I get it. Freeman is thicker. He's 245lbs vs KW at 225lbs. He's very good at getting rebounds. Defensively, I don't think he's a real threat except in the rebound game (last year). KW has a bit more athleticism, or so it looked. I wasn't really thinking about brute strength as much as I meant a combination of agility+athleticism being more of a factor in player's overall physicality.Regardless, I think Freeman will trim down a little bit this year, get stronger and be more like Howell was. He'll have to develop a jumper tho to make that happen.

I'm not optimistic but I was the same last year and we were an epic choke away from playing in the round of 32 so what do I know...
7/18/2014 12:25:14 PM
Malik Abu has looked really good. He's lost weight, added strength, and looks more athletic. He could be a real difference maker next year.

Our bigs have crazy potential over the next 2-3 seasons. If Abu and Washington can work on D, and Anya and Freeman can work on their offense, could have a really formidable group down there that could rotate as needed without much(if any) drop-off.OMG WE HAVE DEPTH!

^^ Agreed (for once). Nard is a muscular monster. And....

old
7/18/2014 3:09:25 PM
No shit, guy. That's kinda the point. It's in response to the ongoing conversation about Malik supposedly losing weight. It's a pic of Malik a few months ago, and it doesn't look like he has any weight to lose. Did you just not understand the point of it being posted?[Edited on July 18, 2014 at 3:12 PM. Reason : ]

Abu has toned up, I didn't mean he dropped 20lbs.[Edited on July 18, 2014 at 3:13 PM. Reason : he looks lighter on his feet in practice sessions than he did in HS][Edited on July 18, 2014 at 3:14 PM. Reason : moar spring in his step]

saw Anya at Chipotle today. Dude looked svelte compared to when he came in. Wasn't nosey enough to look at what he was eating aside from the fact it was a bowl.

This makes no sense. With the savings on energy it will take over 50 years to pay for this. We all know the building wont exist in 50 years. Waste of money. Terrible "investment"
7/22/2014 3:30:12 AM
7/22/2014 3:30:36 AM
So we shouldn't spend money on anything unless it pays for itself immediately?Oh, it's Earl.
7/22/2014 7:47:15 AM
I, too, have seen BeeJay Anya at Chipotle
7/22/2014 9:24:24 AM
My math says 19.5 years.800/(56-15)
7/22/2014 9:27:09 AM
No you should NEVER spend money on something that has a sole purpose to save you money when it costs more up front than th money it will ever save. Duh? Pic will be demolished well before 20 years.

1. Long Life (less time changing bulbs)LED’s are different to standard lighting: They don’t really burn out and stop working like a standard light, moreover the lighting diodes emit lower output levels over a very long period of time and become less bright.2. Energy Efficiency3. Ecologically Friendly4. Durable Quality5. Zero UV Emissions6. Design Flexibility7. Operational in Extremely Cold or Hot Temperatures8. Light DispersementLED is designed to focus its light and can be directed to a specific location without the use of an external reflector, achieving a higher application efficiency than conventional lighting. Well-designed LED illumination systems are able to deliver light more efficiently to the desired location.9. Instant Lighting & Frequent Switching10. Low-Voltage

So Earl is a football/basketball/LED/finance expert now.Got it.
7/22/2014 10:22:03 AM
Just throw a bunch of old 40 watt bulbs up in the rafters. It's probably what most of our older retard alumni would want. They probably think LEDs are an Obama conspiracy. Is PackPride still investigating Obama's birth certificate?
7/22/2014 10:58:21 AM
Does CREE manufacture the lights that were selected or did someone else get all up in CREE's backyard?
7/22/2014 11:44:59 AM
the cost of labor for changing light bulbs out in a stadium is usually higher than the cost of the light bulbs themselves. these bulbs will probably pay for themselves in the first 10 years as it will eliminate a lot of labor costs associated with bulb replacement. Those LED fixtures are supposed to be good for 20 years or more.they also have instant-on capabilities unlike HPS bulbs, so a power flicker in the stadium won't leave you sitting in the dark for 10 minutes. I think we've had a couple of games over the last three years where a thunderstorm delayed the game because the lights had to reboot.LEDs have a slightly bluish tint instead of that yellow glow from HPS bulbs, which I think enhances the look of whatever is being illuminated. Hopefully that will carry over into a sharper image on TV, but I'm not sure.
7/22/2014 2:07:05 PM
power company probably offering a discount on pnc's power bill to go to energy efficient lighting yall
7/22/2014 4:28:13 PM
who the fuck cares about this.
7/22/2014 4:33:45 PM
and that's the day i was unable to differentiate between tdub & packpride
7/22/2014 4:37:25 PM
Never respond to E Man, man.
7/22/2014 4:41:07 PM
yall are too cool to talk about LED lights in the offseason. i think it's pretty interesting. we can ponder about the differences in Washington and Freeman's game and body. Or if Lacey or Turner will be our more reliable threat from 3.
7/22/2014 4:53:35 PM
The first rule of Sport Talk is don't respond to Earl.
7/22/2014 5:21:40 PM
Non-conference schedule being announced on twitter right now. https://twitter.com/PackMensBball Solid schedule. Maybe the Vols can put up a fight this year.]
7/30/2014 2:33:57 PM
I thought I heard somewhere that we were going to play SMU this year...?would've been a fun game since we sorta booted them from the NCAA tourney last year
7/30/2014 2:44:41 PM
They got scurred once Mudiay left for Europe. That's my story anyway.
7/30/2014 3:04:46 PM
is Larry Brown still their coach? Or has he already left for another job?
7/30/2014 3:15:58 PM
So is the first Wake Forest game going to be a non-conference game?
7/30/2014 4:04:08 PM
No.
7/30/2014 4:40:54 PM
Guys had a pool party at Coach G's house today. Beejay looks so trim now.
7/30/2014 8:23:17 PM
that pool looks so shallow. it's not
7/30/2014 9:13:32 PM
Is that Alejo looking on?
7/31/2014 9:51:42 AM
Looks like they respond to a 3% tax increase with an 11% price increase Sounds about right
8/1/2014 3:17:02 AM
perimeter defense looks weak in that pic, typical gottfried defense everyone is late on their rotations and cluelessly out of position.gonna be a long season
8/1/2014 6:24:49 AM
They have to tread water too, pal.
8/1/2014 6:47:42 AM
^^ obviously you're not a golfer
8/1/2014 6:57:40 AM
face missed a "marco polo" defense joke? I'm disappointed
8/1/2014 7:53:39 AM
Per the twitters, sounds like Barber got a concussion at CP3's PG camp. Just another reason to hate Chris Paul.
8/9/2014 12:59:16 PM
damn. he suffered a concussion last offseason as well.
8/9/2014 1:24:02 PM
color me confused, but how the fuck do you get a concussion playing basketball ...pussification of america
8/9/2014 8:54:16 PM
i dunno...anytime you fall down and hit your head on the ground. taking a charge, diving for a loose ball, etc.
8/9/2014 9:06:53 PM
bad impact, wrong time. i mean look at PG's injury. all it takes is trying to make an explosive play and it goes wrong.just hope barber is ready to get full minutes this season.[Edited on August 9, 2014 at 9:11 PM. Reason : .]
