It has been reported that Jerry Sandusky was often late for work which is understandable as he liked to come in a little behind
11/10/2011 9:59:12 PM
He could just wear a toboggan and no would recognize him anyway
11/10/2011 9:59:43 PM

The only other place Urban Meyer would consider coaching is Notre Dame.

I'm sure this has been brought up, but Sandusky "retired" in 1999, and no other college wanted to hire him? This was JoPa's heir apparent for quite a while. Why would no other NCAA school (or NFL team) want the guy right away?Unless they all knew what we are learning now.
11/11/2011 7:05:29 AM
^ I heard on Wednesday he interviewed for the UVa job at some point. But they didn't hire him. One, I figure schools do their own background checks and see things they don't tell the public. Two, it's plausible they talked to people at Penn State and Penn State said "don't hire him".[Edited on November 11, 2011 at 7:44 AM. Reason : ./]

he was obviously focusing his attention on building up his Second Mile shithe also won coordinator of the year the season before he retired, another strange move
11/11/2011 7:53:44 AM
Worst situation? Sandusky was pimping out boys in exchange for football wins. All head coaches for any major schools in the past 15 years implicated!

I dunno. If you tell your boss that you saw a coach fucking a 10 year old in the shower and after a few weeks you see they've turned a blind eye, it's your moral obligation to go straight to the police.
11/11/2011 9:07:23 AM
Moral, not legal. So many people seem to be confusing the two.
11/11/2011 9:10:05 AM
i would prefer my coaches to have a bit of moral decency and to be let go when their moral judgement suffers such a severe lapse. would I throw them in jail for it, though? no.
11/11/2011 9:23:03 AM
^^The way I see people confusing the issue is that when one group says the guy should be fired along with all the rest of them another group hears "the guy should be tossed in federal prison right now."Morally he didn't do the right thing. That lapse in judgment is enough to get him fired I'd think... regardless of his role as a whistle blower. The legality aspect is a separate issue from whether he should remain on staff. I thought there was a law stating you have to report a crime like this to (real) authorities. I suspect that any criminal charges, if applicable, will be ironed out in the future but it seems like firing the guy now is a no-brainer.[Edited on November 11, 2011 at 9:36 AM. Reason : -]

It's not like the coach here is Butch Davis where it was questionable whether he believed in morals in coaching to start with. This is Joe Paterno, a huge part of his act was that he was a moral coach and Penn State was a moral program that did things the right way. This is something McQueary signed himself he sent out to recruits this year.[Edited on November 11, 2011 at 9:35 AM. 11/11/2011 9:31:29 AM
He should be gone as coach as Penn State and blacklisted from every D1 program for the next five years. The thing that bothers me is his dad speaking for him to the press. He's almost 40. Grow a pair and come clean once and for all.
11/11/2011 9:32:38 AM
11/11/2011 9:39:42 AM
HE'S A MAN!!! HE'S 40!!!
11/11/2011 10:17:02 AM
Yeah I don't see how this guy keeps his job and Paterno couldn't. You fire one, you fire them all in this case.
