^lol, it is a very long wager^^^Cool out there tuff guy.Your suggestions for how to tank a game are asinine. The players and coaches on the field are setting a resume for next season, and are professionals with a future to think about. This isn't Madden. They aren't going to go out and tank for a draft that may or may not affect them. Also the saints are wise to that game as well and realize that they can rest guys and lower the Panthers draft pick, it isn't a one way decision. Finally, the scrubs went out and scored, can't stop that.[Edited on December 30, 2018 at 7:54 PM. Reason : ]

Pretty sure affecting the Panthers draft choice played exactly zero part in the saints decision to rest players.
12/30/2018 7:55:55 PM
Yea, I guess the likelihood of that is about the same as the Panthers going out and taking a knee 45 times. But, that said, i'm sure they are not upset that the Panthers hurt their draft pick.
12/30/2018 8:18:35 PM
with the frequency of trades in the draft nowadays, tanking really doesn't matter. draft position might as well be fluid now outside the top few picks. spend the picks to move up if you want, trade down and recoup some later, its really not that big of a deal.

Davis not returning next year#Hurney2.0
1/9/2019 10:56:48 PM
https://twitter.com/ThomasDavisSDTM/status/1083184637353123843That fucking hit me hard. TD is probably my favorite Panther ever. Painful to see him go.
1/9/2019 11:04:00 PM
If only they could find a way to get out of Olsen's contract. I don't think they can cut him until next year without a huge cap hit.
1/9/2019 11:54:58 PM
It’s a shame to see him goBut also good on Hurney for not giving him a 3 year deal to stay
1/10/2019 12:59:06 AM
^^Are we sure Olsen isn't retiring? He hinted at it last year with a potential announcing job and honestly he'd be a homerun hire by a company to take over in the booth. The guy has to be tired of foot injuries.
1/10/2019 10:31:20 AM
God I hope he does. His last contract was a mistake. Also they need to move on from Peppers, even if he wants to come back. He's done.Pretty obvious that they won't re-sign draft disappointments like Funchess and Artis-Payne. The rest of that 2015 draft class should stick around, though.
1/10/2019 11:01:39 AM
Sorry old timers, time to go. Need to draft our asses off and find a good backup QB who could potentially become our next. Cam's shoulder may never be the same and given what Andrew Luck did, Cam may need to sit out the start of next season (at least)
1/10/2019 11:24:15 AM
Going to miss TD but he was noticeably slower this season and will keep getting slower, still can contribute to someone but not worth the money he is going to want. Olsen said he was coming back after being placed on IR. In theory they could cut him not sure what his cap hit would be. But, he wanted the MNF gig and he isn't going to be a C-Team analyst on CBS or Fox. Funchess and CAP are both done here. Funchess will get a big time deal with someone because of his size but his stone hands and poor routes will keep a lot of teams away. CAP was a disappointment after seeing how good he was at Auburn.Definitely need a good draft and to add some decent pieces in Free agency.

I think Allen showed enough to go into next year battling for #2. This is a weak QB draft class, so I think drafting one probably shouldn't happen.
1/10/2019 12:32:46 PM
Cam holds onto the ball too long and always has. It's not always the O-line that is responsible for how many times he's been sacked but I agree, they need to add some talent there.
1/11/2019 4:37:04 PM
lots of scuttlebutt about switching the defense to a 3-4
1/11/2019 5:16:59 PM
I'd take that with a grain of salt, since Rivera is going to keep calling plays for the defense next year. Also, doesn't make a lot of sense considering the personnel. IDK if people are saying that's why they're moving on from Davis, but the big reason he's not coming back is giving more PT to Thompson. ]
1/11/2019 5:53:32 PM
It doesn't seem like something they'd be able to just immediately implement given the personnel, but let's see what kind of defensive players they draft.
1/11/2019 6:17:29 PM
I mean unless they draft only defensive front seven guys with every pick, it's not gonna happen.[Edited on January 11, 2019 at 6:24 PM. Reason : Also, I don't think you take one of the top MLBs in the game and change his responsibilities.]
1/11/2019 6:23:30 PM
Playing the bucs in London next year, but it’s “away” so still 8 games at BOA. Too bad we’re probaly gonna suck [Edited on January 21, 2019 at 2:27 PM. Reason : Y]

Cam had shoulder surgery
1/24/2019 5:19:02 PM
not surprised he needed it.[Edited on January 24, 2019 at 5:23 PM. Reason : even though they said earlier he wouldn't need it, right?]
1/24/2019 5:23:13 PM
Chances Cam will sit out for part or all of next season?Even with him at 100% I think it's going to be a hard year. Six games against this year's playoff teams and a seventh against one which came pretty close.
1/24/2019 7:00:26 PM
of the 12 teams that made the playoffs this year, only 5 were in last yearjudging strength of schedule in January is dumb[Edited on January 24, 2019 at 7:11 PM. Reason : .]
1/24/2019 7:09:01 PM
At least Cam got this done prior to March unlike his last surgery. While our schedule looks difficult you really can't judge this years playoff teams with how good they will be next year. The Rams and Saints went all in this year. I read where the Saints will only have enough money to sign their draft picks this offseason, before they start cutting and restructuring. The Rams may be in same boat. The Jaguars were in the AFC Title game last year and everybody said they were trending up and they were awful this year. The NFL has too much parity and teams and personnel change too much to read to much into a schedule for next year in January.
1/25/2019 7:51:08 AM
Everything I've seen sounds like the surgery was a successAlso, Pep is retiring, not a huge surprise
2/1/2019 3:15:36 PM
warms my heart to see all of the Panthers who came to Cams cigar lounge
2/2/2019 11:38:16 PM

2/11/2019 3:47:00 PM
so you sign a 3 year deal for $22 million...and you complain?
2/11/2019 8:44:20 PM
I mean he has a point.
2/11/2019 8:50:39 PM
Yeah I get that, but I’d think most people would be happy to sign a new deal while still wanting to file his grievance. He just sounds pissed off
2/12/2019 7:47:00 AM
uh yeah he's pissed off. making a shitload of money shouldnt mean he has to change that.
2/12/2019 8:17:17 AM
yes he has a point but at the time he was an unknown being that he wasn't in training camp. He played on a show me deal and got rewarded. Nobody said life was fair. On the football side of things he was a good safety a little reckless at times but you need that from a safety. It will be interesting to see what he can do with an offseason workout program and training camp.
2/12/2019 8:21:43 AM
^^ No he shouldn't, but I also don't think he would be giving ground by having a little gratitude toward Tepper in the media for recognizing his talent above his personal beliefs. Maybe that's just me
2/12/2019 9:16:42 AM
Munnerlyn and Adams the latest old folks to get shown the door.
2/25/2019 6:19:25 PM
We signed a center, probably..
3/12/2019 7:32:02 PM
a very good signing
3/12/2019 9:09:40 PM
Welp, no Bradbury to the Panthers now.
3/12/2019 10:18:27 PM
I mean I'm glad they're not going to reach for him at 16
3/12/2019 10:26:04 PM
