Kansas was lame
10/22/2018 6:49:58 AM
^it was aite. chase won, harvick screwed himself, BK eliminated. cars were using the whole track
10/22/2018 6:50:48 PM
Clean air ruined it. If it hadn't been a cutoff race and the 9 hadn't won, folks would've hated it. The racing action just wasn't there.
10/22/2018 7:28:15 PM
Eh, cant really agree with you there. There were comers and goers. Hell, Chase drove through the top 10 twice and passed everyone but harvick. And who knows what kinda race that would have been if harvick didnt screw up on pit road. Busch and larson even took almost 3 seconds off chases lead when he got tight before changing his line the last 5 laps or so. There was racing to be hadWhen i think of clean air ruining races, i think of places where the only time you can make a pass is on restarts and then everyone stagnates and theres about one second between each car because nobody can get close enough to race. I dont think that was the case yesterday[Edited on October 22, 2018 at 9:19 PM. Reason : Dhdh]
10/22/2018 9:16:35 PM
If Harvick doesn't get a penalty, then we'd all just be hearing "rawr rawr Harvick domination". A popular winner can change the entire outlook on a race.

Eh, harvick will dominate phoenix like he has every phoenix race for the past 3 years. It wont matter
11/7/2018 6:57:07 PM
^prob but could matter especially if the 9, 10 , 41 or 14 winPSA: Dale Jr did Rogan's podcast yesterday [Edited on November 8, 2018 at 5:51 AM. Reason : j]

Despite NASCAR's best efforts, the four best cars over the whole season end up racing for the championship.
11/11/2018 6:06:54 PM
^not gonna lie i was pullin for Amarillo and Elliott to win. bring on homestead
11/11/2018 8:05:43 PM
The elimination pressure definitely played into teams' strategies and made a more compelling race than it might have otherwise been, so you have to cover that in the broadcast. But I wish they would spend more time talking about the actual racing taking place than POINTS POINTS POINTS all day.I get why they do it, but I really don't like it.

David Pearson died today. One of the best to ever strap in a stock car.

^^^ listening to Jeff Burton I think it would be impossible for him to cover say the All-Star RaceAs far as the finale, I doubt NASCAR want Harvick (cheater) or Truex (sucks you're leaving the sport Furniture Row, here is a championship on the way out) winning. That leaves Kyle and Logano.I think of these 4 guys I'd rather Truex or Harvick won as far as my personal feelings about the drivers are concerned. [Edited on November 13, 2018 at 8:47 PM. i'm kinda pulling for Harvick. really don't want to see the 18 win it. he's just such a douche nozzle. Logano or Truex would be fine, but Truex has really started to annoy me lately. now that he's full-on JGR, it's even easier to hate him.
11/13/2018 9:09:40 PM
i'm pulling for the 78. barney was ill and missed homestead last year. that guy has spent many many millions of his own money in nascar and it would be cool for him to get to be there this time
11/14/2018 6:20:44 PM
of course they didnt show a good replay of BK going 4 wide to bring out the caution the 22 needed all 3 races were good this weekend[Edited on November 19, 2018 at 6:07 AM. Reason : s]
11/19/2018 6:05:33 AM
I'm happy for Penske. The 22 was consistent, but not the best all year. He got hot at the right time, though. I'd like to hear radio comms from the 2 team.
11/19/2018 6:40:22 AM
Ill continue to pull for the 9, but i havent given a shit on who won the championship since they moved to this one race to win it all bullshit. Playoffs just dont work in nascar or auto racing in general. Its absolutely ridiculous. I was praying the top two would take out the first two rows before that last restart.
11/19/2018 7:26:29 AM
Is it wrong that I thought the most interesting bit of yesterday's race was Larson? Also, when Logano started his career, wasn't he from Arkansas? I think I remember a Mark Martin blessing bequeathed to him.Since they've gone to this format, the one thing that has annoyed me is there seems to be a quiet directive to the drivers not in the 4 to stay out of the way and not compete for the win. I remember last year's race and Larson was the only guy from the rest of the field that seemed to be trying to win then as well. This year after him the best was Hamlin...who was in a Kyle Busch support role.So what's our list of guys that are done:Kenseth, Bayne, McMurray, Allmendinger, Cole Whitt, Suarez unless he gets another ride (if Carlos Slim continues backing him, he will), Dibenedetto was leaving the 32 and will be done I guess unless he gets a promotion, the 78 car is done so there's a question of who will through all the shifts and changes get that full time spot -a top team, mid level team, or another backmarker that can't compete.[Edited on November 19, 2018 at 10:11 AM. 11/19/2018 9:55:10 AM
Dibenedetto is going to the 95 with LFRThere are charters available already, so the 78 closing up doesn't really open any new doors. Just more goofy backmarkers. [Edited on November 19, 2018 at 12:23 PM. Reason : Hd][Edited on November 19, 2018 at 12:23 PM. Reason : LFR may be the next FRR. Give it a few years. ]
11/19/2018 12:21:33 PM
Ah. For some reason I thought the 95 was going to someone else. Well, congrats to him, he moved up from the 31st-place car to the 27th-place car. I forgot from my list Kahne is also out of the field.I don't think any of the top 30 car teams are looking to add a full-timer. Most prospective new charter entry is probably the Gaunt Brothers #96 car which was the best non-charter car this past year. The BK #23 was bought midseason out of bankruptcy by Front Row Motorsports (the #34 and #38). So Fromt Row at the moment has 3 charters. I have to think Toyota want to do something with the 78. The only Toyota team of worth at the moment is Gibbs.[Edited on November 19, 2018 at 1:21 PM. Reason : .]

LFR is switching to Toyota with the JGR alliance. Dibenedetto can get more out of shitty equipment than he usually should. They may surprise us.Jeffrey Earnhardt running some NXS races for JGR next year, too. It'll be interesting to see if it really has been equipment limiting him. 11/19/2018 9:14:13 PM
^^^^^ i remember either the first year they went to this format or the second...gordon was in a great position to win the race and inexplicably pit with like 15-20 laps to go during caution when he didnt have to. I knew at that point that nascar would never allow a team not in the final 4 to win the race. Its pathetic.
11/19/2018 11:35:37 PM
^^nice, i did yahoo for years but they quit makin it this year. i didnt like the UI of nascar dot com fantasy as much
