Wilson ran the play that his OC and coach told him to run. He threw the ball to the right spot and it was right where it should have been.

Problem is Butler and the rest of the defense knew the play and he made a wonderful play on the ball. Had Lockette been more physical or aggressive, could have been a TD but more than likely it would have been an incomplete pass, he was WAY too passive thinking he'd just slide in and catch it and fall into the endzone untouched.

Russell is about to get PAID.

Where's your god now? Actually, he's probably testing his faith, and it'll just make him train harder and be even better next year. He works in mysterious ways.

Sorry, I'm just kidding. I was rooting for him. He had really good scrambles as usual, it's amazing how he can shed tacklers so easily without even being all that quick. What a shitty way to lose.

yeah, i guess. i mean, he'll make a tackler completely miss with the slightest shoulder fake, and then he's off.

I thought it was pretty bad ball placement. If the defender was on the receiver's hip then he would need to lead him like he did. But since it was a pick play and the defender was giving cushion he needed to drill that ball right into the receiver's chest.

I thought the receiver slowed down a step. Can't believe he couldn't even get a hand on it.

The ball went right through his hands ... butler was behind him. The ball was thrown fine, receiver missed it.

Wilson finally throws state and TOB under the bus and absolves himself of any part not coming back. Apparently when you get a senior day because you tell coach you're out, skip spring ball and then demand to come back when your baseball career is flaming out, and get told you'll be backup on opening day, that's getting kicked out.

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/18/russell-wilson-says-tom-obrien-kinda-kicked-me-out-of-nc-state/

I don't know how anyone can still pull for this self centered dickbag. Well, anyone but God because God fucking cares what happens to a football team

Tom O'Brien kinda kicked him out, and Russell Wilson kinda made the decision to leave himself.

There's no winning this argument.

Lolololol. We as a fan base are implicitly responsible for everything that happens in our program. Just ask the pen state fans and the everyday stigma they have to carry for their Sandusky mess.

Shit like this makes me like RW less. Man up, admit that you bear SOME responsibility, and quit trying to blame TOB for doing what was best for the team given what he knew.

I'm pretty much over Russell. All his corny ass inspirational quotes make him seem fake. He wants to talk about us kicking him out, but he basically left the rockies organization. He seems to forget that he would probably still be playing baseball (most likely in the minors) if he hit more than 225 in Asheville.

It also looks like he is using baseball to milk more money out of the seahawks.

So these quotes are from an upcoming appearance on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel that airs this Tuesday 4/21 at 10pm. Regardless of how much Wilson gets paid by Seattle, it's good that it comes out that he wants to still play baseball. Both college and NFL programs/franchises want their on-the-field general to be 100% focused on running their offense. It's different with halfbacks and corners like Deion and Bo. A quarterback has to be fully committed to his football team at all times, even if in the off-season it's just conditioning and diet and not getting arrested. As much as TOB might have fucked up in the whole ordeal, as I've said before you can't let one player hold your program hostage, no matter how good he is. And on the NFL level, he isn't even the best player on his side of the ball, unless Lynch starts to break down this season.

HUH? He throws Obrien under the bus but I fail to see how he is throwing State under the bus? He came back to Carter Filey after he won the superbowl, he said that he wanted to finish his career at NC State, he gave a lot of credit to State for making him a better football player. Russell did make BIG demands but Obrien agreed to them and then suddenly flipped the switch and decided that he want a QB to show up at spring practices. Obrien should of been straight i the beginning but he wasnt which ultimately cost him his job. Anyway, it worked out for Russell, Glennon, and the wolfpack fans with Obrien depature.

I like RW and everything he did for State In his 3 seasons here. But he plays the media perfectly. He's a PR machine in terms of always knowing what to say and always coming off as looking perfect. He's playing the "Coach O'Brien wouldnt let me follow my dreams" angle and that's, I guess, partly true. But it's far from the complete truth. And I like RW way more than I'll ever like TOB. But I'm not siding with RW on this. After several years of everybody in the local media reporting one thing (TOB didn't want RW to hold team hostage, didn't wanna lose both QBs, etc) we're suddenly supposed to believe RW's story about being kicked out now? Don't act like he didn't have a choice.
