Duke is a lock to win the acc regular season unless Plumlee gets hurt.

The rest of the conference is wide open. We will be in dogfights with FSU Miami Maryland Virginia Tech North Carolina and Virginia.

If we improve we could finish 2nd or 3rd but If we stay the same we will finish somewhere between 4-7.

Theres enough data to make these predictions with a good bit of confidence. If we don't beat UCONN, we'll certainly be a bubble team all year unless we knock off duke to make up for the horrid first half of the season.

People are not going to take this seriously because they don't realize just how few chances we will have to pick up quality wins this year. The acc is down and UNC getting embarassed is really bad news for us because the ACC probably just lost another tournament bid to the big10 making the bubble that much tighter. All of our other nonconference games besides uconn western michigan are meaningless for the tournament resume. We don't want to put our backs to the walls and have to go win tough rough games in the acc to survive

Yeah, it's unfortunate that we play so few quality OOC games this season and that they are all pretty much back to back, leaving us little time to improve between. If we lose to UConn, we are going to have to beat Duke at least once this season.

Pretty much this. Last year we went the entire season without a single quality win (save for texas, but that was luck due to a huge run in the 2nd half) until we got our shit together and beat miami and virginia.

Now with a top 25 ranking, people are going to expect us to beat all non-ranked teams, and at least have a couple wins over other ranked teams. If we don't then we're gonna turn into "that team who started out #6 and didn't even make the tourney."

The kid is obviously troubled. It was probably really hard for him to go to kentucky and be expected to be a superstar. Not many people would be able to fill that role and take the criticism and pressure that comes with it.

I hope he has a good year, but if we ever play them, I hope they get destroyed.
