^ With the way basketball is going, most definitely not. Of course I'm sure football will flop now that we're expected to be good./pessimism

@thebody, yea what @tower said. last year if they said a north carolina recruit had us among his favorites 1) it was rare, and 2) it was almost a lie/stretch of truth to have some positive something about recruiting. We went months with 2 recruits in the fold.
2/9/2011 9:21:42 AM
^ thanks. just curious if you saw anything on rivals or scouts i could check out. ready for the 2011 season already...

#1 recruit Jadeveon Clowney commits to South Carolina
2/14/2011 12:38:28 PM
^ Spurrier broke out the big money to beat Bama for this kid.
2/14/2011 1:50:35 PM
doesn't this give them something like 45 recruits for this class... this may affect the layouts of the South Carolina budget with this class.
2/14/2011 2:20:45 PM
a friend of mine in the SC athletics department says their recruiting coordinator is leaving the program today...worried about the backlashedit: was just going along with the conversation, didnt realize this was the State recruiting thread [Edited on February 14, 2011 at 3:02 PM. Reason : ]

^^32 I think. People at work were bustin a nut and talking about USC winning the national championship next year- I would say that's a big stretch but who the hell knows
2/15/2011 12:41:15 AM
^ USC should be very good next year with their great WR core and Lattimore to go along with a strong defense. The SEC East will be a toss up again, but Spurrier has seemingly finally turned the corner at South Carolina. The BCS champion will probably still come out of the SEC West again.
2/15/2011 9:15:03 AM
Sounds like USC probably won't have Clowney next year after all. Looks like he should have spent less time dragging out his recruitment and more time in the classroom. Most, including his coaches, believe he will not qualify.
2/16/2011 7:57:41 AM
if that's true i wish UNCCHeat would have gotten him

any news?
4/12/2011 12:27:41 PM
we lost out on 4* DT J.J. Patterson to UNCJohn Blake is still managing to land highly-touted recruits despite not being employed by UNC
4/12/2011 12:39:21 PM
few recruiting sites i saw said Patterson grew up a UNC fan so its not really a surprise.
4/12/2011 1:22:46 PM
Whatever. We'll get Hooker anyways, which is fine by me. I mean the dude's name is K'Hadree! How badass is it to have an apostrophe in one's name?

James Summers sounds like the name of a fictional character based on Philip Rivers in some beach-read novel.
4/14/2011 10:58:22 AM
^^ good news! Rivals is also confirming officiallyI wonder if they plan on using him in another capacity. 6'2"/196 isn't the typical Ryan/Glennon QB that Bible likes. I guess the same can be said for Taylor, who's only 6'3".
4/14/2011 11:21:19 AM
He also had an offer from Clemson supposedly.I guess IC'ers arent going to be able to poo-poo his lack of stars since UNCCheat had offered as well.Welcome to NCSU James
4/14/2011 11:28:09 AM
i'll take him...i love program players
4/14/2011 11:43:04 AM
I've heard he's supposed to be the top dual-threat quarterback in NC fwiw.
4/14/2011 12:16:45 PM
James Summers:
4/14/2011 12:25:05 PM
Wow, Bible/TOB took a QB before camp. That's a good sign.
4/14/2011 2:44:22 PM
Everett Proctor 2.0?
4/14/2011 3:09:37 PM
I read that he was recruited as an ATH, but QB wasn't out of the picture, so who knows what he'll end up doing here.
4/14/2011 3:27:36 PM
That makes more sense. Not a Bible prototype QB.
4/14/2011 3:56:51 PM
4/14/2011 4:03:18 PM
the kid has moves, no doubt
4/14/2011 4:27:02 PM
Lol at the insidecarolina watermark. His throwing will need some work if they keep him at QB, lot of those passes were in position to be intercepted
4/14/2011 4:43:23 PM
i'm impressed by his agility...he has great speed, but when guys get close and throw an arm at his legs/feet he just does that high step and keeps on movingathletically gifted for sure, he'll be a great asset at any position[Edited on April 14, 2011 at 4:50 PM. Reason : vn]
4/14/2011 4:49:48 PM
really impressed. throwing was pretty decent, he made some tough throws.call me crazy, but he looks like he'd be a good RB as well, not that we really need any but he's really tough to get down.Maybe we're gonna install a "wildwolf" pkg.
4/14/2011 5:09:48 PM
He'll make a hell of a free safety
4/14/2011 5:11:07 PM
4/14/2011 5:12:42 PM
That video reminds me of our defense two years ago.No pressure, no tackling.College football teams aren't like that.
4/14/2011 7:04:08 PM

4/15/2011 10:48:44 AM

In other words, not a QB. Still a good get, though.

One of two things here:Either he's trying to hold in a shit or someone just told him his mom died.
4/25/2011 10:40:37 PM
He could put on a bunch of weight and play tight end if he has good hands.
