So apparently WMATA is retarded enough to think that the 1-day shutdown wasn't all that bad traffic-wise, so shutting down for 6 months for maintenance is a plausible solution. Either this is a threat to extort more money, or WMATA is more incompetent that I give them credit for. Or both.

I'd like to know the numbers on how many people were estimated to have telecommuted to work that day.

Do you all have a lot of the dirt bikers and ATV riders in your neighborhoods? I see them occasionally, though usually closer to barracks row. They don't bother me too much, but then again I'm usually walking around those parts. And not having to drive around those idiots popping wheelies while going 5 mph down a busy road

They're rampant in Baltimore. Some city council members are seriously pushing to get a dirt bike park built in west baltimore, despite it not being legal to ride them to the park and these riders most likely dont own trailers.

We even have people riding horses through town sometimes. It's downright comical.

I'd wager that 95% of the dirt bikes you see here are stolen. I have no idea how someone living in a row house keeps a horse.

Hello fellow Washingtonians! It's been a while...
I'm broadcasting here from Navy Yard, just south of the Capitol. It's almost inauguration day for Trump, and things are already hyping up around here! I went running down on the mall and saw all of the setup the other day...what with the fencing, barricades, flags hanging, etc. As for myself, I'm going to steer clear of it all. I think that I will just work from home so as to avoid all of the onlookers, protesters, traffic, and rats.

If you don't hear from me again, it means that I was mauled by a pack of wild women at the Women's March on Washington.
