.
