All of the experts having us as their most expected upset makes me nervous. That being said, this is definitely a winnable game. I'm trying not to get too amped up about Friday.

to be fair its not an "upset" we are the better team and are favored because of that.

So analysts are taking the easy road by being like "oh its an 11 seed, look how smart i am if they win or lose close" but in reality we are the favorites.

That being said, we are only small favorites. We are only favored to win this game about 55% of the time. We lose games like this approximately 45% of the time.

So there's no need to act like this is a crazy win or a crazy loss if we win or lose. This is a game we need to win because are a real school that wants to win basketball games.

This is a game we HAVE to win.

I don't think we'll win, but that's because NC State athletics have turned me into a cynical dick.

I need to see some precedent before I can believe in them winning a game that matters.

No, I won't base our season off of one game. Overall, our players improved a lot over the offseason. Unfortunately, that hasn't translated into being as good as we should be because we still refuse to play defense.

I hope that we play well enough to win our first game and be competitive in the 2nd game.

Yeah pulling for NC State will definitely make you cynical. I've been pulling for NC State since I was 10, so almost 20 years. I've had some players that I have loved over the years...Grundy, Gainey, CC...but this is hands down my favorite team. I would love to see a second round match-up against G-Town and possibly a sweet sixteen.

I was listening to Ovies & Gold on the radio and they seemed pretty sure Leslie was gone after this year. I sure hope not b/c this team could be for real next year if he stays.

Eh. Leslie will leave if he can get a good draft spot, there are a lot of big men in this years draft. I can see him staying for another season building off of this one and being a national mention by the end of it. That would probably maximize his draft potential.

On another note, can anyone get the cbs Android app to stream? Only tried it a couple times, but I just get the commercial (of course that works) and then the game sound comes on with no visual. If it ends up being shoddy, I'm gonna be super pissed because I actually paid for it. Only $4 but still.

I was at BW3 for lunch today watching some of the games and noticed a Gottfried press conference on ESPNsomething. No sound so I couldn't tell what was being discussed. Then they showed clips of the SDSU coach. I assume it was all just coach speak BS, but did anybody catch it?
