All-in-all We did pretty okay. The Plate sequence went off pretty well, and we came real close on the first phase for the Templar.

Everyone interested in raiding should watch over (or read) some walkthroughs of what to expect in the VoG, and next time I think we'll be fine.

It's about balance too. On the pre-templar fight, split up 3 best DPSers for each conflux. Then the relic part should be the most agile, and probably someone who isn't as strong on DPS because when that shield goes down you gotta DPS the hell out of him before he enrages.

Might Pick up Truth to get the void damage for a RL, and maybe take a chance with the exotic engram, other than that I think that's it for me.

Even with the bubble I think the adds can still get close enough to sacrifice themselves.

I'd say the bubble is a bad idea. You'd be trying to kill the vex who might slip inside it and you won't be able to because you can't shoot through it.

It is - there were a few times I had to run to the other spire to cover it. I would set up a bubble a little bit off and let it blind them. that would allow me to melee them down, but if I put the bubble too close they would still sacrifice themselves.

I picked up a rare and legendary auto rifles since we tried last tried as well as the badd juju and an exotic helmet. I leveled the helmet up to give me a 4th Golden Gun bullet. Hopefully all that helps me stay alive and contribute more kills

Also, if you want to do the raid with us tonight and havent studied up on it...watch the following video. It is 53 minutes long, but it shows everything that will need to be done.

Basically:

Step 1 : Raise the Spire. Don't let minotaurs into the circle pads.

Step 2 : Kill off enemies, don't let them into the spire.

Step 3 : stave off enemies from 3 separate spires. Don't let them sacrafice themselves into the spire.

Step 4 : Kill off all enemies until the oracle notification appears.

Step 5 : Kill off all oracles. Bright yellow lights will pop up in 5-7(can't remember exact #) different locations. Kill them above all else when they do pop up. We'll need to be stationed around the map. They will make a ringing noise when they appear. They are #1 priority...they disappear in a few seconds after appearing. If one disappears before we kill it, we all die.

Step 6 : Kill the Templar. He has a shield that is always on. One person will need to get the secret weapon item that brings his shield down. The secret weapon item will also cleanse everyone if an oracle spots them or some such nonsense. When the Templar's shield is down, DPS him to hell and back. There will also be red ringed areas that if you stand in them, his shield will stay down.

Step 7 : Gorgon's Labyrinth...there will be two loot chests in this area that we will want to get. Also, DO NOT GET SPOTTED BY A GORGON! WE WILL ALL DIE! Do not double jump, do not use grenades, do not attack the gorgons. Any of those will attract them and kill us all. Having someone on the team that has beaten this before that could guide us through this would be very nice.

Step 8 : This leads to the final part and i'm not as clear on this as I am the areas up to this part. Another video I watched had a dude explaining it, but he was very confusing. Like i said to the last part...having someone that has beaten this before in our team would be very useful to explain and show us. The good news is, if we make it this far, trial and error won't be so bad seeing as how all we respawn to is this part...not all the way back to the beginning or anything. Roughly though, you have to go through two different portals and grab some weapon while killing oracles that will give you a DPS boost that will allow you to kill Atheon. Like I said, i'm not too knowledgeable about this area, so I would need some help in explaining it.


Thats just a rough draft of what to expect. For anyone that wasn't on our team last week when we tried this, we made it to step 3...and could never pass it. hahaha
