or people who happen to frequent sites that either wouldn’t write anything about leaked footage or sites that would do the bare minimum and add a spoiler alert at the top of any Jeopardy postbut you're such a brat that couldn’t even think of that. you just had to accuse those who didn’t know as being uninformed citizens jesus christ you’re fuckin’ sad, man.[Edited on June 4, 2019 at 1:14 AM. I don't think Jeopardy is typically near the top of the list of shows where people are requesting spoiler alerts.

lot of victim-blaming happening in here
6/4/2019 7:39:43 AM
JFC my post was at 830 in the morning before the news of that clip had been widely circulated. I heard about around lunch time that he lost and he was joking about it on twitter that afternoon. Jeopardy apparently airs in Montgomery, AL at lunch time so at that point there is no longer an NDA on James.
6/4/2019 7:56:47 AM
Jeopardy is aired in the morning in some areas, so it was common knowledge by lunch. It was all over the news, social media, and internet. It's like any show. If you go to a message board and see the main thread discussing it bubbling to the top, don't click on it until you've seen the episode from that day, it's really not that difficult. Even if you came in here and saw a big "SPOILER" tag...what else do you think someone could be spoiling other than "oh shit he loses"?
6/4/2019 10:00:22 AM
Miserable people gonna be miserable.
6/4/2019 10:19:54 AM
how does any of that not apply to spoilers about any other show? it's still dickish
6/4/2019 12:02:42 PM
I hadn’t been watching, so the spoiler didn’t really affect me, but just wanted to say I browse news websites, Twitter, Facebook all day and this was the only place I saw it ahead of time.^^^thats dumb, people like to discuss things, it’s kinda why this whole place is here. People don’t (and shouldn’t have to) avoid show threads “the day of” especially if it’s a solid 10 hours before the show airs in the area most of us live
6/4/2019 12:24:03 PM
^, ^^ exactlyjust because other outlets spoiled something hours after you did doesn’t mean you didn’t spoil

Jennings draws first blood

Jennings so chickened out on final jeopardy. In the lead by 200
1/7/2020 9:03:12 PM
It’s best of 3 matches, and a match is won with most money after 2 games. He did what he needed to take the first match, betting more wouldn’t have helped him. Totals don’t carry on to tomorrow

It didn't matter, neither of them could catch Ken, why not have some fun.

Jeopardy in the hot seat for counting Palestine as the wrong answer for the location of Bethlehem (it is in the West Bank), and counting Israel as the correct answer.
1/12/2020 11:30:48 PM
Yeah I saw that story earlier. Thats an example of a story I think most people in the US even those sympathetic to plight of Palestinians agree is not big deal at all. Your use of hot seat is hyperbole.
1/13/2020 12:54:55 AM
Yes it was hyperbole, but also remember, the world has more than just Americans. Many outside the US do see it as a very big deal, and see it as a continuation of the supremacist colonialist-settler narrative. Not like anything will happen, but it does speak volumes symbolically. Actually, it should be a big deal in the US as well... I mean, we are talking about a quiz show, so facts should matter regardless of where one's sympathies lie.
1/13/2020 4:31:42 AM
Damn, that shit was intense
1/14/2020 9:00:31 PM
What was up with Brad... i guess he was just checked out or hasn't been keeping up with his trivia...
1/15/2020 11:14:20 PM
I'm glad Ken won. Now he can come back and host when Alex kicks the bucket. Also he's the GOAT.
1/15/2020 11:30:55 PM
I do not want his whiny, lispy voice hosting
1/16/2020 5:57:05 AM
https://twitter.com/jeopardy/status/1235233566193152000?s=21Trebek had a 16% of making it to this point and has a 7% chance of making it to next year
3/4/2020 5:27:32 PM
Things that help improve cancer survival rates: having a shit ton of money. But that aside, I'm glad he's not dead.
3/4/2020 6:24:06 PM
Wouldn’t the odds readjust for him in the second year? The odds were for everyone who is diagnosed, only 16% make it to one year and 7% make it to two years from initial diagnosis. That would make it just under 50% since he made it to one year for him to make it to the next. Not trying to downplay what he’s done but from anecdotal evidence his cancer diagnosis is usually so bad that most who are diagnosed die within a few weeks or months.

I liked how the outgoing champion did that strange squinty look every time he was listening to a Daily Double clue. He bombed last night. So many wrong answers.
1/6/2021 6:45:47 AM
Alex' last show
1/8/2021 7:15:31 PM
was totally pulling against the dude who won, who seems like the kind of guy who will totally brand himself as the last winner before Trebek passed
1/8/2021 7:47:06 PM
Ken Jennings
1/16/2021 1:56:10 AM
very rare tie/tiebreaker tonight
1/22/2021 7:48:01 PM
I like Ken as host. I like him better than Alex. Doesn't mean I wanted Alex to die.
1/22/2021 7:57:55 PM
Ken Jennings is not in the same universe as Trebek, and I say that as someone who really likes Ken Jennings
1/22/2021 8:13:58 PM
Alex was pretentious. I attended a taping when NCSU hosted the College Tournament, and I was so turned off by his personality that I stopped watching the show for several years. Ken's not the same as Alex. To me, that's a good thing. I respect your opinion.
1/22/2021 8:43:29 PM
I enjoyed that aspect of Alex's personality. How he would cut people off to WRAP IT UP and not even try and feign interest after the first break when the contestants tell their stories. Or how he would lightly mock people for wrong/bad answers at times. And his jokes, sometimes at a contestant's expense. I watched Ken's first episode and quickly was like no no no this is not right he's being way too nice to the contestants
1/22/2021 10:13:18 PM
Haha. Different take, for sure. Ken does a better job of pretending to be interested in the contestants' lame anecdotes. Alex was just going through the motions, and that was long before the cancer. Of course their stories suck, but if you're going to be a dick about it, why even bother with that segment? If they cut that crap out, they'd always be able to get to all the questions on the board.
1/22/2021 10:33:46 PM
authenticity always wins out over going through the motions
