Cleveland was one insane shot away from being swept.

They've been outplayed in every game so far, so the chances of them winning three straight are pretty damn slim.

To be fair, almost every game in that series has come down to the last possession. Cleveland might have won both Games 1 and 4 if not for Rashard Lewis 3s in the final minute of regulation. In Game 4, Orlando set a franchise record for 3s made in a playoff game (and shot 44.7% on them), and still had to go to OT to win. I don't think the series has been as lopsided as a 3-1 lead would have you believe, even though Cavs are a miracle shot from having been swept.

With that said, they aren't winning 3 in a row. This is ova. Also, the Lakers won't have nearly as much trouble with the Magic as Cleveland did, since their big man are actually quick enough to get out and defend 3 point shooters.

Cleveland still has a chance if they can somehow get 2 technicals on Howard so that he is forced to sit out game 6 in Orlando

or if the refs just decide to give Cleveland the games

^^ I agree with the Cleveland/Orlando assesment. It has just been a great series where big shots were made in the closing minutes...lucky bounce one way or another could have lead to 3-1 Cav's, 4-0 Cav's, 2-2, or 4-0 Magic....

I'd say no chance for Cleveland if they had one home game left

But they have two, and their 39-1 record in games they tried to win during the season still means something

I think they win tonight fairly easy, by 8 or more

Orland will be amped for Saturday, but Cleveland is very capable of winning that one as well

I think it will go 7, just like the Lakers series, and Stern will get his Kobe/Lebron ratings bonanza that everyone wanted all along

i like cleveland's offense

give the ball to lebron, let him juke his defender 4000 times, then get a three point play. why doesn't every team do that?

Well at least we don't have to listen to that inane argument that Kobe is better than Lebron anymore.

It wasn't even close this season...

I realize Kobe has a much better team so he doesn't have to go completely balls out the way Lebron does every game but Kobe didn't have a standout year... his regular season wasn't even top 5 in the league... that's not all due to lack of effort, his game has slipped a bit and Lebron is flat out disgusting...

There is nothing controversial about saying LeBron is better than Kobe. He may not be as skilled, but he has such a huge physical advantage over everyone else that it doesn't matter. Plus he's become a much better jump shooter this year and can no longer be called LeBrick.

Kobe in 2006 was a better player, and probably the most unstoppable scorer at the guard position we've ever seen, but he's lost a step since then and LeBron has eclipsed him IMO. Although, as he showed last night, he's still one of the best players in the league and there is no one else I'd rather give the ball to in the 4th quarter.

also every one says Kobe is not a team player, but he has played that roll very well lately. He is not the nicest guy in the world, but he gets his team members to play better then they are, and he watches probably more film then any other player in the league. That's why Kobe and the Lakers are in the finals and Lebron bron is going to lose tonight....

i dont think the lakers win in 4 or anything but bynum is more athletic than ilgauskas, gasol is a crafty mismatch for either turkoglu or lewis, kobe is too quick for turk or rashard, and dont forget about the zen master

also i think odom can d up lewis or turkoglu fairly well

^and^^^totally agree.

and, the loss of Jameer Nelson really hurts for Orlando here. The Lakers are extremely vulnerable at the point, and although I like Skip-to-my-Lou, Orlando's lead guards aren't geared to exploit this weakness.
