I do wish yellows went away after the quarters or at least the R16.Anyway, that was a very stressful long lunch but I'll take it.[Edited on June 26, 2014 at 2:31 PM. Reason : ]

Jones and Bedoya are no longer on a card, just Beckerman and Gonzalez as yellow cards go away after a match without a card. However should we get to the match against Argentina, if anybody picks up a yellow that game it would be wiped clean for the Holland game (unless they were on a yellow from the Belgium game in which case they would be suspended against Holland). Here's to hoping we have Jozy back against the fighting waffles. Without him the best we can hope for is advancing on penalties.Belgium Thursday 7/1 4 pm SalvadorArgentina Saturday 7/5 Noon BrasiliaHolland Wednesday 7/9 4 pm São PauloBrazil/Chile/Germany Sunday 7/13 3 pm Rio de Janeiro

^ I don't know that the best we can hope for is penalties even without Jozy. Honestly, I think we have a chance to beat every team I have seen play. Obviously there is a huge difference between beating 3 good teams in a row and maybe beating one, but I don't think we are in a different class from even the top squads (as evidenced by germany only beating us by 1).[Edited on June 26, 2014 at 2:44 PM. Im pretty sure this is correct. Yellow goes away after the next game
6/26/2014 2:47:08 PM
I haven't found anything that says that. All I see is suspension after "2 in 5 games"
6/26/2014 2:48:48 PM
^damn you are correct
6/26/2014 2:50:47 PM
My bad, thanks for the clarification
6/26/2014 2:56:45 PM
Dammit guys, I told you I couldn't watch it until later tonight and asked for no spoilers!
6/26/2014 5:15:03 PM

6/26/2014 7:59:32 PM

6/26/2014 8:49:02 PM
^^^LOL! Then what are you doing reading the thread?
6/26/2014 10:24:25 PM
Brad Davis didn't add much today. Bradley has been way off this tournament. Yelling has provided a spark the last two games, would like to see him come in with a little more time left.
6/26/2014 10:37:19 PM
LOL Davis did add something today...getting his ass kicked by boateng down the right side again and again. Would have been good for set pieces except we didn't have any

Dude's delusional. He'll never be where he was. And not only that; his potential was his greatest asset, not his talent. Sad.

So what does everyone REALISTICALLY think the score will be? I am hoping for 2-1 US and an epic weekend at the beach on americas birthday weekend watching the US play argentina or the swiss!
6/29/2014 3:17:18 PM
I beliebe that we will lose 3-1
6/29/2014 3:30:36 PM
It will be 2-1 either way but most likely we lose In my opinion[Edited on June 29, 2014 at 3:51 PM. Reason : .]

London Bridge for the game? Seems the best atmosphere I have been to out of the games so far. Players Retreat blew donkey balls.

If you want to sit outside in the sun, the Railhawks will be hosting another big screen party.
6/30/2014 12:32:15 AM
Odds are we lose 1-0
6/30/2014 12:57:45 AM
It really all comes down to whether or not Jozy plays.
6/30/2014 8:29:28 AM
just happened to have the day off on Tuesday, which means we'll probably lose
6/30/2014 8:47:42 AM
^^ Totally personal speculation but I see like a 5% chance of him starting. I would say he is in uniform this game and "available" but, even if he is 90% healthy, he should probably be used as a super-sub if we are struggling in the 2nd half (with the goal that we can rest him one more game).Of course we see very little compared to what the coaches see, but if there is any question on whether he is very close to 100% fit and healed still it's not worth the risk imo: both the risk of re-injury as well as blowing an early sub in a game that has the potential to go 120 mins.I absolutely want to see Altidore out there and hope that we will see him playing for us before we go home (whenever that ends up being) so we aren't left with 'what-ifs' but I just don't see him starting tomorrow.
6/30/2014 9:20:29 AM
Yeah...have there been any reports on Jozy?? If he's at least 75%...I think you see him in there pretty early unless we go up a goal in the first half.
6/30/2014 9:43:32 AM
I think I read on Saturday that Jozy had been jogging for the last 3 days but hadn't participated in any work-outs yet, but Klinsmann was "optimistic" that he'd be ready in some capacity. Also, I was unable to watch most of the Germany game and didn't realize that Jermain Jones broke his nose. Supposedly it wasn't too "serious" and he won't be wearing a mask.
6/30/2014 9:57:40 AM
I also heard (I think) that Bradley had run more than any other player during the entire group stages at 23 miles.

Jozy ready and available for the Belgium match.
6/30/2014 1:16:17 PM
Like, starting ready? Or sub ready?
6/30/2014 1:21:57 PM
Just saw it tweeted by US Soccer. Here's the first article I've seen about it.http://www.sbnation.com/2014/6/30/5857730/jozy-altidore-injury-us-soccer-world-cup-2014
6/30/2014 1:27:27 PM
If youre not sire I dont see why you would sub him instead of starting him and seeing ho2 long je can go .
6/30/2014 1:31:29 PM
jozy cleared to play via espn as well
6/30/2014 1:33:10 PM
Why wouldn't you start him unless fatigue is an issue? Worried about saving him for the 2018 WC?

6/30/2014 1:40:36 PM
6/30/2014 1:41:00 PM
the risk of losing an early sub if he re-injures it isn't worth ityou only get 3....
6/30/2014 1:42:55 PM
you've gotta start himjust gotta
6/30/2014 2:00:41 PM
If you sub him in and he isnt right you wasted 2 subs
6/30/2014 2:23:26 PM
If he's fit he starts. Risk you have to take...
6/30/2014 2:37:26 PM
I would love to see a 100% Jozy back, but anything less than 100%, then he should sit out again. This is too important to risk putting in any liabilities. Maybe if we are winning by 2+ goals in the last 10 minutes, we can put on Jozy to get some game time, and possibly have him hold the ball, when possible, to kill time.Maybe the USMNT is trying to get into Belgium's heads, making them overprepare, just for us to not play Jozy at all. Or possibly, make Belgium think they need to rush injured guys back as well. It's all head games. Jozy should not play.

Klinsmann is by far the best coach we have had at mind games. Now any controversial call that goes against us and people will quote him... and the ref knows that.[Edited on July 1, 2014 at 7:31 AM. Reason : Iphone needs to autocorrect his name!]
