"anyone comparing RVP to the Goetze transfer is an absolute idiot"

It's pretty similar actually. Bayern is obviously better set up to win the CL going forward. Dortmund has done an amazing job to get itself to where they are but will never be able to compete with Bayern's money in the long term.

Only difference is that RVP had a chance to go play for a legend and great leader of men who does things the right way for a club that is a beacon of morality in a dark world.

Trolling aside, RvP was probably more of a traitor considering how Arsene stuck with him through his glass stage and rape charge. I actually think he's a decent guy though more or less. But be didn't announce he was leaving during the season at least.

[Edited on April 23, 2013 at 7:48 PM. Reason : RvP also DID have a trophy with Arsenal -- just a loooonng time ago]

RvP isn't even close to a traitor. he gave arsenal most of his prime and had nothing to show for it.

arsenal have turned themselves into a selling club. neither they nor their fans are in any position to call anybody out as a traitor.

haha Manchester United is much better than the other top clubs when it comes to spending money. The only player we have paid over 25 million for and has been a flop is Veron. There have only been few world class players that United has bought outright, Stam, Cantona, RVP, RVN, Berba to name a few. The others have been young players with huge potential. Its called smart spending lad. That's a hell of a transfer record. Also not to mention the fact that Man United's spending has been justified by what we earn. The fact that you don't know this is just ignorant ABU logic. We are a beacon of morality compared to Chelsea, City, Madrid, and Barcelona on transfer record. Bayern follow the same example really. Arsenal should follow the same example but their owners are too cheap to give their manager enough funds for a top player.

Where I am discounting Goetze is the German mentality that Bayern is the place to be, that mentality isn't prevalent in England. And news has come out today that he grew up a bayern fan. That explains most of it, I am not as pissed now. Still though he should have been much more classier about it (although I feel Bayern executives have more to do with leaking the story than Goetze himself.)

^^^ Every Spanish team will be playing when you are in Europe in August. The schedule won't come out till around June most likely. First kickoff weekend is usually the second weekend of August, could also be third. Just be patient, jesus.

^^ I'm mostly trolling you because of the pedastal you hold United on, but I do agree that United is certainly more responsible than the Chelsea and City type (or Malaga for that matter).

As far as Arsenal they remain whole since deciding on building The Emirates. It's just what they do for better or worse. It's been mostly worse given the trophy record but if you want to predict who is still standing strong in 25-30 years between the current big four, Arsenal and United are your safe bets.

skaterjaws, I answered your question in the other thread already brother.

Quote :
"You'll have to wait for the new schedule to come out in a few months. But the season started August 18th last year so it looks like you'll be there right around the first weekend of games.

I'm sure there will be preseason games you could check out earlier too. Not exactly the same as the real thing but I'm sure it'd be easier to find good tickets."

Borussia Dortmund are hands down the best club in football. Best fans, a club that does football right and plays some amazing stuff. I need to go watch a match there.

Germany has entire standing-only sections dedicated to fans. Still a killer atmosphere though!

Yea. England needs to bring back the standing only sections, they killed a lot of the atmosphere in the premiership grounds. The fact that Borussia Dortmund have done this by staying within their means and built that squad is fantastic. The whole team oozes confidence. Makes me believe that if they can hold on to the rest of their squad and replace Lewandoski with maybe Dzeko and buy smart again they will be right there again. Its great to watch.

The crazy thing is how good their young players are. That and still having talent to burn after selling class midfielders like Sahin and Kagawa.

Both are pretty bad. Aquilani for 20 was bad.

Beacon of Morality's 30 mil for Veron fucking 12 years ago is pretty awful too but I might not know what I'm talking about lads. Robinho was 30+ too, which was pretty dumb, although I know why they did it at the time.

My vote for the worst is Shevchenko.
